Sunday afternoon and I finally made it into my craft room. And by finally, I mean it's the first time I've scrapped at home in easily a couple of years. I've kept things just about ticking over by going to my monthly crop, but lately I've been crocheting or cross stitching at that instead of scrapping quite a bit too - my output has probably been not much more than 12-15 pages a year. Partly because I have too much stuff, partly because other things are taking all my creative energy - super into my crocheting still, since I learnt that about 3 years ago - and partly because I got behind on printing photos and holy hell I take too many pics. It is just overwhelming at this point. I spent several hours yesterday choosing and printing photos for one page. Ok, there are 8 of them, but still. Doesn't help that it always feels like such a fight to print custom sizes, such a PITA. Meantime I've been working out of bags ,the room is in a state, I've no idea where most of my favourite things are... All of which to say, although I haven't done much, this was HUGE for me. A big step forward in hopefully reclaiming my room and getting back in there and scrapping at home more often again. I'm not crazy enough to think I'll suddenly be there every spare minute again, but baby steps, right? I started with a bit of UNFINISHED BUSINESS. Added journalling (wonky, ugh!) and dates and a couple of finishing touches to this pair of pages (I didn't start off intending to do a double page, and there is another one to do from the inside of Rosenborg at least, but they will probably sit in the album together): and this From the Sublime to the Grotesque by Jenny, on Flickr Worked out an arrangement for the new photos I printed, sat down to type up some journalling (I usually handwrite, but I think it's going to be too long for that) and of course have been distracted lol, so that may be about it from me for the weekend

So much going on! I have left love on Flickr for those that are shared there. Will go through the rest of the shares later today. Here are the 3 additional double pagers I finished this weekend. These two are pretty basic. I was going to add extras this morning, but ended up just gluing everything down and leaving as is: Suddenly TEEN by Gramma Dee, on Flickr I DID add a rainbow to this one in response to the Make Your Own Paper prompt. Part Unicorn by Gramma Dee, on Flickr And these pages I played with this morning. Got a bit of bling and other elements on these. Foot Art Happy by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

DD wants to go hiking, and I can't say no to her when she's trying so hard to get healthy, and goodness knows I need to get off my butt. When I get back I'll be knee deep in fussy cutting princess shoes. Happy Scrapping! Back in a few hours

I'll try to see as much as possible before I go to bed (will probably post tomorrow if it's still ok sleepingbooty ). LisaDV I think you forgot to hide the little girl's face in the last picture of dKatysBirthday7-8edit layout (since she's always blurred). Love these colourful layouts!

That particular title is a cute file from Miss Kates Cuttables. I love the files she does. And, they are inexpensive. ah, She does do wonderful titles. Linda , love the title font on Simon and the banners and colors on leaving page. msliz , love the title 2 big goofs. Have fun hiking! anniefb , I've heard good things about the scan & cut, but it's good to see it in use. Have a great week. cristinac , absolutely lovely TN, but seeing the polar vortex one there is making me grumble. Still too soon to relive that memory. jennyap , your pages are fantastic. You wouldn't know that you don't do many a year. I think it's awesome that you've created some pages, but I hope you know we are equal opportunity crafters here. You can share any craft you do. @grandmadee, such wonderful pages. I'm loving the rainbow you made. marie , I'm definitely oohing and ahing over your pool and archery layouts. Absolutely perfect colors, papers and embellishments. @millefeuilles , thanks for the heads up. Off to fix it before my niece sees and disowns me. I thought I'd do a few things before scrapping today. Thinking it'd just be a minute and I'd be ready. It's now 3pm and I haven't done any scrapping. I made a list of what I need to take for tomorrow when I leave to go to the new house. Now I'm freaking out because the list keeps growing and is going to be more trouble than I had thought as I've started gathering and packing. I want to leave early and not be dawdling around, because you know it's already been 48 hours without my kids. It's great to have the break, but 48 hours is about my limit. I have a couple more things to grab and another load of laundry to get in. I should get a couple of hours this evening in scrap wise. Definitely not the whole day I had wanted to devote, but I've gotten so many layouts accomplished this weekend that it's still a win for me. And I'm loving grammadee's team challenge of double points for the crop weekend.

LisaDV No problem, I'd wish someone tell me too. Not sure if another girl should be blurred in "dKatysBirthday6edit" but I'd rather tell you in case. grammadee Love your colourful layouts. And the Foot Art Happy layouts. Too funny. jennyap I can't wait to see how it ends up, if you're willing to post.

