Someone posted about this YouTubber a month or two ago. I was kind of fascinated by it since I make kits and decided to try it with a paper pack that only had 6 pieces of paper and a half sheet of stickers. I also found a small pack of 3 x 4 cards that matched that really helped. I kept thinking I would need to add something else because I generally use more patterned paper on a layout (this one uses 2-3 papers). Other than a few of my Christmas pictures needing to be horizontal, it was fast and kind of fun to try. There was also very little waste. This line of videos has 4 layouts or 6 layouts using a paper line. You do the same cuts for 4 or 6 and just use different placement of the papers for different looks. She has 10 different videos for the 4 pager and 6 different looks for the 6 pager. You really need lines with stickers and 4 x 6 or 3 x 4 cards to make them look full. Just in case anyone needs any inspiration today... www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUGELlkkWl8&list=PLOuDB0pIQAE0NIZ4weTFQKUPX--qC1FsXI love the idea of this. I just need to get motivated to make the kit. Janet from RTS Scrapbooking does something similar with her 4 For 4 Series. I think she's done three rounds of it and the next series will be similar but with different cuts on the paper. I just started watching her too. I watched many of her organizational videos too. I cannot imagine putting all of my ephemera in books. I have two of all that I have and at least 100 packs. Not going to happen. I do have 8 lids (from Target) that were $1 each that I use to sort ephemera. Those work for me. I also think the lady from RTS travels quite a bit and that must work for her. Sometimes I get more enthralled with her manner of speaking that I forget what I am watching. I do that when people use two syllables for one syllable words. And she talks pretty fast so I do enjoy that.

I was watching a YouTube video recently and the woman kept saying 'eeyond' in a long, drawn out way instead of 'and' and I couldn’t focus on what she was talking about.

950nancy both your pages are lovely, I really like the 3x4 cards border on the first page. I also love how you throw down a random line like "searching for the pickle on the tree" with no explanation. I have to ask, what is this about?

searching for the pickle on the tr Although incorrectly attributed to a German custom, many Americans of German descent hide a pickle ornament in the tree and whoever finds it gets to open the first gift, or gets some other kind of reward as determined by the tradition in that family. I actually bought my pickle ornament in Germany because they sell them for the American market.

I also love how you throw down a random line like "searching for the pickle on the tree" with no explanation. I have to ask, what is this about? Since my boys were little, we have them search for the hidden pickle on the tree. Whoever finds the pickle first, is supposed to get a gift. Instead, we let that boy be the one who passed out the gifts in the order that they chose. Now that they are older, they still have me hide it for the honor of being pickle boy. For years, we believed it was a German tradition, but lately learned it originated elsewhere. I did add the 3 x4 border because I had so many extra cards that I hated to not use.

Finally got power back. It's been out for 2 days in single digit temperatures. DH and I have been doing shifts to keep the wood stove burning so the pipes wouldn't freeze. He's sleeping now, so he doesn't even know the heat is back on. DD has a snow day (ice day actually.)
Anyway, there was no scrapping for me Sunday and Monday, but I'm hoping to be back at it before next weekend. I have a funeral to attend tomorrow that will bring me by my LSS, so I'll be stopping in for a quick peek around.
Have a good week everyone!

Every school district in town is closed today. That is extremely rare. We usually have one or two hold out. Since my city butts right up into the foothills and 14ers, we get some weird weather patterns that jump over areas of town. Not unusual for part of town to get a foot and another get a dusting.
Since I work from home, I wasn't so lucky. I actually worked extra and now am ready to scrap this afternoon. Need to make some hot chocolate and warm my hands up first.

I finished my other layout I started this weekend while waiting for my daughter to get out of urgent care. I had a 7:30 appointment with the school for 1 1/2 hrs. she went home from work sick, picked her up, came home, housework, dogs, made dh breakfast- he has a fever and gout flare up. Stopped by the gas station got a call that my son was sick.. dropped her off, picked him up . Drank coffee and finished my lo while waiting for her. She’s almost done, so I’ll go pick her up and hopefully nap!! Lol hopefully they will all feel better tomorrow!!

950nancy What a great job you did with some really bold prints! msliz Yikes! No heat? I'm glad it's back. dasmith2 It's supposed to be sub-zero here most of the weekend, so I'll be scrapping away in my flannel pj's. I worked hard to clean last weekend, so I can slack a bit this weekend .

mikklynn Yikes!! That is cold!! I was not thrilled about running to the store in 15 degree weather today, but starting Tuesday, it’ll be even colder. I’m already stressed about the heating bill, so I know the next one will be even worse. I plan on hunkering down this weekend and scrapping . I have some quick housework to do today but nothing major because I don’t feel like it 😂 I’ve been scrapping at the kitchen table for the last week since it’s warmer upstairs and bonus the light is better . Since returning to scrapping, I’ve discovered I do need bifocals. I’ve been putting it off for quite a while, but it’s been very difficult to do things just using my regular glasses. It is time 😰😂

Glad to hear you are in your flannel pj's and scrapping away, mikklynn . Good luck with your hunkering down, dasmith2 . Would love to see what you create this weekend. I see that msliz has been busy catching up on sketch challenges. I put together a couple of pages today after a week of doing other things. Got some photos printed in the right colours and sizes for what I plan to do with them, so hoping to get at least a few pages done this weekend. Have to make a card and a cake for dh tomorrow for his Sunday bd. Anyone else playing with paper this weekend?

I cannot imagine putting all of my ephemera in books I've seen that video. I like digging through my paper stash. I'd only do this if I was collecting certain packs, not if I was gonna reuse them.

Is anyone else scrapping this weekend? I'm hoping to do some scrapping tonight and tomorrow. DD15 has midterms to study for, and I said I'd quiz her, but hopefully it won't take too long. I have an idea for my next layout, and I'm anxious to get started on it!

I have a baby shower in a few hours and then am heading to JoAnn's for a few minutes. Saw that they had 60% off and another 25% for some scrapping supplies. Then I have some pictures from Estes Park to put on a page.

I will be purging my stash this weekend. I am going to an all day crop next month and it has been a while. A. WHILE. I am taking the opportunity to destash as I pack for the crop. When I used to go to monthly crops, my collection was a lot less....

I couldn’t imagine putting my emphemera in books either. I bought a case at Ms a while back that holds several ( I think 4x6 )boxes. I planned on putting my die cuts etc in there, but now I’m not sure.... I do need more counter room to scrap but normally have a couple of baskets that I use for die cuts etc.. I’m about to coffee up and head down to organize the scraproom 😂. I figure I’ll organize a bit, then look through my page kits to see if anything pops out at me to work on. My scraproom is an old kitchenette that’s in our bedroom so luckily I have cabinets and a counter to scrap on but it’s shared space, so I don’t have as much room as I’d like 🙄

My granddaughter is turning 3 next week and her party is Saturday. The theme is UNICORNS!
I’m going upstairs to pull all my supplies together and begin working on a mini album.

I’m going to head to the scraproom in a few, going to throw a load of laundry in and get some stuff done in between pages. This weekend has flown by I found a page kit I made a while ago while organizing. I’m not sure what else I’ll work on today after that’s finished. We are going to be moving my computer, Cameo down to the bedroom soon so that’ll be handy, except I wish I could have the computer in the scraproom so I could watch yt- I did that while scrapping in the kitchen last week and I liked having that scrappy inspiration right there!
