Oh yes and we had the craziest things happen on “Thrusdays” (can’t remember why we spelled it that way, there is a story) usually I’d be reading long into the night... epic thread, peattlejuiced people, hair flips, haikus and the hof always seemed to happen on a Thursday! Thank goodness I was a stay at home mom during those years, I had time to read through 20 pages after my son was asleep! Lol. Thrusdays came from LadyStars because that's the way she spelled it. Was LadyStars the one who couldn't pay her trash bill and then Peas (including me) sent her money and she posted a picture of a new ring not long after? and also went to Disney?
And was she the same one who had all of her scrapbook stuff stolen out of her car?
I remember all of these stories when I read them here, but many of them I'd never remember on my own.

1. Many (manyyyyyy!) pages ago, someone asked about a cat -loving, polyamorous pea with a husband and a boyfriend. I can't think of her name, but I think it was on this board. 2. I'm pretty sure I enjoyed all / most of molove's posts. 3. I'm pretty sure this pea's name was Tammy (?) she had long, light blonde hair in her avatar pik, and I think she told lots of funny stories of her children. Later, she either changed her name to something like " bad houseguest pea" (or it was the description under her name). 1- I asked about the polyamorous pea - it was Sparki and she was definitely an old board pea. 3-could it have been Supermom-tff? She had long blonde hair in her avatar pic.

I just searched for Scrapping Latina on YT and she popped up. She’s still a hoarder.

Was there a pea blogger who's son drowned drowned in a creek after a really bad storm made the normally safe creek swollen with fast running water? I felt so horrible for her and her loss it was so tragic. I believe you are referring to ScrapaholicMT (aka Jennie Pak). She lost her son Alex. She is a very nice pea and I miss her on the board. She very generously started a 2Peas Genealogy FB group. It’s pretty inactive, but still there. I really would like to do a reboot on my genealogy search. I’ve been inactive for quite awhile. Oh my. There's another blogger who had the same thing happen to her son. She still blogs and writes books. Heartbreaking.

I kind of think you might be remembering PunchDrunkPea. She was around when I first started lurking on the old site. Seems like one of her posts said she didn't have any money to buy bread. And wasn't she the one whose husband "magically" came across a whole scrapbook carrier full of scrapping supplies? I could be wrong so somebody jump in if you remember her.

A few random memories I have:
When certain peas used to post about being “threadkillers.” These Peas claimed that they were so unpopular that when they posted on a thread, no one else wanted to post after them and the thread would die and fall off page one.
When sewing on scrapbook pages became a popular trend and everyone ordered a mini sewing machine which cost $10 and came in a variety of colors. Everyone posted which color they had ordered. (I ordered purple and never took it out of the box).
When lots of peas submitted entries for CK’s Hall of Fame issue. CK called the winners on a specific date stated in the rules. The winners weren’t allowed to say anything until the Hall of Fame issue was released.. Peas would post on the day the calls were to made, stating that they hadn’t received a call. Then everyone would try to figure out who had not posted and therefore had probably made the Hall of Fame issue. I wasn’t a good enough scrapper to even consider entering, but I always thought that day was exciting.

I remember it feeling like jr. high at times at the old board.. About once a week someone would start a “What peas would you like to have dinner with” thread. The same peas would be named over and over. Some of the peas everyone wanted to have dinner with were consistently nice, but others were some of the meanest peas on the board. (Just like in jr. high, everyone fears the mean girl, but wants to be friends with her). The popular peas would gush about everyone wanting to have dinner with them. Then needy peas would start posting and say “No one knows who I am. No one wants to have dinner with me.” Nice peas would assure the needy peas they knew who they were and would love to have dinner with them, but the mean peas would ignore the needy peas. The mean peas probably made a note on their spreadsheets to be mean to the needy peas soon. I always thought those threads were entertaining, even though nobody wanted to go to dinner with me.😢😢😢 Me either. I always found those threads to be so funny. 😁

I remember there being one or two peas (not around anymore, I don’t think) who were famous for being the “funny ones”. They could say the most benign things...”I had a tuna sandwich for lunch today”...and people would respond with “Oh my gosh! I just spit iced tea all over my monitor! You are so funny!” I remember feeling concerned that many posters didn’t actually know what “funny” meant. I remember this, too. I remember one whose name was Monique (I think) who was an absolutely "upper tier" Pea (that quote is also from the old board). There were definitely others, but she sticks out in my mind. I'm not sure what happened to her, I think she left long before the board shut down. I think that she left the board.

I remember most of this stuff.
No one has mentioned mapchic. She was the very Catholic, conservative pea that use to write these long, eloquent responses on political threads. Then I discovered she was a master of copy and paste. If you were in a live discussion with her, her writing was completely different than when she had time to "compose" her thoughts.
Do you use a guest towel in a bathroom? It was never resolved. I still don't know if you should.

