We had 12" of insulation blown into our attic yesterday and it knocked out our internet. Of course the insulation people didn't know how to fix it and it's a weekend. I worried that if we waited for Comcast to come, it would be a week or two and I had no way to contact anyone. I was going to go to Emily's and use her internet to let the Pokeys and the Team Challenges know that we were "off the grid" for a while. Then, to our rescue came our sweet son-in-law, Doug. He came this evening and spend about an hour here and got it fixed. He is amazing!! He didn't even have to get up into the attic!
I can't believe how cut off from the world I have felt for the last 24 hours. Our home phone was out as well as the internet. I was trying to prepare for my Church class tomorrow without any way to print out the materials I needed. I didn't realize how techno dependent I am. My panic was that it might be weeks to get someone here to fix it.
I will start a new thread tomorrow evening or Monday morning. This month has gone so quickly!
Our appt with the Surgeon was a happy one. There is no trace of the cancer. Now that we are clear of it, the doctor told us about what the result could have been. He never acted nervous with us, but he was very worried about DH losing his eye. He told us again that we have been very blessed. We agree completely.
kellyr21 , I love to see you scrapping!! I sent you some emails today. I hope I gave you what you wanted.
LisaDV , grammadee , and @elaynef , I am still looking at ways to get smaller photos. I checked out photosheet and may go that way. I don't use PSE but my daughters do so they could help me. Still deciding. Thanks for the suggestions!
