PLurker I adore that little jumper, can I ask where you got them? JoAnn Fabrics. I may be there later today, I can check if they have any left...

Mine is small in comparison, but yesterday I made a couple garlands and a white coffee filter wreath to take our mantle from Christmas to Winter. This was the first year I did something other than traditional colors and garland, and I'm in love with it! It really clicked when I saw on Pinterest how people set up little bottle brush vignettes inside large glass containers, which I have a lot of. ![](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/thumbnailer/AbPmxdGNgssiSQOmYmrX.png)

wellway Thank you:) They were well received by the family. DD is going to use one to take lunch to work and uni. My mom is keeping some to reuse next year. Hopefully we can keep reusing the same ones for many years. They’re about 10” by 13” as I was trying to use the whole fat quarter with no scraps. I’ll make some others in different sizes. I also need to find a way to put a tag on each one so I know who to give it to as its easy to get mixed up as they’re all similar.

I bought that yarn at a yarn show. Believe it or not the woman who sold it to me said that as she was dyeing it she only did two skeins because she thought it wouldn't sell. Seriously it was my favorite yarn at the whole show. It's such a pretty pink/brown with the sparkle.

If she’s not made any more, your shawl is unique!

75% of my children just left for the next week... I have a quilting vacation planned here at home. I am hoping to finish the wedding quilt I started for my sister two years ago (her two year anniversary is in one month!). All that I have left to do is sew the binding on, I already have the bias tape made.

I didn't leave the house for four days straight! I love a good staycation for crafting.

This and another pillow just like it were nearly 67 years in the making. My aunt did the embroidery and I turned it into pillows for her great granddaughters. The story is on my blog post. ![](https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_woFI9Ph80g/XCka8lQAndI/AAAAAAAAKHU/fGKKQ6kSzf8LiY5Av5uLFJX6Rol6v2qQACLcBGAs/s400/blog68.jpg)

I dont know who made it. I have several pieces of antique Lenin but dont know who made most of it. That's a great idea!

Just popped in to say HAPPY NEW YEAR to all you crafty peas and to show you a pic of my new dolls house mini Juke box. (I also posted this on the favourite present thread). It has lights and sound and is perfect for the pub.

phoenixcov - That juke box is perfect for New Year's Eve! lisae - Beautiful pillow with a beautiful story behind it. At a Christmas bazaar I spoke to a woman who is making some very pricey pillows (over $200) with vintage linens like yours. I'm going to have to pull out some of my old stamped cross stitch projects and get busy! Wishing all the crafters and makers a very Happy New Year. May 2019 be the year we all work though our stashes! ![](http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r481/2peasrefugees/Smilies/rofl.gif)

I haven’t posted on this thread in probably a couple of months, but I always read along as it’s my favourite thread on the whole board, so it seems like a good place for my last post of the year - and to share my last FO of 2018! So, halfway through November, my mum commented that she’d like me to make her a new triangular shawl for Christmas. I gave her one (unrequested) for her birthday in 2017, and it turns out she really likes it and uses it loads, but it’s a little small and she wanted something bigger for the colder days. I had a brief chat with her about colours etc, but given that I only had 4 weeks and had to fit this in around work etc made no promises! A trip to the local Hobbycraft store, and a trawl through Ravelry for a pattern that would work up quickly, and I got started the very next day. I decided to add tassels (although I’d never made them before) too. I finished with a few days to spare, and this is the result: ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181231/89702fb9ea0403c4f0b3c24aeafb6df7.jpg) Colours aren’t terribly accurate, the light here in December is atrocious. Closer view of the tassels, which I made on small trigger clasps so they are removable for easier laundering, and gives the option to dress it up or down. ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181231/42f25988c703aa213330a49526ae0af6.jpg) And here it is boxed up ready to wrap. I printed my own tag for it, and pulled out some old school scrapping supplies to add some small eyelets to it, which she can use to hook the tassels on if they’re not in use. ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181231/fa5ea35fb49a8b620012fd7aa4622332.jpg) She was really pleased with it, although I forgot to get a picture of her wearing it! Wishing everyone on this thread a very Happy New Year. May 2019 be productive, fun and peaceful.

It’s great jennyap and I love how thoughtful you’ve been with the care instructions and the tassels. Such a good idea to be able to remove them easily.

Is there a January craft thread yet? I looked quickly but it's nearly bedtime. I couldn't see one - didn't want to start one if it's already there...
