I really like Christian. He was really telling the designers the good and bad. Plus he's an actual designer. While i love Tim, is he a designer? he's a stylist, correct? And I've never really liked Heidi. She seems so fake, and sort of removed from reality. I feel like Tim's approach was more like a mentor (making them think about their choices) and Christian's approach is more like a coach (more concrete direction/opinions). I like both of them. The change up with Christian has been nice. I like that they show him being more involved (Tim could have been but we never saw it). I'm enjoying this season.

While i love Tim, is he a designer? he's a stylist, correct? No he's not a designer, nor is he a stylist. He worked at Parson's as the Dean of the fashion school and then took over as Chair. So I guess fashion design teacher would be an appropriate way to describe him. His main career was to mentor fashion designers and develop the curriculum at the fashion school. I'll probably stick out this season, but I don't like any of it really. Dapper Dan had me completely hating him at the mention of using fur as a luxury material. That female judge looked like a reject from the 80s...how can someone who dresses like that judge fashion? Christian's voice is really annoying. I don't doubt that he has talent but I don't think he has the personality (or voice) for TV. His snippets and insights were funny as a contestant but a little of him goes a long way. As I said last week, they are obviously trying to attract a younger audience, and it feels young and cheap to me, so it will be my last season I think (unless they shake it up again and change hosts/judges/mentor for the next one).

Really liked this challenge too!! I like that they are really doing interesting challenges this yr, instead of every other one a repurpose/trash one, or group one.

I agreed with who went home. I didn't agree with the winner. I thought both of the other top 3 were better.

What are these judges on, seriously. I've liked a couple things that Hester has made but this was ridiculous. At first I thought they were joking when they were raving over it. Plus, I think she is getting full of herself.
Well, this season is okay so far. I like Christian but don't think he gets enough air time. Does he get a Tim Gunn save this season? I like the new man judge better than I liked Zac Posen but Michael Kors was my favorite. It would be cool if Tim came back and did a show with Christian - would love to see them double team the contestants.
Overall, I think this group of contestants is relatively boring (not much drama) but I did enjoy this challenge. Heidi was fake but I kind of miss her and Carlie seems sweet enough but she has some big shoes to fill!

Heidi was fake but I kind of miss her and Carlie seems sweet enough but she has some big shoes to fill! They talked about this on one of the fashion blogs. they said, the show seems boring, but that's what happens when you have talented, dedicated, and stable designers. They said it goes back to the designs, and sewing, and the process. That we really haven't gotten to know them really well yet, because of the decreased drama also. which is all good.

I think they liked Hester’s concept better than Tessa’s, and along with the clear panels and other details Hester just won out. To Hester it wasn’t a costume at all, it’s something she would totally wear herself. I think the judges are just appreciating her for herself. Anyone else making that same design would have been called costume for sure.
Tessa’s was unique in her own way, but they said some of her finishing wasn’t the best, which I think was her only downfall. She was pissed though, you could tell. She thinks she’s the best, and can’t accept other people are fun and different than her.
Totally agree with who went home finally!

I do not get the Hester love. Her personal style is awful. Either one of the bottom 2 could have gone home to me.
I made it to Tessa's store Wednesday-Idlewild Woman. It's in an up & coming neighborhood but my daughter said do not go down the side streets. It was really expensive for even that neighborhood. there wasn't much of Tessa's that I saw. She sells other designers too. She was not there.

WOW...did not see that winner!! I feel Tessa should have won! I agree. I honestly thought Hester shouldn't have even been in the top three. I liked the menswear looking design better. The other two were better and I loved Tessa’s. I understand why some of the judges were put off by the dominatrix theme of the one designer, but the design itself was beautiful. i was good with who went home. Now for this week, I was disappointed in who went home. I thought her dress was beautiful. Although I’m not sure who should have went home. Oh Hester! I admire her going out on a limb since she had immunity, but yikes. The rest of the dress was actually beautiful and the pasty idea (though not my thing) could have worked but was poorly executed. Those weird little puckered tiny tents were just not good, nor were they flattering. i really liked the plaid dress (great mentoring Christian!), but I thought the black and white dress should have won. It was beautiful. I almost felt like they gave it to him as sort of a pat on the back for not making another crappy design. i have to say, the one male judge I really like. His reactions are great, no poker face from him! I also think Karlie is doing a really good job hosting. I think I’m enjoying this season more than most. I’m loving it. Oh, and the whole plus-sized model comment from Tessa. I go back and forth at how I feel about Tessa, sometimes I like her and sometimes she annoys the hell out of me. Having said that, I actually felt sympathy over the plus-sized thing. All the designers clearly felt that way, otherwise the two plus-sized models would have been picked earlier, but they weren’t; they were left as dead last by everyone. She was just saying what the others clearly felt. I’ve seen some designers be really bitchy and nasty about model size, often right in front of the models, but I didn’t think that was what she did. There ARE challenges with the curvier models. The tall rail thin models are like beautiful coat hangers. You can put pretty much anything on them. It’s just an added challenge having a curvier model. I hope they don’t hold that comment against her.