Unfortunately, I have to go now, much earlier than I thought. Thanks sleepingbooty and all. That was the push I needed to finish my DD from 2015 (first Christmas for my niece, it was important for us). I hope we can crop again. I didn't take any pics of the projects I worked on (yet), but here's a pic of one of my first, recent digi layout. Simple as can be, but I wanted the emphasis on my niece's cute face and her quote.

Wow, everyone has been busy! So many wonderful pages and applause to all the great comments. I am struggling to get more time in my craft room and stay in there! I did finish two double page layouts yesterday and need to get photos taken. DS13yo had a Lego build event last night for 3 hours. It was a contest in three age categories. It was supposed to be all original designs. DS built a plane (no surprise there!). The local HS Robotics team helped run the event, and the local "bricks" store sponsored it. Prizes and a raffle. DS had fun and the entire family went for a little while. The Grandparents and older brother bailed about 1.5 hours in. One of my teachers friend's son won the 10-14 age category. More photos for another layout, and I do have the Quickutz lego die plus some lego themed papers and such. Lots of lego photos here! Now back to the craft table, well after grocery shopping!

Well, I didn't get to this as early as I had hoped and OMG holy cow you guys are amazing! I love seeing all the different styles! I really enjoyed seeing people posting that don't usually join the challenges. I'm heading in to scrap now - finally! linda thank you, those pages were from a scrapbook generation kit - I just follow the directions lol. I do enjoy their kits for getting lots of pictures scrapped. So many awesome pages and I'm so far behind to comment but I loved them all! I'm hoping to get 3 more pages done before the crop is officially over and posted to the challenge board to claim my extra points. Anyone who's ever been on a team with me knows I need all the help I can get sleepingbooty thank you so much for putting this together. It's been so much fun! I hope there will be more of them in the future!

hop2, yay for getting back into scrapbooking. I'm digging your lighthouse pages. So what is this lighthouse challenge? (I have a thing for lighthouses.) @. Yes, the lighthouse society in my state has one weekend where the ‘challenge’ you to visit all of the lighthouses in our state in one weekend. My sister & I did it last year for the first time. It was so much fun. You end up seeing other people thru out the day if they are going in the same direction as you are. If your state has one I definitely advise it. Our states lighthouse society hosts it in conjunction with each individual light houses own friends of group. I think here it will be Oct 19&20 this year but I’m not sure as it’s not up on the challenge page yet but one lighthouse has it listed for then. We are considering doing it the opposite direction this year. Maybe. But I’d take the Monday after off lol

Oh my, my brunch + walk turned into a long day after my mother called and I could tell she was in need of a bit of help and company. Just spent an entire afternoon and evening cleaning, cooking and checking in on her as she was feverish. Got home fifteen minutes ago and thank Cupid my SO took care of cleaning our place and doing the meal prep for the week. Sorry for being absent for so long today! I'll be catching up later tonight or tomorrow morning with everything that has been posted while I was gone! Seems like many of you managed to get some scrapbooking done today.
This thread will remain open and active for anyone finishing up their crop weekend projects a little later on. Don't hesitate to come post your creations in here even after the "official" deadline. grammadee Do you think it would be ok to give the Team Challenge players an extra 24h to photograph, upload and share their crop weekend projects after midnight? I wouldn't want anyone to feel too pressured to do it all tonight. There are double points to get for the teams, after all...
How is everyone? Do we have St. Paddy's celebrations happening for some of our Peas?

If you created it this weekend, it should be worth double points. Also, anyone who has now caught the scrapping bug, once the crop is over you are welcome to come join us on the Challenges board. You don’t need to be a team member to take on the challenges and share your creativity. Thanks for setting up a fun filled weekend, sleepingbooty.

jennyap, that's a beautiful layout even as is. @millefeuilles, Lovely layout. I love using large photos. hop2, I could see another photo or element there giving perfect page balance. I think I could make a challenge to visit every lighthouse in the state, but definitely couldn't do it in 1 day. I live in Michigan. angel97701, I think after that much activity, I'd just call it a day. kate, have fun! I hope you get everything you want completed. joyfulnana, hope you finish all your pages. sleepingbooty, you are such a good daughter. I hope the cats didn't upset you too much today.

