Did anyone else notice a bunch of the June leafy frames kit DT cards had a "HUG & KISSES" sentiment on them? lol. Just one hug. Nope. Only one. No more hugs for you. I just went to look at the stamp set and it looks like it's been fixed, based on the main stamp image, but the example cards are all missing the S on hugs. ( link) Did they mention that anywhere? I didn't notice anything in my emails but I also didn't look closely because I hated the patterned paper at first sight. I'm warming up to the stamp set now, unfortunately. But if I cave I'll get it separately. It doesn't appear to be flying off the shelves.

I didn't notice it but I just went back to look at it and you are right! Only one hug for anyone getting one of these cards. I guess I warmed up to the set, too. My order was placed this morning. The frame of flowers got me.

The frame of flowers got me. I do rather like those frames... especially when I saw KWerner's mail art envelope. But I don't think I need to make anything with it myself. I'm trying to learn the difference between I love it on someone else's cards and I want to make lots of those myself. I have more than enough stamps I haven't made the most of yet. I think Vicki P did a video with the kit so I might watch and see if she says anything about the Hug.

I can understand typos on a message board, but not for a product that a company is selling.
I've been surprised at how often people here have reported issues like this for paper craft items.

It's pretty terrible if you're essentially selling typography! But I think it's a bit like signwriter errors. Back when people used to paint signs there were all kinds of mistakes made by people who either didn't know better, couldn't bothered to check, or just didn't see the mistake because they were too caught up in the design. Like the mistake with 'twas the night before Christmas being written as t'was, and I had a MME cut apart that had dependable spelled dependeble (or something like that). Sometimes it's that blindness that comes from needing fresh eyes on something, or what I think of as designer blindness (if I'm doing creative fonts in PS I'm much less likely to notice spelling mistakes). I'm not sure how many of these they made with the mistake but maybe they'll show up as an "oops" clearance item someday. Or maybe they do a trial production run for the DT product (to get it early) and they noticed the mistake once it arrived.

No, the mistake was not corrected. My kit arrived today and it’s still “hug & kisses”.

My favorite was Basic Grey's insistence that they meant "Pheobe" and NO, they hadn't misspelled Phoebe.

I thought it was odd, but that maybe the set had a separate "s" to create phrases. So you could either send a hug, or hugs and kisses. I guess I assumed incorrectly.

That’s pretty bad. My favorite is a Heidi Swapp kit years ago that had the days of the week and Thursday was spelled Thrusday.

Sort of hijack: Did you guys notice that SSS has product reviews now? I think it's a great idea, but when I looked at the reviews for this card kit, two of them were from design team members from Simon Says Stamp, which seems somewhat sneaky to me. Neither of the two reviews disclose this information, I was only aware because the names are familiar to me.

They should definitely disclose that they have a relationship with the company. I imagine they're trying to jump start the reviewing since it's new, but they're basically employees of the company. I would want to know that when I'm reading reviews. Especially if they got the product for free.

Update! They contacted me on Tuesday and, after providing two photos - one of the stamp and one of the stamped image - and following up with them again today, they have agreed to replace the stamp once the replacements have arrived.

I'm glad they're taking care of you freeatlast but a bit surprised that you had to prove anything! Did they acknowledge that it was a known issue? Did they have a mixture of correct and wrong ones go out? I mean, why would anyone complain if there wasn't actually a problem...?

They didn't really acknowledge it to me but, if they have replacements on order, I think they had to know about it. What I have no feel for is whether they will replace stamps for everyone who got a single "hug" or if you have to complain to get a replacement.
