Geoff Earle..
”Trump wants at 'some point' to 'sit down and work out a fair deal' with #Iran. 'We just don't want them to have nuclear weapons, that's all we want.'
Prompted this from Brian Beutler..
“If only there were a plan of action that was joint and comprehensive.”
Or as someone else put it..
”Needed to get the Obama name off the last one.”
And this from Ben Rhodes..
”Does anyone believe that Trump could describe what the terms of the Iran Deal are? His criticisms were taken at face value even though he has no idea what he’s talking about (which involves nuclear weapons and a potential war)”

Admits tax fraud to save face and own the Libs. Brilliant. 👍 Calls the NYT piece inaccurate and fake. But precedes the claim of fakery by explaining how he did exactly what NYT was reporting. Fool. This is why Jong-Un and Vlad are always smiling whenever they see Trump.

I really, REALLY, don't like him!! ** Gaetz initially shrugged off the investigation in February, insisting the bar association must investigate all complaints. Now that the case has advanced beyond the initial inquiry, Gaetz "remains confident that the Florida Bar will not impair his vigorous and successful representation of his district,” spokeswoman Jillian Lane Wyant said in a statement. The complaint against Gaetz stems from a menacing tweet he sent on Feb. 27, the eve of Cohen’s testimony before a House committee. Gaetz wrote: “Do your wife & father-in-law know about your girlfriends? Maybe tonight would be a good time for that chat. I wonder if she’ll remain faithful when you’re in prison. She’s about to learn a lot...” He has since deleted the tweet, but not before it went viral. Legal experts compared it to intimidation of a witness. Walter Schaub, the former director of the Office of Government Ethics replied to Gaetz’s tweet with the federal statute number for tampering with a witness. Sen. Rick Scott, a fellow Florida Republican, called the tweet, “disgusting.” ** During Cohen’s testimony, Gaetz was spotted in the hearing room staring down the witness and whispering to Republicans even though he wasn’t a member of the committee meeting that day.** www.tampabay.com/florida-politics/buzz/2019/05/08/further-investigation-into-matt-gaetz-is-needed-for-tweet-at-michael-cohen-florida-bar-determines/Not a threat, now is it?!?!?

A comment on CNN this morning really hit me.... They were talking about dtJr's subpoena (out for 2 weeks, so they have known about it) and how it is so important for our courts and the continued need for the rules and regulations including subpoenas.... How we (general we) wouldn't want our courts not to follow the rules etc, not to run rampant in the future......... My first thought was that dt and his henchmen want that. As time passes they want the control, total power. His henchmen need to remember that they will not last with him, he will dump them faster then he can say their names (if he remembers their names)

This showed up in my FB feed in a mutual friends comment this morning, and honestly at this point it just depresses me. No matter what Trump does, 2 years later we still have people that are *this* delusional about him, and who he is. ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190509/ca82b531546c9becebe781fd5142d5f5.jpg)

I would love for one of our resident Trump supporters to give one valid reason why this is okay.

He’ll never do that, and I’m guessing it’s not really the issue of being proved to be a lousy businessman. I think what he’s afraid of is the discovery of the true source of his wealth. Is he complicit in laundering oligarchs’ dirty money, for example? What galls me particularly about this tweet is not really the fact that Trump would be gaming the system to come out ahead. Everyone already knows he’s been dishonest all his adult life, and everyone knows the super wealthy have the wherewithal to hire accountants who specialize at this sort of thing. Nothing revelatory about this. What galls me is instead of shutting up about it since he’s the freakin’ president, he’s rubbing every taxpayer’s nose in it – that we’re the dumb ones because we regular folks pay taxes. It’s supposed to be a “sport” and it’s not his fault he was good at it. It’s abominable. It’s reminiscent of Leona Helmsley saying “WE don’t pay taxes; only the LITTLE PEOPLE pay taxes.” It’s plainly sickening.

I've had lots of 'WTF' moments over the past few years, but this legit scares me, and makes me want to cry. If we lose the power of a free press to report on the ACTUAL events going on in the Executive Branch, and access to the people in it, along with all of the OTHER authoritarian moves the executive branch has made, we really ARE a banana republic, aren't we? I heard some expert this morning on MSNBC say 'no, I don't think we're in a Constitutional crisis until people get guns involved...' Really?!? WTF, dude? The executive branch no longer recognizes the other two branches of government's authority as equal co-branches of government!!! If THAT'S not the DEFINITION of a Constitutional crisis, then I don't know what IS!!! ![](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/pd7N3dneptLj3pbgz5Gd.jpg) it’s not his fault he was good at it. As if the man continually taking, taking, taking from the country (and from ALL of US, in essence) and not putting anything back into it like we all are 'supposed' to do is perfectly okay with them.

And while they're saying that, they're freaking out because someone on food stamps buys an item they consider too luxurious, or is receiving SSI disability through a "loophole." Totally fine when the rich do it, worthy of shutting the whole program down if the poor do it. The inability of regular folk to see how the rich and corporations benefit from their own form of "welfare" is mind-boggling. I read recently - socialism is for the rich; capitalism is for everyone else. Seems very apt these days.

