I don't think an actual thread has been started. Remember, only spoilers AFTER the show has aired unless you use the spoiler icon. I just realized that Eric, the firefighter, is from the town where my son lives. He ticked me off in the premiere because he wants to get Joe out. And Joe, whoever told you growing a mustache was a good idea is trying to ruin your good looks.

I looked last week for a minute and then promptly forgot all about it.

Thanks for starting the thread. I still love Survivor!!
I hope Wendy doesn't get a quick boot this week because of being caught up in the REEM fiasco. Good lord that woman was clueless on several levels. I wish the premier had been much longer so we could have gotten a feel for how people are in the first few days. Most people take a while to level out and it is interesting to see some of the early freak outs and satisfying to see a favorite player even out and successfully play the game.
ETA: may not be a popular opinion but I'm rooting for Aubrey.

We love Aubrey too. She should have won her first season.

So Keith was voted out but we don't know if he is going to the Edge of Extinction or home. I would be bored out of my mind on the Edge. Hope the season gets better, so far it's kind of boring.
Keith should have been spending his time in the water learning to swim better.

I am only half-heartedly watching this season. Same last season. I have lost my heart for Survivor. But it is a habit that DH likes to keep as something to be done on Wednesday night after choir practice.
The Extinction Island thing - does anyone think this is a way to make a third tribe. You have to think that most of the first ones voted off think they got booted too early and they have to want another chance. So by gathering enough for another tribe, they get re-introduced to the game a few weeks down the road.

But if they continue to vote off the weakest players, the new tribe won't have much of a chance. Regardless of how it plays out, I'm not a fan so far.

They came pretty close (or so we are to believe) the Wentworth was almost voted off. THAT would have been interesting-Wentworth and Reem on the island! Wanna bet the producers were excited about that possibility? It was obvious which tribe was going to lose. We hardly saw anything of the other tribe! And Aubrey better step up her game. She is being WAY too obvious!

Some of them could be just voted off because they are unliked. Now, last night, it was all on Keith due to his weak swimming. But he could have some other pluses we are not aware of at this point of the game. Reem, hmmm, no so sure.

If Keith was that conflicted about whether to stay or go, he should go. Reem didn’t even hesitate. I was really hoping to see wentworth gone but who cares. She would have stayed anyway.

So do we know the "rules" of Edge of Extinction Island" ? Here's what I've read. People choose to go to the Edge of Extinction and they just stay there. Around the merge there's a challenge or something and they can get back into the game if they win. No idea how many winners there can be. Probably 1 but this is new so who really knows. If they lose they stay on the Edge of Extinction or can choose to go home. Around day 35 there's another challenge and remaining EOE people can get back into the game if they win that one. Players who choose the EOE after the merge are jury members no matter what.

For me, the big issue would be being alone out there for a month. There's obviously a camera person there, but I doubt they are allowed to interact much. Why would Keith have hesitated? Do you suppose that was just the editing. Or trying to figure it all out, since they didn't know it was coming. I'd have probably stayed, but would have stood there trying to figure out what was going on. Ah, who am I kidding. I think staying in a motel is roughing it. I'd never be there in the first place!

i have no cable so haven't watched much of last two seasons at all. i am thrilled to be back watching!!
i like keith. he knew he was a weak swimmer so worked on it and was practicing with reen and wendy. just wasn't enough unfortunately.
i like wendy and how strong she is in her loyalty. david (i think) said it or the morning anchor guy maybe, that kinda loyalty might be good to keep around.
don't care for aubrey... she should be on the apprentice. hard to get to know many of the new characters so far with limited screen time.
i agree that a 2 hr premiere would allow us to see the players and have actual opinions on them earlier.

I'm still a faithful watcher.. so far I don't think it is that bad of a season.. this new thing though has me guessing. I also thought they were going to form a 3rd tribe.. BUT if Survivors decide to leave that really couldn't happen.
On Keith I was thinking there was some editing that made him look like he was there for awhile... (maybe not??)...
Joe.. wish you would get rid of that mustache.. yuck. He is still such a great player.

It sounded like he was asking God to give him advice/direction/a sign? I kept hearing the word God as the credits rolled.

Of the returning players I think David has the best chance of making it to the end. Heck, his team mates are talking in front of him about taking out the other returning players. I love Aubrey, but think she is digging herself into a big hole using the same lines on all her team mates to draw them in and just get the feeling she won't survive without an idol. I hope Keith heads to Edge of Extinction. I'm not really a fan of this idea yet and thanks for the insight gale w. It would be wild to see a jury made up of Edge of Extinction tribe members, with those still in the game knowing that one will be coming back. I will miss the Ponderosa clips.

For the first time ever Jeff Probst kind of annoyed me. It could of been editing but he seemed overly leading at tribal last night.

They need to know how to swim and how to make fire with a flint, IMO, especially since they come in knowing there is a fire making challenge at Final 4. I think this may be the first season where they knew before coming out that the fire making would be a thing.
Joe will look better when his beard grows out a little more. Maybe he thought he looked less intimidating with the 'stash.
Keith may have been shell-shocked enough from being voted out that he wasn't thinking clearly. I can't imagine any player who actually wanted to play not going to check out their option for getting back into the game. I think Reem has it worse than any after her - after more people leave, there will be a little community established. They'll get fire going, figure out some food, find things to do (like teach Keith how to swim and Reem to make a fire).

So Chris got voted out and headed to the Edge of Extinction. He was ticked! I hope he gets back in the game because he seemed like a nice guy. There were several members of Joe and Aubrey's tribe that I swear I have never seen before. If I were on Wendy's tribe I would want to ring HER neck for taking the flint, then the chickens. So next week they merge into 3 tribes. I hate when they do that.

Shaking my head at poor Chris. They told you not to talk to WD because he was too close to Kelly. Of course Kelly was going to turn around and target you. I was impressed that David backed off of targeting Kelly once he knew Chris blew it. I can't believe Wendie got away with stealing the flint. I loved Aubry finding the HII. Laughed at Victoria (I think that is her name) talking about Joe & Aubry being a pair and on the bottom, completely clueless than Joe was behind her. Reem made me crazy complaining about having to get rice everyday. Seriously, what the heck do you have to do all day that makes it so hard to find the time to get the rice. I'd be happy to have a task.
