I love seeing everyones' lovely crafts! I used to love embroidery, and made several that I framed and gave as gifts. If my hand problems ever resolve, it would be fun to learn to knit and/or crochet. phoenixcov.....OMG, I LOVE your cottage !!!! ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png) Sooo much detail, SO cozy, pretty, and sweet! Many years ago, my sister made the sweetest miniature Victorian Christmas living room; or I guess it would be more accurately called a parlor/ parlour. She created miniature treats out of clay, and the detail was incredible, and they looked yummy! I went gaga over it every time I saw it. Several years ago, she gave it to me, and it needs some loving repairs. I keep MEANING to, but I haven't yet. Your photos inspired me to get it out of my attic and restore it ! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg) I'd also love to add LIGHTS like you have on yours! cmhs......Love your snowflakes! I've been on a snowflake kick for a few years, and I would love to make these! Mystie....Love your gorgeous cards!

Isn’t this shawl gorgeous in the green? I’m not taken with it in the brown but I love the green! Yes, I first looked at the link and thought ugh when I saw the brown. The green seems like an entirely different, beautiful creation! I was all ready to hate on the brown but then I opened the link—and I like the brown and purple! Both are gorgeous but if anyone wants to make one for me, I’d prefer the brown one over the green one!!

scrappintoee, that sounds like a lovely roombox. There are loads of battery operated dolls house lights available now. That would be easier than trying to wire up the room and needing a transformer. . Please will you post some pics when you get it down from the attic? I would love to see before and after pics. Here`s an old pic of a Victorian style room in one of my houses. It has been done up a bit since I took this photo, really must get round to taking more photos soon.

I made these as a Christmas gift for my hairdresser and his partner. I have an appointment this afternoon and he's going to do something special - I always appreciate what he does. It's hard to dye candle wax black: it took me half a morning to get it right. They're scented with cinnamon spice.

Thank you so much! This is the pattern I'm using but if you want to do a different one that's fine Poppy pattern We're using cheap acrylic yarn as it's going to be outside and leaving a couple of tails to tie them to the display. Thank you. I'll PM my address.

The angels can sing and Santa Clause can now come to town...I have finally finished the quilted Christmas tree wallhanging!!! ![](http://stevengale.smugmug.com/Other/Peasmilies/i-PfMNmzG/0/O/thumbup2.gif) Pleased with how it turned out and DD loves it! I am pretty sure that I have never underestimated the time required, not to mention the size, on a project before as much as I did on this one. Still trying to figure out where my brain was when I read 77" tall x 24" wide and did not comprehend that was 6'5". ![](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/JvSt42CUoZ9LG952aAaF.jpg) Then I had the brilliant idea I would quilt it myself, forgetting that I am a slow quilter and don't really enjoy it that much. The pattern came with 2 tissue patterns, but I don't think that second one is going to happen any time soon. The good news though is that it is completed! The brooch at the top is a thrift store find ($20). The buttons are from my stash. I let DD pull out the ones she wanted to use. She also discovered some gold fish charms and insisted on adding 7 to the tree for the Feast of 7 Fishes. We are neither Italian nor Catholic, but she dated an Italian in college (still friends) and thought it was a fun thing to add. I added them to the bottom of the tree so it has Fish Fringe! Off to add the photos in the app. ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181215/aa4406da3965b90a7ec24d957d9142c6.jpg) ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181215/3897784430c30dfbf20e08736e4a3ac9.jpg) ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181215/b45336dc22b23c064cea44f053de46de.jpg)

![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181216/b55041ffb65384a4b09eb10ea8b40987.jpg) I decided last night to make cards for my fam... I hand cut some phrases from blank kraft card bases. I’m going to cover them in gold glitter. (No worries, we are a pro-glitter family).

ashley - that looks like a whole lot of work! How long did it take? Maybe an hour? A bit less? It’s the kind of work I like doing though... careful and kind of meditative. I put on some Christmas carols and cut away. There is something very rewarding about getting to the last few cuts as all the negative spaces start popping out. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg) The kids used the rest of my card blanks so I’ll have to get some new ones before I can finish more.

I fell down a bit of a rabbit hole of Polaroid quilts on Pinterest, I'm going to start collecting fabrics to fussy cut in the new year and think it will be an ongoing project for 2019

I'm going to be collecting fabrics for a USA collage quilt this year. It will be for my great nephew. Already have the pattern, which is actually the fabric with the design printed onto it Each of the states is shaded to indicate how dark/light the fabric should be. ![](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/4e296b_9f000f527b744577b5b2a6fe28d32d64~mv2_d_3750_2232_s_2.jpg/v1/fill/w_498,h_296,al_c,q_90/file.jpg)

Wow, love that! Where can you find the fabric? USA Collage Quilt It's by Emily Taylor Design. After the first of the year I'll start tracing the individual state shapes onto the fusible webbing. This project was one of the factors that pushed me to go ahead and buy this lightbox by Daylight. They had a fantastic quilt show price ($160 + free cutting mat) so it was hard to pass that up.

Great projects, all! I sew and knit a lot, though in spurts, but never post my stuff here--not sure why not, maybe will try harder in the coming year. I really like your wall hanging, Gypsy Girl, so much so that I ordered the pattern and plan on making for next year.

I finally finished the reading pillows for my grandchildren for Christmas. Each pillow has a pocket to hold a book and a handle to carry it around. We'll be filling each pillow with a new book, activity book, treat and small flashlight before wrapping them up. Now I can get back to quilting!
