I didn’t quite make it back to my desk today but I did have a lovely day with family instead. Since it’s already Sunday night here there’ll be no more scrapping for me this weekend. For those of you still scrapping I hope the rest of the weekend is as productive as the start of it has been.

Chinagirl828 Sounds like you had a lovely Sunday! Time spent with loved ones > anything in this world. Thank you so much for playing along this weekend.
I'm off for brunch soon and will likely try to get some low impact exercise (*cough* lazy walk by the sea *cough*) in the afternoon. As soon as I get home, I'll hop back in and finish the LO I started this morning.

Sunday the 17th: Crop Day 3 Final crop day, already! Fear not, we still have some more time to play. Want some inspiration? Today, you may want to: 1. Use a FAVE | You read it right: how about making it fun for you? Grab a fave today and use for a project. Favourite paper, favourite alpha stickers, favourite line, favourite photo of a special (or not) occasion, go-to sketch, photo of a favourite place, etc. Make yourself extra happy and cheerful with your project to celebrate the end of the crop. 2. Go GREEN | Oh, how easy this one is. Some of us are celebrating St. Paddy's Day today. And we're close to entering the season of spring in the Northern Hemisphere. What's more appropriate than a touch of green? Make it your main colour, an accent shade, pick a photo full of it. There is such a wide spectrum of green hues to choose from so don't be afraid of going dark with autumn memories or super light with the softest pastel mint hues. 3. REFORMAT | This fun theme is a true challenge: break out of your habits and try a different format. This doesn't mean you need to buy new page protectors or change your style completely but challenge yourself to do something scrappy that isn't part of your current craft mojo. How about mimicking a Traveler's Notebook format on your LO? If you don't do Project Life, try to add some PL cards and PL-size photos to your page. Or switch up your photo formats: print your photos with a Polaroid or Instax frame template, print an extra large pic, etc.
No tip of the day for today except: HAVE FUN! Our crop ends tonight so make the most of it to finish some projects, chat with the other participants and finish your crop snacks.

For those of you still scrapping I hope the rest of the weekend is as productive as the start of it has been. Same here. I had DS's cricket grand final in the morning, and then we spent the afternoon swimming at my dad's house, and enjoying the hot weather. And now my EXD is playing up so I can't access any of my LOs or my digital supplies, so I'm calling it a night.

Good morning! I'm missing the chatter here. My computer is away to make room for the crowd at my house, and I'm struggling to read on the Ipad. I set it up this morning...everyone else is still in bed except me and DH (who will drive me to work). Got my sympathy card made. I spend hours pfaffing around with the die cuts - colouring, layering, inking, such teeny bits. And I only used 1/4 of what I made of course. But I'm happy how this turned out. Unfortunately, the sun isnt fully up so my pictures arent great, but I have to take it to work to leave for people to sign, so it's heading out the door! card thinking of you joanne by kirstendrew, on Flickr and the inside card thinking of you joanne inside by kirstendrew, on Flickr

I’ve been popping in and seeing what everyone is creating, and I’m blown away. I really love this community and how supportive everyone is. I love seeing all the different styles and how they are all welcomed. You guys are awesome!
I didn’t sign up to participate this time knowing that I had a bunch of schoolwork to get done this weekend. So instead of playing with pretty paper yesterday I spent 6 hours on statistics. I might sneak in some scrapping this afternoon but I really hope this runs again (and would be willing to put together a prize pack if that entices the powers that be to make it happen!)

I managed to squeeze in a few minutes of digital scrapping last night while my husband was doing some work. I didn't really get anything done but I was glad I'd set up a page so I had time to drag a couple of photos into place and write a quick caption and hit save. Better than nothing! If I refrain from rambling here I might be able to get a little bit more done this morning. The rare luxury of not having an early morning flight.
And I think I figured out my dSLR's settings a little better. I almost always shoot in Av mode but I wanted to get a clearer picture of what the other modes do, and I needed to troubleshoot why my onboard flash wouldn't fire (fixed!) I figured if I'm going to have my dSLR strapped to myself for the next week I should learn how to use it a little better.
I stuck a Jen Hadfield sticker in my bujo that says "collect moments not things" but let's be real, I'm going to be hoarding images, even if I don't buy a bunch of Japanese stationery.

Aww, how sweet and touching that your daughter immediately asked about her scrapbook when she returned from college. I love that the appreciation is real and the relation to scrapbooking reciprocated: you enjoy making the pages, she can't wait to flip through them. You continue to rock the complementary colour game! 'The Great Outdoors' is wonderful with all the green contrasting the orange. And then the grey-ish tones with the warm pink for that other Girl Scout album LO. The copper foil adds such a pretty touch (and that feather is perfect for all those outdoorsy activities #Pocahontasvibes). How cute is that butterfly pattern paper in your "almost caught up" LO? Love that some of them are brighter shades to pop out from the rest! Same for the colour pops on the ice cream LO. Did you use Project Life cards on this? The extra large letters you used to spell out "cookies" are really great. Are they plastic? Puffy? So, so shiny! It must feel great being completely caught up with such a big project. Congrats to you for pushing through. And what a considerate husband you have to pick up albums for you. Thank you!The ice cream layout does indeed use PL cards (or cut-aparts actually) Echo Park Best Summer Ever. The big letters on the cookies layout are Doodlebug chipboard. I'm very lucky to have a DH who appreciates my scrapbooking, buys me scrapbooking stuff, and actually does a little scrapbooking of his own (he uses 12x12 papers and albums for his patch collection)

