--thinking of funny shows we/I have seen.
Steve Martin-back in the 1980s when his King Tut skit was so popular.
Ellen DeGeneres -when she was doing stand up. We had seen her on Johnny Carson so went to the live show. It was before she came out, but I guess the gay community knew 'cause we noticed that most of the audience seemed to be lesbian couples.
Paula Poundstone- We had seen her on Carson. It is amazing how she can work the audience. I saw her a second time when she was the entertainment at a librarian convention.
Jay Leno - before he got the gig for the night show, but had been on the show many times.
Jerry Seinfield-- right after the series ended and he was getting back into stand up.
A very funny show that was about women and men's perspective on things (Cave man??)
Steve Martin and Martin Short's act that is making the clubs now. (saw it last October)
ETA: saw George Carlin also (at a dinner theater)
I guess I like to laugh. My list of music performances is much shorter.

We saw the Blue Collar Comedy tour with Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy and Bill Engvall a few years ago. We enjoyed it. We definitely see more musical acts and live theatre than comedy shows.

The only ones I can name are Sebastian Maniscalco and Adam Ferrara. There are others but I don't remember their names.

That is quite a list! I don’t enjoy stand-up much and have on,y been to one ages ago. Jeff Foxworthy with some friends in college. I’m also more of a theater/concert goer.

We saw Jim Carrey at the Comedy Store in Hollywood when he was first starting out. I never laughed so hard in my life! Like I was hysterical and might not be able to stop. His physical comedy was something else. I can still start laughing just thinking about how he was whipping himself around the stage.
We were also fortunate to see Trevor Noah a few years ago at the Ice House in Pasadena, maybe his first US tour. It was very obvious he was going to be a star!
Lots more but those are the big ones that come to mind.

We have also seen unknown comedians at the Improv at Harrah's in Las Vegas. It was great.

More than I can count. We have a wonderful comedy club in our town and my family would go about once a month - we saw lots of acts before they became famous Jeff Foxworthy Steven Wright George Wallace Penn & Teller Tim Allen Ron White Larry the Cable Guy Ray Ramano Dom Irerra Jeff Dunham
Ellen Degeneres We saw Ellen a couple of times outside of that club after she became more well known Also outside of the club, in larger venues...we saw Rosanne (with Louie Anderson) Kathy Griffin Robin Williams Paula Poundstone Eddie Murphy Weird Al Carol Burnett
Our family was always big supporters of the comedy circut.

Harry Anderson: I was still in high school, I can’t even remember how I got tickets, but he was really good.
I walked out of 2 other shows, just about 10 minutes in. I am just not a funny person!

The only big one I can think of is Carrot Top in Vegas. SO DANG FUNNY!! Otherwise it's just been unknowns in comedy clubs.
I'm jealous of some of the big names you guys have seen like Jim Carrey, Joan Rivers, Eddie Murphy and Robin Williams.

I can't remember who all I've seen. Wanda Sykes is the only one that comes to mind. She was hilarious!
On a side note, I just started listening to the Comedy Central station on the radio and they play entire comedy show as opposed to the snippets they play on the other stations. A comedian came on that I have never heard of (Dan St Germain). He had me laughing so hard, that I had to pull my car over!

Have not been to a comedy show for many many years.
Saw George Carlin And the SNL original group on tour - Dan, John, Chevy etc. Hmmmm, trying to remember exactly who was and wasn’t part of the tour...

We go to musical performances far more than comedy ones. The only comedian I can think of that we've seen recently was John Oliver. He was really good and his standup show is not at all like his show.

I saw Bob Hope perform in college- 1980 or 81. I lived in the Clemson House, which also had a penthouse, where he was staying. The elevator opened on my floor and there he was standing in the back surrounded by bodyguards in the front. Needless to say, I had to wait on the next elevator!

We've not seen too many but did see The Mommies before they had a TV show. Our school had a fundraiser featuring them after a few of us saw them at a local comedy club. Raised a ton of money and NBC had some bigwigs there to see them and eventually created the show based on them. I thought the show wasn't very good. They were much better at stand-up.

Dane Cook Adam Carolla Piff the Magic Dragon
Many, many Second City casts, including Steve Carrell, Rachel Dratch, and more!
If you're into standup, check out the series on Netflix "Inside Jokes," about comedians auditioning for the Montreal Comedy Festival New Faces show. It's really good, and now I want to go to Montreal for this festival next summer!

I don't like going to shows but I have seen Jerry Seinfeld a few years after his show ended and Joel McHale right after he was done with Talk Soup and on Community. Both were very funny.
I missed Chris Rock, which was very disappointing.

Not very many..
Tim Hawkins.. I think I cried of laughter the entire time. His Chick-Fil-A skit is awesome.
George Lopez.. 'member 'member (I think that was his thing before he was really famous)
Local stuff in Vegas.. I don't know their names or if they even because famous later.
My own personal friend who is a Christian comedian mostly in the South. She does a few cruises with more famous gals. (Think of Women of Faith, comedy style..lol) I doubt anyone has heard of her, Kay Dekalb Smith. And if you have let me know!!
