not for me, but you know your budget and how much $100 would impact it. How often do you travel? how much use would it get? Would you feel extra special having it on your trips? Is that feeling worth $100?

I’m totally into nylon travel bags or purses at the moment. It’s all about how much you think it will meet your needs.

Have you looked at the Paravel fold up bag? Similar design but only $65. I think that is the one I’m going to get for a trip this summer. Paravel Fold Up Bag

I like the design, but the handles look a little short to put over your shoulder if you would carry it that way. I'm sure you could return it if it wasn't a perfect fit though.

I could not bring myself to pay $100 for that when I know you could find something similar and much cheaper at TJMaxx

We all have different tastes when it comes to purses, luggage, tote bags so if this bag is your thing then go for it.

I would if it was something that I LOVED. But in this case, it’s a nylon bag. I think you’d be paying more because it’s a TUMI than anything else. Personally, I’d find something cheaper.

I like the zip top for travel but I couldn't spend that much on a tote bag when they are often 'free gifts' with cosmetic purchases. I have too many cluttering up my closet as it is.
Have you checked Etsy for something handmade and probably less expensive? I sew and would totally recreate that design in cloth if I wanted a bag like that.

That polka dot one listed above is cute! And much less than $100

If it’s in your budget and you travel a lot then perhaps. My DH loves his Tumi luggage. However, I travel a lot and I’d buy a similar one from Amazon for under $20.

Amazon has plenty of options with straps that are longer.

I googled "tumi voyager just in case tote" (the one you posted about) and it gave several options with much cheaper prices, including Macy's, eBags, and the Tumi website itself. So, maybe you can get exactly the bag you want AND not pay $100!

Honestly? Having a Tumi bag in an airport just screams, “Please steal me!”. I had a set of Tumi luggage which was stolen. Now, I just pick up cheap stuff @ TJMAXX. I am sure there are cheaper alternatives that won’t make you a target.
Good luck!

I agree with others about those short straps. That's my biggest gripe about bags (after price.) Why do people think we want big bags stuffed up under our armpits?

Brilliant, I didn’t know tote bags came with luggage sleeves and I need one in my life. Could have really used it last weekend actually. Yours is the most attractive posted by far. But I’m with the pea that mentioned difficulty wearing over shoulder. You might not always be able to put it on a suitcase.

If it were beautiful and I loved it and would use it a lot maybe. For what Im seeing, no. I always take a small carry on bag that’s almost empty when I go and usually comes back full but I prefer something bigger.

I like this one!
And there's no way I think a nylon bag is worth $100.

Nope. It’s a zip top bag. Hit up local thrift shops!
If you’re someone that loves/needs name brand then it may be worth it to you.

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m a hoarder of tote bags and have amassed quite a collection of them over the years when I was a frequent trade show attendee. But in spite of that or maybe because of it, I would never in a million years pay a hundred bucks for what looks like a pretty basic nylon zipper bag. The one I always use for travel is probably about 18x18x10 or so, made of canvas, pockets on the front and back, small zipper pocket inside and the top completely zips closed. Got it at a convention full of scrapbooking stuff as part of the swag. It was free.

I have paid stupid money for things in the past just because I wanted them. Unless that $100 is your grocery money, get the bag.

Check the airlines for the size, 23" seems big to me for a personal bag.

Get it if you want it and think you'll use it. I have this bag, and have found it very useful. Rumi is frequently featured on the View and GMA deal sites, and they often run sales on their website. www.ebags.com/product/rume-bags/cfold-expandable-carry-all/268571I especially like that it folds up into itself, and I don't have to keep track of the little bag it goes into when it is folded up. You can see the zipper along the bottom, but that doesn't bother me.

I like the ability to slip over your luggage handle. I say buy it because ease of travel is important.

Have you checked Etsy for something handmade and probably less expensive? I sew and would totally recreate that design in cloth if I wanted a bag like that. I follow a bag group called Dog Under My Desk. Erin's pattern this reminded me of is called the Take Off Tote. I actually just made 2 of them for my SIL and MIL for mothers day. OP, I just looked at the bag, and forgive me I'm channeling my mother here. It's made out of nylon. a hundred bucks for nylon? and it doesn't look like there's a pocket on the inside either. There are other, cheaper, options out there that will give you the flexibility you want with that back slip pocket for your suitcase. Do you know someone who sews? Pay them to make you a Take off tote in a pretty fabric. If you leave out the foam it's totally "crushable".

I bought a very similar bag (very slightly smaller, but the same style) at a thrift store for $2, so $150 sounds outrageous to me.

I like the design, but the handles look a little short to put over your shoulder if you would carry it that way. I'm sure you could return it if it wasn't a perfect fit though. I checked the dimensions at the Tumi website and they are short. Just a 7.5" drop. However, if OP is set on that bag, the Tumi website has several more colors available, and at the same price as Nordstrom. Tumi Voyager Just-In-Case Tote
