Nothing unusual at the moment. Dog treats and about 30 Sherwin Williams paint swatches would be the most unusual.
I so love hearing what random items people carry in their purses.

haha!! I think I'd do this, too... (but it would probably be hard to make it MORE messy than it already is.) I'm lucky I don't actually NEED the key to start my car, because my keys are always *sunken* to the bottom of my purse somewhere. But since there's 3 different compartments in my purse, I can never find them if I need them; I end up dumping the entire purse out on the passenger seat of the car if I need them.

A laminated card with my son's hockey team names and numbers? A Bit O' Honey? An unopened insurance statement?
Anyone? Anyone?

I carry a small purse, so I don’t have too much in it. But I do carry in one of the pockets a charm necklace. It has a bunch of charms on it that family members have given me over the years. I don’t like to wear it, so I carry it in my purse.

It's not what I have, it's the sheer number of things:
10 different colors of lipstick, two chapsticks. UGH. I am a lipstick junkie.
6 car wash gift certificates that my ex husband gave me when I got a new car...in 2008. Hey! I need to use them up.
8 door keys I had made for my farm house and machine shed.
I may need to clean it out...get a smaller purse maybe.

some of these are so funny! 😁 Cat poo....WOW! 😜
I didn’t think I had anything unique until I remembered that yesterday, I had some rocks I painted to look like bulldogs, pigs, and panda bears. I was hiding them at many different places I went to; it’s so fun! 💕

Tape measure Chapstick holder minus the chapstick I carry a tape measure too. But it's the 3' Stanley "key chain" version. I have a sandalwood fan, because I'm at that stage of life, and use it often.

1. Almost forgot , there’s also a note that says RETURN ROMAINE LETTUCE !!! written in huge red letters. 😬
2. Something many others**. MIGHT have? A note behind my driver’s licence that gives info about the care of our doggies in case DH & I are in an accident and either hospitalized or killed. We have no family here, so it lists local friends and bulldog rescue friends who would be sure they were taken care of. 🐶❤️🐶
** I never want to rely SOLELY on my phone to give authorities important info! What if there’s no cell signal where we are and/ or the battery’s dead, the phone is lost, etc. ? 😱 There is another small card in my wallet with contact info of many of DH & my family members, plus our Blood Types & allergies.

I adore paint layered covered things. I offered the preschool $$$for one of the easels. And there is a clipboard at the dump that they use for you to sign a receipt, I so want it. Me, too! My coffee table is a little antique rectangle-ish drop leaf table that a old (80s?) lady donated for a local church garage sale. It has layers and layers of paint on it and she thought she would help by sanding it to bare wood to sell better/look better. She gave up after working somewhat on the top. Because of that they thought it was "junk" and put a low price on it ($5- I think) I love it as is. Legs and little side drop-leafs are a sage-y chipping green and the top is some bare wood and layers/splotches of greens, white and red paints. One mans junk... I just oil it every once in a while and smile as I do. I would like you to know that as I was scrolling and scanning I saw "One mans junk" and wondered how having some dude's "junk" in your purse could possibly have a rational explanation other than a Lorena Bobbitt. It being the peas though, there very well could have been. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/Q_m8lDOvc_3Le3r1GKdf.jpg)

farmgirl... I’m a lipstick junkie, tooooo !!!! I love the colors, but also can’t stand dry lips! I have 4 matte lipsticks and 3 glosses in my purse, which is a bit much, but... ya never know what color / texture you’ll be in the mood for.....amiright? 😜 Also, GOTTA carry a regular, colorless Chapstick for the times I go out sans makeup. ( eeek!) I have the kind of face that honestly looks BAD au naturel; but if it’s just a quick trip to the nearby grocery store.... no wayyyy!!!

I have 2 men's handkerchiefs that belonged to my late Father and FIL. My Father died in 1990 and FIL 2015. I keep them in a zipper pocket and always travel with them.

Flashlight that doubles as a cutting weapon and pepper spray. Both are from my son. When I walk the dogs at night, I do worry about coyotes.

The other day I had a handful of McDonald straws. I pick them up for my husband cause he is a straw snob. So we always pick up extra's for him. Funny thing is that I have to have my bag inspected before going into work and the officer searched my bag he looked up at me and said I won for the month for the weirdest thing.. I usually have those too. Their straws are the best! i was just telling DH that their straws are the best! we rarely go to McDonalds but if we have to start hoarding straws, i'm going to have to grab more next time we go.

workingclassdog can you imagine the officers reaction to some of the things listed here. I think if I had to have my bag checked daily, I would deliberately put odd bits in it just to amuse him. There was one young guy who was really nice and gave me a hard time about my messy purse.. He said his wife is the same way. (My debit card was just thrown in my purse).. He says it drove him nuts when she is always looking for it.. I had to laugh at that cause there was my card just laying in my purse... so now when I notice that he is the 'checker'.. I either make sure it is VERY organized.. or make it more messy... My ex husband used to say that my car, "looked like the bottom of a ladies purse"
In fairness to me, I had a young child. You know what it is like with all the books, wrappers, etc. back there.

I carry very small cross-body style bags with no room for anything but the basics. I can't play this game. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) But I'm thoroughly enjoying the responses so far. Interesting! Me too. I always wondered what people carried in their large purses. My purse is a large waxed canvas bag into which I have placed a felt organizer. I have a small palm-sized wallet, a large toiletry bag that includes contact lens solution, rewetting eye drops, contact lens case, ibuprofen, Valium, nail file, travel-size hairspray, travel size hand lotion, blister bandaids, flossers, Tide To Go pen, and mirrored powder compact. I have reading sunglasses, regular reading glasses, about 6 purse packs of tissues, Tic-Tacs, and an informational flyer on EMDR from my therapist. I have another bag full of lip gloss, a bag with my checkbook, extra deposit slips, pens, and two sets of earbuds—one Bluetooth and one wired. I have a regular size Midori Travelers Notebook and an additional small pad of paper. Last but not least is a pack of wet wipes.

I am carrying around my VNS aka Vagus Nerve Stimulator. I had it removed over a year ago and talked my surgeon into letting me keep it and I've been carrying it around in my big ass bag since then so that any Dr I have that might want to see it can. It is about the size of a pace maker with electrical cords so not too large.
I'm not thinking that there will be too many other Peas with a VNS in their body much less their purse!!

I too carry a tape measure in addition to a pencil case with mini office supplies, a mini stapler, paper clips, roll of tape, white out and a sticky note pad in addition to a pen and pencil and a hi-lighter.
I also carry a zippered pouch that is my hygiene case...lip gloss, hair brush, moisturizer, tissues, wet wipes, Tylenol, Claritin D, etc...

The strangest thing I have in mine right now is a clipping of my dogs hair. Wrapped in a tissue, from the day I had to put her down 5 weeks ago. Can’t seem to take it out of there yet.
I also think there’s some loose catnip in there... the bag leaked when my cat found it and ripped it open 😂
Tape measure, check Checkbook, check Chapsticks, check Million receipts, check