sleepingbootyThat font is the WRMK word punch board- which just arrived Friday in the mail so I *had* to use it. Since I didn’t pick/find a background paper to carry thru the whole book I decided to use the punch for the lighthouse named to sort of tie them all together. I’m sort of loving this word punch board I just wish they would also do one for vertical words now LOL - typical find a great tool but still want more😁

we're leaving around noon to drive DD18 back to school but I'm trying to squeeze a couple of layouts in first. Working on finishing up some early photos of DS27 in the Navy - this one is from March 2016 -sorry my photo of the layout isn't very good.

Two more from last night. I'm not really happy with them. On the Chip and Dale page, I want to find a couple of acorns to place on either side on the name plate. And on the Pluto page, I wish I hadn't put the dots over the O. That's how Pluto's signature reads; he makes the O into a paw print, but it doesn't come across the way I did it. I'll re-do it at some point, but it's fine for now.

2 Your first LO in six years? Are you sure? It looks like you never left the scrap world! Love all the clean lines that match the pattern paper on the right. You have a great eye for grouping photos together and balance. Beautiful, moody double pager. The font for "Tinicum rear range" is simple but striking, by the way. Love both pattern papers you used for 'Finn's Point'. Where are they from? 'East Point' is so classic and elegant. I adore the touching rubber duck anecdote and that you managed to include it in your page. Those papers are from my stash The blue is boy denim from Junkitz & the distressed sail boats is Daisy d

msliz - sorry you're not happy with them - I think they are great - acorns would be a perfect finishing touch for Chip and Dale though. I can see the 'pawprint' in Goofy. another one from March 2016 for me.

@millefeuilles, I always thought a WITL would be better if you did one each quarter as your life changes by season it seems. I've tried doing it several times, but get sidetracked living and not taking pictures. I did buy a whole set of things for last year (my own dates picked) but never completed it. I should pick a week this year and go for it. I was going to ask if you'd finish your WITL pages today, but enjoy your unexpected guests instead. marie, that kit is fabulous for your son's camp photos. I'm loving seeing them. hop2, yay for getting back into scrapbooking. I'm digging your lighthouse pages. So what is this lighthouse challenge? (I have a thing for lighthouses.) Linda, loving those ice cream journaling cards. Of course, I now want thin mint cookies after seeing the Cookies layout (thanks, not because I don't have cookies here). It's so awesome that your kids love their albums. I love the DS navy pages with it's patriotic colors. I love the little enamel dots on the last one making the corner piece. quietgirl, good luck in your family's big life change. I hope at least that it's a good life change. gramma, missed the folsom lake page. That title work cluster is amazing! Love it. I tried talking dh into sheep to keep down the grass in a couple of areas, he tried to talk me into goats. We compromised on pigs but never made it there and now with the 2nd property, we can't get them. oaksong, I love patriotic themed kits/collections. I have a hard time saying no to them. I think 3 pages is a lot, especially if you are a slow scrapper. teacherlisa, that currently obsessed with page has a very modern feel to me and I saw it last night and though I should do something like this. I totally missed that fabulous rhino page and story until this morning. ROFL. That's so funny. I love, love, love the journaling page. You have great colors on the "King of the Grill" and love the pieced grill. @zingermack, I like your title on your I'm Crew page and that stars and stripes paper. Your kindness card is so elegant and beautiful. joyfulnana, I hope dgs slept well and is feeling even better today. He did a fabulous job decorating the cookies. anniefb, another adorable bunny card. So you're cutting those out with the scan and cut and not a coordinating die set? sleepingbooty, I'm jealous of the good night's sleep you took. I was so planning on going to bed early last night. I was just creating away and looked at the clock to find it was already 1 a.m. Yikes. Tonight I shall be in bed early!! I may have to set a timer. I hope you are feeling a bit better. Chinagirl828 & AussieMeg, making memories is just as important as preserving them. Glad you both had a fun day. Oh, kitbop, your sympathy card is absolutely beautiful. But I'm so sorry that you had to make it. dudleypippen, ugh. 6 hours on statistics sounds like no fun to me. But good for you for putting school work first! I hope you will get a bit of time to play later today. KelleeM, adorable pages. that collection is perfect for little boy pages. Love the turtles. msliz, I think you're pages are adorable. As for the acorns, I collect acorn things as DH has a thing about picking them up everywhere and then replanting them or throwing them out on our farm. It has actually worked we have several oaks growing now that weren't here when we bought the place. I just picked out a couple of eyelets, stickers and print and cuts I'd done previously. I'll send them to you this week and you can see if any will work for you.

Funny reading about your DH's collection as one of my DDs has a thing about collecting mini pinecones -I have jars full. I think with the Pluto page, I'm going to keep the bone idea and just add a paw print to either side. And here are two more from this morning deleted to make room