The Thrusday thing became a thing because a famous scrapbook product designer put out product with Thursday spelled incorrectly. Heidi swapp or Teresa Collins? I can’t remember which one it was.

It was Heidi Swapp, but that is just a coincidence, I think. It was a washi type tape. She had a rash of crap product at the time and when people would post about it there were always a bunch of fan girls who would post defending her like the people who bought the product were being mean to the individual Heidi Swapp instead of the company.

I think her son crashed the neighbor’s/friend’s garage door and she didn’t have money to pay? Libis was the Disney Pea. Thrusdays was the rolling scrapbook tote. This feels like playing Clue.

Anyone else grateful that they’re so “vanilla” that their name will never be mentioned in a thread like this (good or bad)? ;D I am very grateful.

Oh man, I remember most of these.
Someone mentioned Ariana a few pages ago. I always liked her blog. She's newly divorced and a single mom to six. That has to be tough.
I liked Heartcat and always enjoyed her long winded posts. I miss Virginia's wit and snark. The TTC peas were the first people I shared my infertility story with.
I used to lurk a lot at the old board.
Does anyone else remember the Margarita Mamas?

I would do it again. I paid a price for it, but I regret nothing What a martyr to the cause! I seriously can't believe that, all those years and (hopefully) gained maturity and you'd do it again? Fuck me. You got yourself embroiled with one self absorbed woman who posted a bikini shot of herself on a board full of other women and that lead to personal threats, legal action threats, message board banning and literally months of your life wasted thinking about this and you'd do it again? That's just mind boggling. If you need to be the central figure in that much self created drama, then there are bigger problems you should be dealing with. OD being "really hurt"? she photoshopped bikini pics of herself to brag about how good she looks on a board full of women (who like your friend) probably aren't as thin/plastic surgeried/fake haired/photoshopped...Blind Freddy could have seen what would happen there. Did she think no-one would notice she didn't have a navel? You were "blindsided" that someone on the internet said mean things about someone else? Bullshit, you were one of the original mean girls and you revelled in it, don't rewrite history now, you knew exactly what you and others did to amuse yourselves. And now you're styling yourself as some sort of "peacemaker" in this fiasco, seriously? No, you're more like one of those firefighters who sets fires so they can go and put them out and then be hailed a hero. I actually still do not believe for one second she or anyone else was able to identify people based on an IP address. They may have got a location and it would have been all guesswork from there. You'd need to contact every ISP and have them give you the details of the person with that IP. But you stick to that narrative if you feel it validates you. I used to look back and feel a bit sorry for you getting caught up in it all...but now this, 10+ years later and you've gained no rational insight at all? Almost impossible to believe and changes my opinion quite significantly.

Chopped Liver was a nice pea. I really looked forward to her Christmas candy threads. Her daughter was a cheerleader and she also had a younger son. She left the board for a while, then came back to say she had discovered her DH had been having an affair for 11 years. She disappeared soon after. We're friends on FB. She's doing really well now. This makes me happy, I always enjoyed her posts.

Does anyone else remember the Margarita Mamas? Yes! Only people invited to the thread could participate. On the old board, you could change your pea title to whatever you wanted when you hit a certain number of posts. I changed mine to Margarita Mama and joined the thread for a brief moment.

I would think if she had a list of IPs attached to a poster from each board it is then just a matter of matching them up. I know nothing about obtaining the IPs, but if that was possible then IDing posters wouldn’t have been difficult.

I just remember sending money a few times via PayPal.
Posting candles. Long threads of best recipes. I just tossed out a 40 pager I had printed out .

I haven't read all of this thread, yet... but I do remember some of these stories. I also came from scrapjazz because of all the "veggie site" stories. I was curious, but was a lurker for the most part. Like someone else said, the mean girls would jump on you for anything. I just kept my mouth shut and read. I do remember a blonde lady with short hair named Penny something. She posted a lot. Seems like she was on here in the beginning and someone pissed her off or jumped her for something and she left? Am I remembering that right? Or was it on the old board? Like I said I haven't read all of this, so don't chew me out if it's already been posted...

Mine was yellow. I took it out of the box, all excited, and then realized.... I didn't know how to sew. I don't know what happened to that little machine. I must have given it away at some point.

Honestly, all remember about her is that she scammed a bunch of peas and a Cropper Hopper full of scrapbook supplies was involved. I too had forgotten a lot of all these different stories as well, but other people's recollections are sparking some of my own.

There was a pea who had some kind of kidney issue or some kind of rare leukemia, and I think was on the waiting list for kidney transplant and maybe got one? I can't remember her name, or all the details of it. She used to write a blog and they maybe had a little boy? There was some kind of controversy with her too. Has she already been named and I missed it because I still cant remember her name?
