It's been interesting watching the criticism towards those that voted "anyone but Hillary" now declare they'll vote for "anyone but Trump."
If Bernie wins, will those that voted for him get the same treatment they dished out to the Trump voters? I don't think so, but time will tell.
I refuse to vote for someone who is a known racist, liar and toxic person. That eliminates Trump from getting my vote. Therefore I will vote for whoever is running against him. I think Trump and his agenda are the biggest threat to our democracy right now. I knew this before he won. He has only confirmed that while in office. So yeah, anyone but Trump.

Are you seriously comparing the qualifications that Hillary had to do the job with what Trump has? Surely you must realise that the " anybody but" has and had a very different reason behind it when comparing Hillary with Trump.

Bernie received serious pushback last election because of his intended policies. It appears a chunk of the country is willing to ignore that or soften to him now. He's the same candidate he was in 2016. It'll be interesting to see just how far left this country is willing to go.

I wasn't talking about Bernie but answering the " Anyone but Hillary" in your first paragraph, There's a very valid reason to take anyone against Trump and even Bernie, as left as he is by US standards, is better than the idiot you have in there now. Bernie has non of the characteristics that Trump has and neither did Hillary. There was no valid reason for people to say " Anyone but Hillary" except that they didn't like her, irrespective of the fact that she could have done the job a million times better than Trump even with her eyes closed. There's a million reasons to say " Anyone but Trump"

While there might be many reasons to not vote for Trump, I'm surprised a lot of people seem to make their vote known without any hesitation even if it's Bernie. He's as left as they get. Maybe that's how far this country is willing to lean, I don't know.

Not that it matters to me as I'm not American so I'm not advocating for any Bernie's out there. I'm just pointing out the misconception of what some in the US class as left.

One must be able to separate the person from the issues they support and look at each separately. The American voter should do this for every candidate they consider voting for, but it’s especially important when the person is running for President. The reason is ultimately the characteristics that define that person could ultimately be the guiding factor in how they govern if elected. History has taught us that some politicians will tell the voter what they want to hear just to get elected. Too many people ignored the “real” trump because of ,IMO, dumb reasons. “Anybody But Hillary” “Bernie didn’t win so we will show them by not voting for Hillary” or my favorite “Hillary is just as bad as trump blah blah”. Decision made without actually looking at him. Not taking into consideration his character. Sanders is certainly not my first choice when it comes to the Democratic nominee. I want him and Biden gone. Having said that if either of these men become the nominee, I will not hesitate to vote for them. And if either one of them should win which would prompt some to believe they have a leg to stand on by pushing the same perceived treatment the trump voters receive, well it would be proof they still live in that alternative universe they have been living in since they chose to vote for trump the first time around. IMO. Words that describe trump con artist crook hustler swindler bilker cheater fleecer flimflammer fraud hoser scam artist grifter trickster charlatan sexual predator liar racist stupid petty vindictive paranoid These attributes were front and center almost from the beginning when trump announced his run for the presidency. He didn’t hide them, but too many ignored them. And I still, to this day, don’t understand that

One thing I like about Buttigieg is he is forcing the religious question. He won't get the conservative, Frank Graham type religious vote (but no Democrat would IMHO), but he really connects with moderate Christians. From NBC News:

I am still befuddled by how they support and voted for Trump. He seems to be the antithesis of what the religious right stands for, yet the extreme religious right relatives and other people I know all say some version of Trump was chosen by God. I truly don't get it, and I never will.

Now that I have seen what Trump has done to America and his treatment of the truth, I believe anyone but Trump would be better. Most of the people I know who didn't want Hillary didn't want a woman. I personally would love to see a woman win, but I don't care if the person is better than Trump.

I’m certainly not going to base my vote on some hope that if the democrats pick a perfect moderate they’ll switch.

I should have added the laughing emoji to that post. Yes, you’re right. Of course I want an honest, hard-working, intelligent, educated, empathetic person of any sex, race, religion, or party to be our next president. The sooner the better. Extra points to any Democrat. Go ahead and ask for explanations and fixes. But to worry about someone’s minor fiscal issues that they are trying to right, while we face the tsunami of Trump’s crimes and multiple ethical offenses ... it just made me laugh.

So what is worse for this country, a man who fits to a “t” the list of words I posted or a Democratic Socialist? Keep in in mind ,thanks to trump & company exploding the debt, very little of Sander’s “socialist” ideas will see the light of day. But trump’s destructive actions will continue for another 4 years. The vision trump is pushing is one that benefits him personally. Everything he does somehow benefits him. While as misguided as some may see Sanders socialist platform, he honestly believes it is a better way for this country. And there is very little he can do to push that platform without the help from Congress While trump is a one man wrecking crew with his EO’s and his appointments. His choice of Bill Barr as AG is paying off in spades. Of course we really might have not one but a couple constructional crisis thanks to trump’s actions. But hey, I guess in your mind that is better then a socialist.

I was rather speaking to the fact that she's got money coming in from an anonymous source and she will not say who it is. I find that disturbing. Shouldn't campaign donations be transparent? How will we know if certain special interests are trying to gain favor with specific politicians? Secret money is a formula for corruption...

I just went back and read the AJC article you linked about her “funding sources.” Those funding sources she hasn’t named were donors to a non-profit she was running to help low-propensity voters get registered and vote. It was not donations to her campaign. Maybe she should be more transparent, but your claim that she refused to name donors to her campaign was actually misleading.

I agree If the Trump presidency hasn't taught us anything, it is that transparency matters. I would like to see it mandatory that they reveal their tax returns if they are going to run for president. If you don't want to, then what exactly are you hiding?

Funny how some people are so concerned about a threat to capitalism but not a threat to our democracy 🤷🏻♀️ Hence why some of us in the middle feel like this is a no-win situation.

My claim comes directly from the article:
I never said it was undiscoverable...just that she isn't admitting it and therefore is lacking transparency. So the question is why doesn't she want to admit it? Is it their poor performance under her guidance?
Or that it is possible she used it to make connections for later use?
Or perhaps it's because the entire purpose of the non-profits was to launch her into the governor's race?