I guess I was underwhelmed last night. It was an elegant classy challenge, but everything seemed sort of...cheap? Hester's...yikes. That looked super cheap. I thought the dress that went home was perfectly fine!! yea, it was sort of boring, but it looked well made.

No it is super expensive. I only saw 1 thing with her label and my daughter & I couldn’t decide what it was. Maybe a headband. All the pants were very wide legged- so much so when you picked them up they seemed like they could be a long skirt. Boxy crop tops. My dd was shocked that the jewelry was just laying out for anyone to easily take. Last night was ok. I didn’t love anyone’s look. The one that went home was bland but well made. This kind of clothing is her specialty so I expected better from her. Tessa was getting hammered on Bravo’s Twitter. She tried to defend herself for a while. I haven’t looked today.

The first thing I noticed was how all the tall, thin models were picked first. That must make the curvier models feel like crap. I really disliked how Jamal made it looked like his dress was all his idea. NO...it was Christian's. If Christian had not told him to play with the fabric on the dress form, he would have sent another pant suit down the runway. He could have at least given Christian some credit for the dress. Hester's look was 50/50. The top part was awful but the bottom part of the dress was beautiful. It was a tough call as to who should have gone home. Sonia had no chance of winning Project Runway. She would have gone home one week or another anyway.

To be fair, I think they should cycle the models through the designers on a rotating schedule. That said, the guy with the curvy model made a gorgeous dress for her, so pretty.
There should have been an overturn of the immunity for Hester. That would have been well deserved - is she that good, she seems to have a holier than thou attitude.
Brandon and Christian are the best things about this reboot.

Elton John challenge. Hester?? WTH? that was sooo bad. I like that they did male models!! designers need to know how to design more then women's dresses.

I think just because they liked his better than the other 3 they hated.
I'm sick of Tess and all her complaints - it's time for her to go!
I loved the top 2 - they did a great job. I could see Elton John wearing both of them, and I loved that the designer guy from the movie said he wished he could put those outfits in the movie. What a great tribute to those 2 designers!
I think Hester is about to be out of her league soon. I don't know why the judges like her so much.

Tess and Hester needs to go. They are the exact opposite of each other but both ridiculous in their own way. Sonja needs to stay gone, hope she doesn't make it back to "help" again. I loved the top 2.

Hester's turkey outfit should have been bottom 3 but she had immunity so it would have been a waste of a bottom 3 spot.

How was Jamal in the top 3?😲 There was no way I could see Elton John wearing that. I thought Sebastian should have been in the top 3 along with Garo and Bishme. I loved the guest judge saying he could see using both their looks in the movie. I felt bad for Lela with the ironing mishap and flinging the feather boa around the neck threw off her look. I'm not sure it was worse the Venny's and it definitely wasn't worse than Hester's (I wish they had made her go through the bottom 3 critique even though she had immunity).

I hate Tessa. She reminds me of Gretchen. Full of excuses...
Sonja was a total bitch to Garo...
Holy crap! I loved Garo and Bishme...I also loved Jamal's..that was totally Elton..maybe not how he sewed it but definitely the colours and the styling.
Tessa's outfit was butt ugly, Lela's was badly sewn and garish. Venny's was a great concept but not executed well.
I'm loving Christian as mentor..he makes me smile, Not loving Carlie Kloss but I do like Brandon.

He was with Lady Gaga at the Met Gala entrance. It was quite something. His little plastic see thru bags were also there.

He is not credited with the design. Just curious.

I really like how we can hear the judges commenting on the designs as they are coming down the runway. I don't remember it being that way with the old Project Runway.
Both Garo and Bishme's designs were Elton John worthy. I thought Jamal's was hideous and could not imagine Elton John wearing that. I don't get the love for Hester. She's all over the place. One week at the top, one week at the bottom. I find her stuff bordering on tacky. I wonder what will happen now that she can't get immunity any more.

They had that one crazy trash can stylist for like 3 shows.
