I'm glad Hester and Tessa were the bottom 2 and would have been fine to see a double elimination. I think the top 3 are absolutely the best 3 designers this season. Sebastian is my favorite, but I'd be happy to see any of them win. I don't remember the judges looking at all the designers work in past seasons and liked the review. It really made me wonder why Hester was still in it.

I agree that there should only have been a top 3. My pick would be; Sebastian, Garo, and Bisme. I can't wait to see their collections but, that means that the season is over already

How did you guys feel about Nina's challenges?

I agree with the final 3. Bishme just blew up. That dress was hideous!

It broke my heart to watch Bishme, he was such a likeable fellow and I loved his interactions with the other designers (especially Sebastian) Hope his sister is doing well and he can regroup and get back to designing to his full potential.

Getting down to the wire. How did you guys feel about Nina's challenges? I liked her challenge. Both Sebastian and Hester excelled at it and made something that really flowed with what we have seen of their collection IMHO. Hester's could have been a major fail if Christian hadn't pushed her to buy the red material. Garo's suit was awful. I hated the color and schlumpy way it fit the model. More time could have helped the fit, but the color looked so out of place with the other pieces he included. It will be interesting to see how/if he can fix it before next week. I did love his sequin dress with the leather collar. It was gorgeous! I wanted to cry for Bishme and admire the class he showed at getting cut. His mind and heart were somewhere else and I wouldn't be surprised to see him get invited back. From what we saw of the collections, Sebastian better win.

I agree with the final 3. Bishme just blew up. That dress was hideous! You could tell his heart wasn't in it anymore when Christian went to visit him, and he could not pull it off at the last minute either. His dress looked awful. Garo's suit wasn't much better but I'm glad he was chosen to show his designs at fashion week. I really like him. He seems like a nice person. I loved what Sebastian sent down the runway. He's been my favorite from the get go. His looks are beautifully made, and really classy. I hope he wins. I was surprised at how much I liked what Hester had made so far in her studio. She is really creative. I can see the judges giving her high praises for that.

I liked Nina's challenge, it was well thought out and was definitely achievable, It was interesting that they all struggled with it though, and that only one of then was successful. Didn't like Christian's home visits at all, none of the charm of Tim, didn't meet any family and all he said was every space was "amazing" We didn't get to see the designers through the eyes of the nearest & dearest. There really was no point in doing this at all. Bishme had nothing done, it's obvious he's a procrastinator who can't stick to a time line. All that other stuff was just an excuse. I totally expected him to be out based on the home visit alone.
But OMG I hate Hester so much! Drama queen who really is too big for her bossy boots. She thinks she is so innovative but everything is just kitschy & tizzy and ugly, THAT's why no-one else is making anything like it. Her house...I felt claustrophobic & panic-y just looking at it. All her outfits are hideous and she's guaranteed to be another Michelle, whose "fashion career" exists solely inside Project Runway TV land because no-one in the real world wants to wear what they create.
I was floored when they suggested Garo might not have any buyers for his designs...just after they put Hester kitch fest though...WTF? To quote Tim Gunn "the judges must be smoking crack"
Surely Sebastian has to be the only possible winner?

I totally agree with you on Christian's home visits. I wish he had been more personable, etc. But I wonder if they are trying to get him away from being a Tim clone? ya know? so they left out all the stuff Tim usually does. Have you noticed at Mood they never show Swatch either?
I like Hester, and I think she definitely has a client nitch!! There are a lot of geeky, artsy girls out there, ala modcloth, etc. I wouldn't count her out.
That suit of Garo's??!!! WTH? where in the world did that color even come from? it didn't go with anything. If he had at least pulled in a coordinating color it might have worked.

