Are you pushing up and turning? Or just turning? I'm pushing up, then turning. The attachment moves when I push up, but I can't get it to detatch when I turn it - it moves the entire mechanism. Well, that doesn't sound right. Sounds like the mechanism might be loose?

Have you ever had an experience like this? Something you thought you didn't need until you actually tried it and then we're won over? Yes - like you, it was a kitchen appliance. I contemplated for years - YEARS - about getting a food processor. I thought...I don't need something like that often enough to warrant the cost or taking up the space so I would manually grate my cheese or use knives and such to chop up things. When I needed a cheesecake crust, I would put the graham crackers (or oreos) in a ziplock bag and pound them with a rolling pin. Well...a couple of years ago my SIL was downsizing and gave me her food processor. Even then, I thought - boy this is just going to take up space. Then I used it to make a cheesecake crust and it took seconds and was finely ground and I was in love! I use my food processor at least once or twice a week now and I don't know how I ever managed without it and why I resisted it for so long.

I adore mine. My original one is lavender and my parents got it on sale for my 21st birthday when Williams Sonoma had them on sale - out was an Easter color and my birthday is on June. Dh got me the professional one a couple years ago for my birthday. I use both of them at least monthly, if not weekly.

Enabling here: Best Buy has this one on sale for a phenomenal deal. Not an affiliate link. Saw the sale on Money Saving Mom. Tempted to buy it myself, and we already have one, LOL. Oh and jeremysgirl TJ Maxx has had some Patricia Nash pieces in the last couple times I have been in there. OK-It's your fault. I need your name, number and address so I can properly pace the blame when everyone sees my new mixer! Even though I had absolutely no plans for a stand mixer again, I gave away my previous one! Who could pass up this deal! And it's a beauty too!.So pretty.

I really should just send you a thank you card. I didn't even realize I had sort of been eyeing them until you pointed this out. I would have bought a smaller 3qt Artisan with less power and not have been as happy. This is HUGE with an amazingly powerful motor! So thanks!

Thanks to the enable-ing Peas, I just got home from Costco with a new KA 6qt lift bowl mixer at a great price! I got rid of my really old Oster a few years ago as I hadn't used it for quite a while. I've borrowed my neighbors' hand mixer a few times this year and have been thinking of getting another stand mixer. Glad I saw the Costco deal mentioned here.
