This idea popped into my head on another thread because I was answering the question and went, "Um...do I really want to share that?" But the first step to fixing your problem is to admitting you have one, right? So, here goes... I am actually embarrassed by the amount of stickers I own. When I got a job in college it was like a lightbulb went off in my head that said, "Hey! You're an adult! You earned your own paycheck, and that means no one can tell you how to spend it." I was a sticker freak when I was younger, so I started buying stickers. Not like crazy, but when you don't use them, they tend to add up over the course of ten or so years...to bins. That's right, I have to store my stickers in BINS. You know, the big 9 liter ones from Office Depot. They're organized, but dang it, I have like 5 bins with stickers. WHY CAN'T I STOP? Well, you know, the stuff can't possibly match the new paper that's coming out... I have a stack of paper that is taller than me (I'm 5'6 1/2" and I have to reach up to get to the top of it--most of them are in bins, but it's a mixture of pads and single sheets), in addition to a couple of stacks UNDER a chair, then I ran out of room and had to put it on ON a chair. I...I...it's a sickness. I have no excuse. So, please tell me there are other people out there who are rightly ashamed of at least ONE crafty thing you've hoarded so bad you're embarrassed to tell anyone about it...

I understand the sticker thing.. I have always loved stickers from who knows when (I wish I had my collection from grade school!!) anyways, it's probably all the ribbon I have bought over the last few years.. when the ribbon craze started till about a year ago. I still find myself looking at ribbon but I will stop and not buy it either. I have two HUGE boxes full of ribbon. I love sharing it with my kid and friends!

I am embarrassed to say I have about 5 feet of paper. I can't stop buying pretty cardstock and papers.

I am embarrassed about paper. I have stacks and bins and piles and boxes, and totes, and bags of paper. Really great paper.

I save everything, even the old CM stuff and Mrs Grossmans stickers I started with. I have started sharing some of my old stuff with my 10 year old daughter, but I worry about giving away something I might need later. It's a sickness I tell ya.

Probably ribbon. I haven't bought any in a long time but heaven knows I really don't NEED any more! I have an island I made out of 16 CIS cubes. One WHOLE SIDE (as in, 8 full cubes!) is full of bins and bins of ribbon. It's a disease. Patterned paper would be a close second. I have more of that than ribbon, but my excuse is that I use it for work and buy it in bulk, then when I'm done with a design I don't purge the leftover paper quickly enough.

Hmmmm....where to start...paper all shape sizes and pads.... moving quickly to stamps....followed closely by dies... and of course who can live without every type and color of ink......I refuse to count little bitty embellies like buttons, brads, and enamel dots cuz they don't take up much space.. There that's my story and I'm sticking to it......oops -forgot it's sort of a mystery so the story has twists, turns, and who know how it will end up!!!!! LOL!!

The center cardboard from paper towel rolls. I hoarded them awhile back because you can cut them in half and make mini albums with them.

Hoarding? ? It's called: Planning for the future! Get it straight! That's it...I'm saving for retirement. Which is about 35 years away at minimum for me, but that's my excuse from here on out! (I don't even want to think about how many stickers and how high my stack of paper will be by then!)

I need to do an embellishment purge. Stickers, Enamel Dots, Gems, Sequins, wood veneers... I wouldn't say that I am embarrassed but I do need to go though and get rid of the embellishments I am not using, particularly because I have 2 bins of embellishments that I never even look at (most old, many themed). It's "Use em, or lose em" time.

all of the above...and there will never be a purge. I don't really care if I am mixing 1998 paper with 2010 embellishments and 2014 pictures. I live for variety!!!!!

You flatten the cardboard out (a iron on dry heat works well to make it real flat) then ends stay open for you to insert tags. Example pic below. Attachments:

There's no one thing that I hoard in particular, but my compulsion is to 'have them all'.
To elaborate: I have every color marker Zig makes - both writers & brush markers. Slice has a cute little book to store the design cards in. I will not rest until I have filled the book. When I was scrapping 8.5x11, I went to a website (gonescrappin) and ordered one package of every color cardstock they offered. I've been able to stop myself w/Bazzill, but I'm thinking about it. While I don't have them all, I am slowly collecting TH Distress Inks & Adirondack alcohol inks. I rarely use them. I just like the idea of having them all. Get the idea?

My first thought was paper, but I'm not embarrassed about how much paper I have. Just slightly overwhelmed by it. Very different. I am embarrassed by how much ribbon I have, though. I'm constantly trying to find ways to use it up that do not involve scrapping. I cringe a little when I look through my albums and my ribbon phase shows itself. When my kids are working on anything even remotely crafty I always pipe up with, "Do you need any ribbon?"

I just reorganized my paper, and stacked floor to ceiling, my 6'6 DS couldn't see over the top of it. I have over 100 untouched packages of Thickers, and at least that many stamps that have no idea what ink is. I'll just stop there.

Paper. And stamps. I have so many unused stamps. I've never purged so I have some pretty old stuff.

I should be embarrassed by my washi collection, but I'm not. I once dumped them all into gallon plastic bags for a crop and it took two to hold my collection. Folks were ribbing me about it all weekend.

I am currently hoarding PL kits. I have almost every kit (2 of some!!). I was always addicted to journaling cards/tags so the PL kits are really feeding that addiction. I used to hoard... paper, ribbon, washi tape, sizzix dies.... the list goes on!
So I guess I am planning for the future.... if ever there is a shortage of journaling cards, I will be totally prepared!
