Thank you, Maryrose for the "PTI Refugees" name suggestion! Ha! At least we can start a thread here with that name. I'm coming over from the PTI forum... the only forum I think I've ever been a part of. We're not sure of the new direction that PTI is taking (no news or announcements as of today), and we're not sure if the PTI forum will stay up, so we wanted a place where we can start "hanging out" in case that one does close down. I like what I see around here! I like all the emoji options for sure! And I like that I can talk about products from multiple paper crafting companies, not just one. Whether you are coming over from the PTI forum, like me, or not, you might have heard that PTI sent an e-mail early April stating that they would have a May release and that we would get more details at end of April. At this point, do you still think that PTI will have a release. Personally, I doubt it. I will be surprised if they do. I am curious to see what new "announcement" they make.

Welcome!!! I'm glad you found this forum, Roxana. I have been a very infrequent poster on the PTI site over the past several years. After all these years of supporting PTI, I'm kinda over them. My interest in their products has waned. I would only be upset if their card stock went away or changed in price. There are so many other good stamp companies out there and I like to spread my money around with many of them!

I’m not sure what the future of PTI is but they are no longer the PTI that some of us used to love. Nicole and the long time designers were the heart of PTI, that’s gone.
Their hiatus to regroup is bad for business but there will always be the PTI unicorns that willl buy from them no matter what. I’ll admit I was one of those unicorns until they showed their true colors back in the email deleting days.
Jennifer McGuire is the ultimate stamping influencer and I’ve always wondered why she didn’t promote them more. There’s got to be some industry scoop behind that.
out of all of this PTI mess, I’m just glad we still gets Betsy’s designs!

Years ago Jennifer McGuire tweeted that she can’t believe how long shipping takes when she lives in the same city as the company she ordered from. Jennifer McGuire lives in Cincinnati and the PTI warehouse is also in Cincinnati. It didn’t take long to figure out that’s the company she was referring to.

Thank you, freeatlast and scrapnnana for helping me feel welcome! Looks like there's plenty going on at the non scrapbook related threads! I'll have to check those out, too! I agree with you, pinklady, there's got to be something behind the fact that Jennifer McGuire nor other well known Designers would ever want to even mention PTI... I did see that JMcGuire did post on her IG stories today that she was had placed her order from The Greetery. I'm interested to see if she uses those products in a video. I do like her videos... I've learned a lot of techniques from her that way.

Another PTI refugee here. I removed myself from the forum about 6 months ago. Too much drama. Same reason for leaving FB.

I used to love PTI designs. I never bothered to check their forum before and just bought things I like.
I am kind of coming close to stop buying from them as I had a terrible experience with their customer service about 2-3 months ago.

Just checking in. I believe they are close to clearing their inventory. I expect their new wholesale venture will start soon. I’ll be surprised if they keep a forum past getting rid of their old stuff. Be interesting who they hire to design their products. Having read some of those ghastly customer service letters published here and there I can’t imagine they are easy to work for.

Having read some of those ghastly customer service letters published here and there I can’t imagine they are easy to work for. That's what I'm thinking... I like their products, but boy, they've had the worst communication with their customers since the changes in February. That alone reminded me of the published customer service letters that you mention. I read only one... with that and the recent events (or lack thereof) I just get more and more aggravated. Maybe the reason that they're not communicating with customers too much now is because they don't think they need to if they start to do wholesale. I don't see myself buying more than paper and ink from them in the future. But easier said than done. We'll see what happens when they do finally decide to share some new products.

I don’t know who they’ll be announcing any upcoming news. Sadly, there are probably only 20 (+/-) forum members. I know some customers have said that they hadn’t always received newsletters and emails on regular basis. I hope PTI truly used this time to regroup and develop a strategy to regain the trust and support of former loyal customers.

Sorry to hear this... especially when there is a niche for creativity and expansion. Probably all about profit.. which I understand ... disappointing...

I just received the two stamp sets I ordered from the May sale. They have some $24 sets marked down to $5 and $15 sets marked down to $3. I picked up two sets and payed $15 total, with shipping.
I noticed Maile Belles hasn’t designed for them in awhile, Erin Lincoln is gone, Betsy, Dawn... are any original designers left?

They hired Jennifer Campbell a few months back who designed a couple of sets at the beginning of the year but she's the only designer listed, and they are advertising for designers and product illustrators. blog.papertreyink.com/our-team/

They have been advertising for new designers since before Nichole left, so that is not current. Jennifer Campbell is the only product designer left, except for someone who designed two sets for the last release. My guess is that they did not have enough in the pipeline for a final release. They really downplayed the name of the product designer, contrary to what they have always done before, so I got the feeling she might be a freelancer.
I like the sets that Jennifer Campbell has done. Really nice sentiments done in her own modern calligraphy, as well as some nice watercolor style flowers.
I have no idea what new products they will be offering. PaperTrey was Nichole and all of the long-timers like Betsy, Heather, Lizzie, Dawn and the others. It will be a different company entirely, but I'm still curious to see if they have products that still interest me.
I also wonder what they will do with all of the unsold product. There are still dies that I want that are OOS and I'm wondering if they will come back.

I was a huge PTI fan for a long time, but I never knew about the history with the owners. Now that I do, I'll be hesitant to purchase anything further from them. I love Betsy V's design, she was really the heart of the company (to me) after Nichole left, so I'm thrilled she's started her own venture. I'm looking forward to what she comes up with in the future.

I’m not going to be a negative nelly on here but they way Nichole and others were treated was shabby. They will have to show me a lot before I buy from them again because I like to buy from companies that are kind and honest. I enjoy the camaraderie of the forum so I’ll join up and see what Paper To Ink is up to.
