I’m talking about a website it had something to do a TV for some reason it was incredibly cheery and happy and nobody was allowed to say anything negative This is ringing a bell and I want to say the name had "sisters" in it.

Anyone else grateful that they’re so “vanilla” that their name will never be mentioned in a thread like this (good or bad)? ;D

When I first started coming to the boards (in 2002), I couldn’t believe how heated the breastfeeding threads got. Some people had *very* strong opinions on both sides. I came here in 2004 and remember it still being strong. The one comment I remember is any woman who doesn't breastfeed their child is selfish.
Omg! I remember the “achingly sharp cheddar”. 😂😂 I remember the European butter was far superior to use in baking. Into Goddesses and magic wands and all that stuff. Brooms

LessMerlot was the zebra print, platinum dancer, cousin loving, satire poster who LOVED to use the word BASICALLY! I always wondered what pea came up with that crazy story. I loved getting new installments to the "story"! I have all the LesMerlot stories saved on my computer. Yes, I remember, that basically, she was at a higher level of dancing than a Solid Gold dancer. Dancing was basically the power that would enable her to snare her cousin. Strangely, I remember her name as being More Merlot, not Less

A few pages back someone was looking for a name that was not kikinichol of a pea thin long brown hair with a daughter... I think her pea name was chopped liver... her daughter was a cheerleader and she got lots of crap cuz she was young and wore full face make up for competitions... She came back here for a few posts and disappeared again.. That was me. Thank you! It was bugging me. (The expression, “What am I - chopped liver?!” seems fitting here.)

I remember so many of these but was mostly a lurker on the old board. How much some peas shared of their personal lives just drew me in but when I saw how easy a post went from 0 to 1000 I was like no way am I getting involved!
Was it feederlynn's "girlfriend" who posted about what was going on and then he stared posting? I remember being shocked that he would feed her crazy amounts of food and she let him fatten her up. That was crazy!
Was there a pea blogger who's son drowned drowned in a creek after a really bad storm made the normally safe creek swollen with fast running water? I felt so horrible for her and her loss it was so tragic.
I learned so much about - being Mormon on the old board, not having to respond to things I had a different opinion about, being ok when someone did their own thing, not falling into a "trap" or taking someone's bait and that being funny and light hearted is important!

The scrappower drama happened here, but I never thought the scrappower here was the same person from there. The posting styles were really different, and the photo thing also didn't fit the "real" scrappower. It seemed like someone "stole" that name in the crossover, but not sure why anyone who wasn't her would want to be her. She was, IMO, a very Eeyore type of person.

1. Many (manyyyyyy!) pages ago, someone asked about a cat -loving, polyamorous pea with a husband and a boyfriend. I can't think of her name, but I think it was on this board.
2. I'm pretty sure I enjoyed all / most of molove's posts.
3. I'm pretty sure this pea's name was Tammy (?) she had long, light blonde hair in her avatar pik, and I think she told lots of funny stories of her children. Later, she either changed her name to something like "bad houseguest pea" (or it was the description under her name).

That was crazy! I'm trying to remember how that came to light. His pea name was StingerLynn and he was on the board regularly. He seemed innocuous enough, and then that bit of information surfaced. I vaguely recall that someone saw him on another site where he talked about his feeding "hobby" and outed him. Maybe?

The thing I remember about the "Boston..." lady with the adopted twins Bostonheart - wasn't that her name? Another pea we haven't mentioned was LesPea. Remember her wedding? Thank you Spongemom Scrappants! I have been wondering about LesPea, myself! I couldn’t get her whole name out of my brain until this morning. When I came to post, I saw you beat me to it!