As if the man continually taking, taking, taking from the country (and from ALL of US, in essence) and not putting anything back into it like we all are 'supposed' to do is perfectly okay with them. You would think. Let’s see what Trump actually did with the bow-topped tax law passed. Instead of closing the real estate loopholes, they were made more generous. Add to that changes to the top individual tax rate, the pass-through income tax rate and the estate tax, all, of course, favoring Trump Org and family. There were two loopholes that people were saying were closed. Misleading. He conveniently included exceptions to those to enable the real estate industry to continue as before. Let’s talk about being “savvy.” This is exactly how Fox & Friends spun it – that’s it’s actually impressive to have had that much money to lose. That losing $1.17 billion in ten years is not a big deal when you're like Trump. No mention of losing Trump Shuttle, a yacht, Grand Hyatt, NJ Generals, and three casinos to banks and other lenders, and nothing said about his companies’ six bankruptcies. No mention of Trump’s pump-and-dump schemes or any of the other real estate scams he pulled. No mention of the hundreds upon hundreds scammed and left holding the bag. This why we’re eff’d. Because people watch and believe this sh*t.

Hillary Clinton.. ”Thank you to all the students at @dartmouth for their thoughtful questions yesterday on everything from Iran and China to AI and the place of social media in our news environment. This generation doesn’t miss a beat.
The entire talk is available here: youtube.com/watch?v=54ptkh”
One would automatically expect a person who spent time in one the highest offices of the Federal Government to be able to have conversations like this.
But we all know trump is incapable of sitting down with students from a college or even grimmer school and have any type of meaningful discussion.

Judicial activism: only OK when it's your illegally stacked Supreme Court doing your bidding. This is what happens when a bunch of ignorant Americans support an ignorant president. I had an argument with a family member about the fact that the president is trying to use the office to intimidate and punish those who oppose him. "Great! That's what I'd do!" "Do you realize that destroys the checks and balances the forefathers tried to create?" "Oh, well. It's about time we had some real balls in the White House." "Then don't talk to me about how much you love the Constitution. You run your mouth non-stop about 2A, 2A, 2A, but you don't care that the rest of the constitution is being stepped on." "That's right. The second amendment is the most important amendment." I cannot handle the ignorance and blind support for a fucking traitor anymore.

Trump’s chief of staff just threw Trump Jr. under the bus in defense of McConnell’s ‘case closed’ claimAlex Henderson, AlterNet 09 MAY 2019 AT 10:24 ET Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr is feeling the wrath of fellow Republicans for subpoenaing Donald Trump Jr. in connection with the committee’s probe of Russian interference in the 2016 election. But Acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney isn’t jumping through hoops to defend Trump Jr.Discussing special counsel Robert Mueller’s final report for the Russia investigation on the Senate floor, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell recently declared, “case closed.” And Mulvaney, in an interview with CBS News, asserted that McConnell’s comment only applied to the president — not the president’s son. Mulvaney told CBS News that President Donald J. Trump and Donald Trump Jr. are “two different people. They do share the same name, and certainly, Don Jr. is the president’s son. But I think what Mr. McConnell was speaking to was that the president has been exonerated.” Mulvaney went on to say, “There was no reason that McConnell would go to the floor to talk about Don Jr. That’s just not going to happen. He was talking about the president.” The Republicans who have been attacking Burr for the subpoena of Donald Trump Jr. range from House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy to Sen. Rand Paul, who tweeted, “apparently, the Republican chair of the Senate Intel Committee didn’t get the memo from the Majority Leader that this case was closed.” McCarthy, meanwhile, tweeted that Republicans should “focus on ISSUES, not investigations.” And Republican Rep. Lee Zeldin of New York State tweeted on Wednesday night that it was “weak and ridiculous” for the Senate Intelligence Committee to perpetuate the Russia Collusion Delusion by continuing to harass @donaldjtrumpjr. They should NOT be taking orders from unhinged resistance Dems.”www.rawstory.com/2019/05/trumps-chief-of-staff-just-threw-trump-jr-under-the-bus-in-defense-of-mcconnells-case-closed-claim/Isn't Burr one of the leakers who went to the WH with info about Russia etc?!?

(Because the NRA has basically made government gun violence) reports next to useless for anything, but that, but I digress). 😏

Most of my family is long distance though and if I'm going to see them, it's because I fly to them. It's a wedding or graduation of my kids before parents will come here. My grandmother and my mother are in very ill health. I went to visit in March and after the behavior of so many family members, I won't be back until there's a funeral, if that. It really upsets me that they've chosen to idolize Trump and trash me and God help them if they used the occasion of a funeral to attack me, I'd finally REALLY bite back.
As for the 2nd Amendment opinion, it didn't used to be this way. They've been radicalized by the NRA. And the thing is, many of them are amenable to background checks, waiting periods, outlawing AR-15's, etc, but they're so busy being self-righteous about it, they won't admit it because they think it's the crack in the door before it yawns wide open and we're taking all their guns.

I mean I knew about the one reporter who had his credentials pulled for directly challenging Trump, but I didn’t realize that all the press had had their credential status changed like that. Off to read up on it.