@millefeuilles , I always thought a WITL would be better if you did one each quarter as your life changes by season it seems. I've tried doing it several times, but get sidetracked living and not taking pictures. I did buy a whole set of things for last year (my own dates picked) but never completed it. I should pick a week this year and go for it. I was going to ask if you'd finish your WITL pages today, but enjoy your unexpected guests instead. marie , that kit is fabulous for your son's camp photos. I'm loving seeing them. hop2 , yay for getting back into scrapbooking. I'm digging your lighthouse pages. So what is this lighthouse challenge? (I have a thing for lighthouses.) Linda , loving those ice cream journaling cards. Of course, I now want thin mint cookies after seeing the Cookies layout (thanks, not because I don't have cookies here). It's so awesome that your kids love their albums. I love the DS navy pages with it's patriotic colors. I love the little enamel dots on the last one making the corner piece. quietgirl , good luck in your family's big life change. I hope at least that it's a good life change. gramma , missed the folsom lake page. That title work cluster is amazing! Love it. I tried talking dh into sheep to keep down the grass in a couple of areas, he tried to talk me into goats. We compromised on pigs but never made it there and now with the 2nd property, we can't get them. oaksong , I love patriotic themed kits/collections. I have a hard time saying no to them. I think 3 pages is a lot, especially if you are a slow scrapper. teacherlisa , that currently obsessed with page has a very modern feel to me and I saw it last night and though I should do something like this. I totally missed that fabulous rhino page and story until this morning. ROFL. That's so funny. I love, love, love the journaling page. You have great colors on the "King of the Grill" and love the pieced grill. @zingermack , I like your title on your I'm Crew page and that stars and stripes paper. Your kindness card is so elegant and beautiful. joyfulnana , I hope dgs slept well and is feeling even better today. He did a fabulous job decorating the cookies. anniefb , another adorable bunny card. So you're cutting those out with the scan and cut and not a coordinating die set? sleepingbooty , I'm jealous of the good night's sleep you took. I was so planning on going to bed early last night. I was just creating away and looked at the clock to find it was already 1 a.m. Yikes. Tonight I shall be in bed early!! I may have to set a timer. I hope you are feeling a bit better. Chinagirl828 & AussieMeg , making memories is just as important as preserving them. Glad you both had a fun day. Oh, kitbop , your sympathy card is absolutely beautiful. But I'm so sorry that you had to make it. dudleypippen , ugh. 6 hours on statistics sounds like no fun to me. But good for you for putting school work first! I hope you will get a bit of time to play later today. KelleeM , adorable pages. that collection is perfect for little boy pages. Love the turtles. msliz , I think you're pages are adorable. As for the acorns, I collect acorn things as DH has a thing about picking them up everywhere and then replanting them or throwing them out on our farm. It has actually worked we have several oaks growing now that weren't here when we bought the place. I just picked out a couple of eyelets, stickers and print and cuts I'd done previously. I'll send them to you this week and you can see if any will work for you. thank you, LisaDV it is. Just kids growing up, starting their own lives, which is magical and marvelous and wonderful in so many ways. Just leaves me wishing my babies back, but only for a bit.

Everyone's layouts are so amazing and beautiful. Thank you all for the lovely inspiration and the conversation. It was wonderful. I didn't get as much done as I thought I would. My boys left to go back to school this morning. They go to Pitt, we live near Philadelphia. I then had a long talk with a friend who needed it, and after that the day slipped by. Though my watercolor painting is almost finished!