I also remember a pea Tracy(?) who was asking for donations or gifts from her “followers” I think it was Tracy Claiborne ? She was very off putting by asking/suggesting/not-so-subtle soliciting donations for herself from her listeners, and doing it under the guise of Jesus and being blessed. Like God has favored her as THE special one. I believe she was finally run off the refupeas as peas were calling her out on it. From her blog... “I'll end this long story by saying we are still negotiating with the hospital on the cost of the surgery. I have a big stack of bills on my desk but we haven't paid any of them yet. The money donated ($8K) by my friends and listeners is still set aside and we will apply it to what we owe as soon as we figure out what that amount is. I found out today that the discounts we were promised were not applied so we are working with a financial counselor to get the final cost. Right now it's quite a bit more than we thought it would be but I am hoping we can get the cost down. It really doesn't worry me, God has brought me this far and will work it out for me. “I'm working my way through the list of donors and sending thank you e-mails, crying, reading their notes to me on each donation, saying they are praying for me and wishing me well. I should have sent them sooner but the last seven weeks, I was in so much pain, my life kind of fell apart around me. I faked it a lot of the time, taping podcasts and posting on Instagram and talking in our group and going about my life but my family and Tiffany will tell you, I couldn't even have a meal without moaning. I was miserable! I am just so glad to be through it all. I have experienced chronic pain before, after my last surgery, but this was a new level of horror. The thing that has kept me going through it all, other than the grace and peace of God, is my family and friends, both local and online. I've received so many cards and messages and kindness from so many people. I thank God for the life I've been given. He's been talking to me about how I can repay people for their kindness and I feel Him urging me to give things away like classes and content and my life, as much as I can. I have plans to do just that!” Interesting that God was urging her to give away classes and content, and then they took their podcast to a pay subscription so that it’s no longer free. 🙄

This has been a very interesting read. Seems I've missed some great threads by not being on the old board. One question though, could someone explain who/what the Garden Girls were? Thanks

Thanks The Garden Girls were the design team for the original Two Peas in a Bucket website, which was first and foremost an online store. Their projects incorporated product that was sold on the website, inspiring board users to purchase it.

I felt so horrible for her and her loss it was so tragic. I believe you are referring to ScrapaholicMT (aka Jennie Pak). She lost her son Alex. She is a very nice pea and I miss her on the board. She very generously started a 2Peas Genealogy FB group. It’s pretty inactive, but still there. I really would like to do a reboot on my genealogy search. I’ve been inactive for quite awhile.

A couple more memorable things for me are that I pronounce Jinger as Jing-er and not Ginger and I still make beanbean’s pumpkin pound cake every fall.

First of all, after reading this I realized how old I feel because I remember almost all of these old stories. And second, you all must have not hung out much on the GS boards (I was there more than NSBR cause I was pretty much scared of that board, lol) but there was an EPIC thread somebody started about a YT video craft share of something like that. The woman was close to a hoarder (Laura something comes to mind?), anyway comments were made and this woman's friends were Peatlejuiced to the GS board to defend her. The standout post to me was one of them called us a bunch of "Hippocrates" and it was the funniest thing ever. Epic thread! The woman and some of her friends posted YT videos about the Peas and then more of her friends came to the board to defend her again. I wish I would have saved that thread cause it was the most action on the GS boards other than the Gate threads. And I can't believe I remember that many details. Any GS board peas remember this?

Oh yes and we had the craziest things happen on “Thrusdays” (can’t remember why we spelled it that way, there is a story) usually I’d be reading long into the night... epic thread, peattlejuiced people, hair flips, haikus and the hof always seemed to happen on a Thursday! Thank goodness I was a stay at home mom during those years, I had time to read through 20 pages after my son was asleep! Lol.

Was it Scrapping Latina? I used to watch her videos sometimes. She posted a room tour one time and opened one of those little white library card catalog drawers that used to come four-to-a-cube and shoved it back closed again and said that was where she hid the credit card statements from her husband. Then a little while after that room tour, which was STUFFED to the gills and by that point she had made like one or two scrapbook pages ever, a whole wall of paper collapsed and she filmed this breathless aftermath video. Then she moved her room upstairs and completely jammed it full again, and then I think she moved it somewhere else and it was totally crammed, but she has been posting "destash" videos in the last year or two. I felt bad for her. There was clearly a problem. On the other hand, one of the reasons I used to watch her videos was as a kind of cautionary tale because I can hoard some paper crafting stuff....

And thank you Pumpkin Pound Cake 2 1/2 cups sugar 1 cup vegetable oil 3 large eggs 2 tsp baking soda 3 cups all purpose flour 1 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp nutmeg 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 (generous!) tsp cloves 1 15 oz can pumpkin Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large mixing bowl blend sugar and oil. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine all dry ingredients; add to egg mixture alternately with pumpkin. Mix to combine. Pour mixture into a well greased 12 cup fluted pan (bundt pan) and bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan. Cool completely on a wire rack and dust with confectioners sugar. You're welcome. Enjoy!

Was this the same person who got slammed for posting a photo of her spare/guest room that she had been using as a ‘dumping ground’ and needed to declutter? Some peas couldn’t believe someone could allow their house to look like that, and others defended her with their own confessions.
