The scrapbook store n Topeka, Kan., had the Ink to Paper sets out this past Thursday. They've had some PTI sets, too -- I know I saw Dawn McVey- and Betsy Veldman-designed sets.

I have nothing against Kansas but if all I could come up with after all this talk about going wholesale was one store I think I would have just waited until I had a bigger announcement. Makes it look like they are scrambling. Jennifer McGuire has not mentioned Ink to Paper although she mentioned Betsys new store. Maybe she doesn’t consider it a “new” venture. I like to watch what PTI is up to because they are so all over the place. It’s entertainment.

I'm pretty surprised that ITP is doing sneak peaks for another balloon set. I was surprised when it was part of their first release too. This is a pretty mature hobby, so I would imagine everyone has them already. Doesn't seem like a great business decision.

I get that there is nothing new under the sun but as soon as I saw “You are my Happy”, I immediately thought of “Green Thumb”. I don’t see anything fresh. Attachments:

And the instagram sneak of the flowers yesterday looks recycled from some much earlier sets.

This was just a sneak peak from Ink to Paper. 😯 There is definitely a resemblance to Friendship Jar. 😁

The May anemone set looks a whole lot like the old old Bold Blossoms and Vintage Linens sets. They haven’t sold out of anything from the first release. I think their card designs look a little fresher and less cluttered but other than that I see nothing new except higher prices. I agree those frames are from way back.

I am confused by the PTI/Ink to Paper scenario.
Papertrey Ink is no longer producing new products? Or are they producing new products for wholesale only?
Is Ink to Paper coming out with its own set of inks and matching Cardstock or is that transferring over from PTI?
If PTI isn’t creating new products, how can they expect to sell current (old) stock to buyers/stores? Why not clearance it all out and move forward with Ink to Paper?
What was the purpose of leaving the PTI name behind and creating a new business that sells identical products? A re-branding? Then why not rebrand the old PTI products and add in new products?

If history tells us anything, Julie & Jane are clueless and don’t know how to run a stamp business. Sorry but this company, whatever name you use, is dead.

I’m with Pink Lady on this one. A short time ago PTI announced that their continuing 15% off sale was storewide. When customer service was called they responded that there was some “confusion” about that and no storewide didn’t really mean storewide. Their cardstock which is sold in the store is not on sale. Then they got their rules for international shipping prices/policies on ITP wrong and annoyed a bunch of their overseas and Canadian customers. They fixed it but they didn’t fix the ill will. Pretty clueless as usual.