That suit of Garo's??!!! WTH? Yes, I didn't like his suit either, but it was still a lot better than those weird pointy, tie-on circles that Hester passed off as a "top"
She's so lucky her model had no boobs at all, if she had one of the busty models it would have been a disaster.
I'm definitely counting her out as a serious fashion designer and unless her stuff is dirt cheap those "arty" girls who might wear it, probably couldn't afford it. And if they can afford designer fashion, they'd go with someone who actually does this sort of thing properly like Betsy Johnson.
Didn't you hear Michelle say that she can't making a living out of making clothes and she's broke? That'll be Hester too. They have the same type of personality where they think everything they do is so awesome and they can't look at their own work critically, nor can they take the advice or constructive criticism of others. Sure stick to your "design aesthetic" if you want to sew as a nice little hobby and you have a real job that brings in a pack packet. But if you want to be a fashion designer you better take other people's opinions on board. Hester bitched the whole time about what Nina asked her to do & Nina commented that she was the most argumentative.
As for Swatch, I'm positive we've seen him/her this season...I thought he looked bored too

I don’t like Hester, either. I was hoping she’d keep the white and they wouldn’t like it. I hope she doesn’t win.

I have 2 of them, plus their friends who are all college Masters educated and have good jobs. Definetly of the betsy Johnson nitch, BUT Hester is younger, hotter, hipper. Michlle didnt have a definete nitch, I don't think. her stuff was more gothy, right? I am almost positive we have NOT seen Swatch.

BUT Hester is younger, hotter, hipper She may be younger than Betsy, but Hester, hot & hip??? You need some new glasses!! As for her style, it's SO junior. I doubt trendy college graduates want to dress like a they were dipped in glue then rolled in a toy box.

They showed Swatch a couple of times this season. An episode or two ago one of them bent down to pet Swatch and Christian reminded the designer's in one episode to say bye to Swatch and they showed the dog then.

Totally agree about wondering if there are buyers for Garo while at the same time praising Hester. Disagree about Michelle though- I saw lots of things she made that I would wear- I like many of her black, gothy designs.

I feel like hester’s stuff is already out there at Forever 21.
I don’t love Garo’s looks and his suit was terrible. It was a little unfair she told him to make a suit.
I hope Sebastian wins.
Overall I liked how everyone was mostly nice to each other this season. I know producers would like more drama.
The second Bishme said he only had 2 looks someway done I knew he was out. I never loved his stuff that much. I know I’m in the minority.
I’m still following Tessa on Instagram and she’s commented lately how vicious the comments are to her. She sees some of the designers periodically. She & Bishme are tight.

you're in Australia!! maybe they aren't up to the fashion times yet Probably a few years ahead... The only people I see occasionally dressed like Hester are the overseas students who I assume are mostly from Japan and who dress in that Harajuku style. The second Bishme said he only had 2 looks someway done I knew he was out. I never loved his stuff that much. I know I’m in the minority I thought he seemed liked a nice guy, but I also wasn't never a fan of most of his outfits.

I agree. Hester has a defined style that many people do want. Just because it’s not in your circle or your office, doesn’t mean it’s not worn. She’s got a strong style, and personally I think she is soaking this season up. She’s learning and pushing herself. I’m glad she’s still in it. I think it’ll be Sebastian, but only if he doesn’t try too hard, and doesn’t put all of his ideas in one piece. I’m not a fan of Garo. And I wasn’t a fan of Bishme either.

I see a lot of people who look like they were dressed by Hester yeah, I've seen that "people of Walmart" website too. Oh, please. I am talking about people I see everyday in Portland. I guess you were trying to be funny, but People of Walmart do not dress like that. Clearly because you don’t see adult people living their life that dress quirky you won’t accept that it is a real thing so nothing I can say is going to sway you, but I know what I see.

You're saying because I never see people like that...I don't think it's a real thing - but isn't that just obvious then? It must be one of those American things because people don't dress like that around here. I live in the area known for it's fashion district and when I walk down the street and look in shop windows and at what people are wearing who shop there, none of it looks like Hester's crap. I don't know why you are tying yourself in knots trying to convince me of something, when an actual PR contestant (with a quirky style) said herself, on camera that she has to work 5 jobs (probably an exaggeration) to make ends meet because she can't make money from her designs. AND that's with two seasons of PR exposure. I didn't make that up, she said it. They put them on the show, the judges rave about their ugly clothes, then they get out into the real world and find no-one wants to buy their stuff. Sure those weird designers have a niche (not nitch BTW) market but not enough for them to earn a living from it in most cases. My whole point was that the judges were questioning wether Garo who made several long sparkly dresses will sell garments, but they didn't question Hester's designs in the same way. It's a no brainer that sparkly evening dresses are going to outsell outsell circle nipple pasties & neon fake fur and see through mesh any day of the week.