Leaving some more love for everything you ladies posted throughout the day.
kitbop That is a beautiful sympathy card. The mushrooms are an unusual choice but they work great. This creation of yours will bring some comfort to its recipient and I'm sure they will feel the love you poured into making it. dudleypippen I'm sure we will all rally to make another crop happen later this year. I hope the statistics weren't too much of a headache and you are now able to relax a little with your pretty papers. joblackford Congrats on getting so much done just before your big trip! Glad to hear you've figured out your camera a little more. If you have a public library near you, you should check out the Fundamentals of Photography by Tom Ang. It's your basic go-to photography book that reviews everything you need to know (including for analog). It's just a good basic overview of everything photography from colour recording to lens formulae and raw processing. Definitely worth a look at. Sending you ALL the good travel vibes! Think of us when in Japan. And if you go by one of those gachapon places, think of me (my oh my, one of the rare places that make me lose my mind ). Have loads of fun and report back when you return. hop2 Well, that WRMK word punch board is turning out great! KelleeM ERMAHGERD, LOOK AT THAT CUTE FACE! That is one super expressive baby. I just want to squish those squishy cheeks... (sorry, I can't focus on the adorable scrapbooking full of even more adorable critters with that cutie patootie) Linda Love the navy LO, it's so classy. The offside photo cutting through the border is wonderfully placed. 'A-School Graduation' is so well balanced with the darker papers underneath the light photos. That distressed star trip feels just right. 'Simon' has such a great play on shapes with the circles mimicking the rounded top part of his cover (per Google because I had to search what they called the hat/cap of a US navy uniform ). Such great flow on 'Around The World' with that bias cut for the plane pattern paper. msliz Look, your unhappiness about Pluto's paw effect can only mean on thing: to rectify this, you must go to a Disney park and get it fixed by the dog himself. I know, it's radical but it's the only certain way to get this right... (I think they both look great and the Chip 'n Dale seems pretty perfect to me!) '2 Big Silly Goofs' is so well done in terms of pattern choices: love how you mirrored the dot pattern paper with the row of Nuvo (?) dots. The multiple mats for the main photo work so well and do a great job elevating it. Also, amazing colour matching! LisaDV Ha, that final bit of cold just doesn't want to leave. I've had it for several weeks now. Ugh, it'll leave. Eventually. I hope you finally get the good, long night of rest you need (and deserve after this weekend). Mr Sandman, bring her a dream... (bung, bung, bung, bung) Katy's birthday pages are so much fun! '3edit' has the most adorable and playful banner with all those different embellishments. Absolutely adore the solid colour graphic elements: large dots, lemon and flower petals. All those lemon goodies on '4edit' are making my lemon-loving heart swoon. Love the gold effect on the lemon outline: it reflects (ha!) the gold ribbon on the lemonade stand perfectly and adds just that little bit of bling to make the central part of the page pop. '6edit' is so whimsical with all the different shapes coming together: dots, triangular bunting, hearts and stars. I adore the stitching to attach the banner paper strips together! Gah, how cute is Katy playing postal worker in 'Mail Time'? What a wonderful gift idea, by the way. I love that she's taking over the paper reign in the family by handing out cards. I love that you mimicked the interior with soft main colours and brighter shades just for some accents. That gold glitter paint stroke is top notch! The tipped squares with mosaic effect and photo placement of 'Beautiful G' is absolutely awesome. I'm drooling over here. Honourable mention the turquoise ikat pattern paper. Your 'Ruby' page is 100% lift-worthy. Love your "burst from photo" effect with all the different elements and techniques (splatter, stencil, paint strokes and marker). Simply gorgeous and so captivating for the eye. cristinac Such a fresh, bright and cheerful TN page! I love that you used those hoarded floral stickers: they work great on this page. Is that some Everyday Explorers I'm seeing on your page? And what a cute little snowman...
jennyap Congratulations on getting some scrapbooking done in your scrap room! It was totally worth the hassle and effort: your pages turned out beautifully. Great energy and flow on your castle-themed double page. The black pattern paper really makes the diagonal positioning pop and those alpha Thickers are a perfect match for the photos and size. The sublime versus grotesque contrast page made me laugh. Old architecture does have its quirks! I love that you did a page about this thematic and I'm definitely putting in a sticky note for myself (I have some Disneyland castle photos of stained glass and animal sculptures that need scrapping!).
I'm absolutely knackered and my eyes are shutting down every fifteen or so seconds at this stage. Midnight is about to sound (will my laptop turn into a pumpkin?). Definitely bedtime for me. I'm going to make a few final decisions on pattern paper placement for the last crop LO I was working on and then hit the switch. It's been a long (but oh so fun) weekend... I'll be back tomorrow morning to reply to everyone I didn't get around to yet, pinky swear.
Again, from the bottom of my scrappy heart, thanks to everyone for joining in, getting creative and being so cheerful and chatty in here! It's been so much fun. This crop would've been a total flop without you all! *blows kisses all around*
Night night, fellow Peas!

I am home from work/gym, and ready to scrap for a few hours - I will need to photograph/upload tomorrow, so thanks for that extension sleepingbooty! Even tho I was barely here, I found this a great "push" - on a weekend where I would normally get NOTHING done, I will have completed 4 pages and 1 card (short of my goal. But still.) I kinda wish we could do it more often, but it becomes LESS motivating if you do it TOO often. It has to be "special" to have this effect! I've been reading and enjoying everyone's little updates and stories, and loving the posted projects, but don't have time to comment if I want to scrap Thanks for the sharing everyone!

I finished five layouts this weekend, more than my usual two or three on a weekend, so yay! Thanks for the inspiration. Pictures are horrible. I will scan next week. Here is the layout with a photo of me. Layout using green. Reformat layout; I used a pocket page card on a 12 x 12. Giving and receiving. Finish it up.
