A few pages back someone was looking for a name that was not kikinichol of a pea thin long brown hair with a daughter... I think her pea name was chopped liver... her daughter was a cheerleader and she got lots of crap cuz she was young and wore full face make up for competitions... She came back here for a few posts and disappeared again.. Chopped Liver was a nice pea. I really looked forward to her Christmas candy threads. Her daughter was a cheerleader and she also had a younger son. She left the board for a while, then came back to say she had discovered her DH had been having an affair for 11 years. She disappeared soon after. We're friends on FB. She's doing really well now.

The husband who faked a mental breakdown and was found wandering the town with his pillow? If so, I thought that eventually she said it was theft.

Also, the Tracie Claiborne thing absolutely happened here. There are more than one very long threads about that woman on the Sb Board. The thing about her whining about people picking on her on the Smack Blog was hilarious because she was constantly posting while logged in and immediately deleting what she posted after she saw she her name. She would always claim she was just defending herself, but if that was the case why delete what she posted? Obviously she was a huge contributor to the nonsense spewed over there, but wasn’t bright enough to make sure she was logged out before posting.

I have seen RHJ around on FB as recently as a few years ago. Hope she is still okay.

She divorced him and moved back to her home town. Remarried and had another boy. Her new husband came on the board one day and caused a bit of an uproar (I can't remember what it was about). And I ask myself why I remember this!

Regarding the OceanDreamer thing: The main issue to begin with was that she said she was going to out the people who were posting under their own names on 2Peas and then going under fake names and viciously, cruelly trashing people on one of the mean blogs. Many MANY people laughed at her and said it was impossible, that there was no way she could do that. They called her names and just scoffed.
Well, it turns out she COULD and DID do it. I don't even know if it would be possible to do now, but what she did was drop in on a thread and say something like "just passing by." She would do it on the mean blog (as herself) and also on 2Peas. There was a photo in her sig line and that's how she did it. Every time someone posted on one of the threads where she dropped in, the photo hosting site would collect some data including the IP address. It was simple but ingenious. She did send me the spreadsheet and raw data to verify. I was skeptical too. How I verified it is that I identified someone as posting on the mean blog, just a fairly innocuous anonymous post in defense of herself, so nothing bad. It's a person you would all know. She and I were not friends and had a history. Anyway, I emailed her to ask her about it, and she confirmed it. I did it several more times as a test and yup, OD really was able to identify people.
As you can imagine, when the already asshole people who were anonymously trashing people on the mean blog realized they could be outed, there was a very strong and vicious response. One person in particular, who was for sure one of the most prolific and cruel posters on the mean blog, led the way. I believe she contacted attorneys who contacted Two Peas, or at least she posted to that effect. Prior to that happening, Jeff White and I were actually in contact about the situation. His only regret was that I admitted I had the spreadsheet, heh. He asked me not to talk about it on 2Peas anymore, and I told him I would not, and I never did. Some time after that, OD and I were both banned. However, there was so much more to the story that most people never knew. Sometimes I would read stuff about it and just laugh to myself. In a vacuum, people will jump in and make up all manner of crap.
I would do it again. I paid a price for it, but I regret nothing. It was interesting to see how far people would go to protect their online personas. I got phone calls, somebody briefly added me to a Wikipedia page about something (it was taken down almost immediately by those Wikipedia editor people), I got some threats, people thought they were driving by my house, it was a little crazy. I didn't really care that much about the people who thought they were driving by my house because they were nowhere near where I actually lived, plus my house at that time was pretty well isolated from any kind of drive-by people spying--they would have had to work at it. This all played out on the mean blog. Was it the Meat blog? I can't remember anymore.
But the BIGGEST thing I learned, one that truly shocked me, was that one of OceanDreamer's main critics on the mean blog, someone who said some really mean things about her, was a close online friend of mine. They both agreed and I gave them the contact information, and I think it was a positive experience for both of them, and that OD found some peace and hopefully so did my friend. As far as I know, she is. We have a mutual friend on FB and I think she would tell me if Jamie had gotten ill again or died. That girl is a fighter. I admire that about her.

That second woman you mention was a nutball. Wasn't she the one who posted how sad it made her, or how awful it was that mothers were glad when the school year started back up. I can't remember her name but I can picture her. Was she the same one who couldn't wait to have the summers to spend with her kids and judged those moms who didn't want to spend every waking minute with their snowflakes......oh, and she had summer camps lined up for her kids to attend the entire summer? Or am I mixing up two of the perfect mothers we should all strive to be They weren’t REAL Sumer camps, they were things she was creating for her kids and calling them “camps” because camp is fun. I felt so bad for her kids....they had ZERO down time over the summer

The thing that sticks in my mind most was the worship people had for Brooklyn. I don't remember a worship, more like a very interesting story. Gave a baby up for adoption, married a musician in a country band, got divorced, married again or not? and had another baby.
That was the big eye opener for me that online forums are not safe spaces. No matter how much it might feel like a community on the surface, it's really not. It really was a disgusting, shameful, and ugly thing. I have a former pea friend who was targeted a few times on that blog and it hurt her badly. She came to scrapbooking and 2peas because she was going through some bad stuff and craved something positive in her life. And she got shit on by a pack of disordered hateful cunts. I'm the one who told her about the place so I felt really guilty about it. It ruined scrapbooking for her. Worth repeating
ADD got her butt handed to her because she constany posted about a lot of personal problems (potty issues in school) one of her kids was having and she didn't seem to do much about it. She also said someone from the board outed her to her bishop for something that really didn't matter.
Was it here that there was a well-known member that was a pagan or something & outed as a fraud in some way? I’m remembering a stunning profile picture in a red gown. Scrappower, I believe was the name. That was so interesting. I really wish I knew all the back story. I always thought scrappower was a reinvented pea. She reminded me a lot of the pea who was from Florida. She and her husband were in real estate and deeply affected when everything tanked. I remember she had a couple of kids. The posting styles were similar.

The pea with the feet pic avatar was FrugalScrapper and now she’s refugeepea NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! That was not me! She lived back East and had a couple of kids. I remember her changing her name to frog something?
PrincessLasertron started a clothing boutique with a business partner, killed it as an AirBnB Hostess, and then decided to run for her state House of Representatives, and won, this past November. I remember her making a flippant joke about Nazis that wasn't well received. She did apologize

I am talking about the start of the board when she was not married, she came back after a long absence to post that she was getting married, actually I think she was posting under a different name and mentioned a certain flower she wanted to use that tipped everyone off. She then admitted she was Brooklyn but I don’t think she posted much. The peas were overly interesting in her life and what she posted and they absolutely gushed over her. Ittfelt weird to me

I knew a little about how the concept worked from my eBay posting days. Those people were insane. The level of detective work and messing with people's personal lives would make most here stay off the internet forever. But I learned a lot about scammers and fakes and phonies, and learned the hard way to keep personal things that could identify you off the internet. I've relaxed my stance a bit more here, but you should always be wary. I forgot all about the meat blog, I only remembered the more recent one.
