@calimom2, your sports pages are really fun! I love the vertical border strips. You’ve got some happy sprinkles going on too. Is that pp or did you splatter? No splatters, it is just the papers!

Scrapping a bit today...kinda felt like I burned myself out last month doing LOAD. But I'm just taking slow and still enjoying it. Here's today...deets on the Flickr. HaileyWagsonHo1 by Sandi D, on Flickr HaileyWagsonHo2 by Sandi D, on Flickr I love layouts with a lot of pictures that tell a story.

This LO is for the Sketchy Saturday May 25th challenge. It's a photo of my dog dressed in DD's football jumper (jersey). She barracks for the Bulldogs, hence the title. I used the kit "Blue Skies" that I bought specifically for this LO - I'm hoping to get some more use out of it next month if someone posts a 4th July challenge using these colours.
Points: 1 for the challenge, 1 for sharing, #3 Letter S, #4 Rectangles, #5 vSquare, #6 Stay current, #15 Dot it up, #16 All that glitters, #21 Tear it up, #26 Use a kit, #27 In stitches, #29 Keep it together, #30 Hearts & Stars (5), #31 Favourite things (10), #33 Photo Love (3), #37 New Product, #47 Stash busting (6), #49 Here kitty kitty, #54 Pattern Paper Play (2), #63 Nuvo, #64 Flower Power (3), #65 Tie it up, #70 Eyelet, #71 Tag it up, #76 Digital Love, #81 One brand (2) TOTAL = 50 points OK this one is just plain good. Good colors, good balance, good pics.

super simple one to start the section on the Toyko Skytree - I scanned the reverse of the postcard so I could include it - and DS mailed me his tickets etc.. for the scrapbook. "Skytree" (8.5x11) = 1 (layout) + 1 (sharing) + 1 (#3 S is for Skytree) + 1 (#4 rectangle) + 1 (#7 vacation) + 1 (#63 flowers) = 6pts

I need to catch up on looking at all of your wonderful pages but for now I have 2 cards to share. My friend is finishing her bachelor's degree next week with a plan to become a teacher so I made her a card. It's a variation of a design I've been playing around with for my shop. I'm in love with the bold sentiment and I've been having fun with my distress oxide colors. Stamping multiple shapes and colors in "random" patterns is surprisingly hard! The other one is a 100th birthday card for a veteran. I found out about the card drive this morning. He wants to get enough cards that it will take him until he's 101 to read them all! I like that optimism so I grabbed some fireworks paper to make him a quick card. His birthday is June 30th but I figure it's the 4th of July season and the patriotic colors will hopefully appeal to him, along with the pun. I even popped on some glittery silver enamel dots for him! Inside it says "it's your 100th birthday" (100th in red) and I'm going to try to write him an interesting letter. I put the address in the photo in case anyone else wanted to send him a card. While I have that 4th of July paper out I'm going to try to whip up a few quick Glorious Fourth cards for Bring Smiles to Seniors. Hopefully I haven't left it too late. This year is flying by!

I made the July 4th-ish cards, although I'm not going to add any holiday specific stuff to them in case they don't get distributed in time for the holiday. As they are they'll be OK as summery/general greetings, depending on what gets written inside. (I'm leaving that to the charity I'm sending them to). The papers were leftovers, bought for a dinosaur birthday card I made for my shop last month. I knew that they'd work for the Fourth even if they didn't work for the dinosaur card, and I'm glad I actually followed through! I think they came out quite nicely and that the seniors will enjoy them.

Thank you for the card love I added some glittery bling to all the fireworks after I took the photo. I used up all but 1 of the sheet of enamel dots and believe me, I tried really hard to use that last one, but I'd already broken too many rules of design. Just couldn't do it. I was gathering the cards up to mail to Bring Smiles to Seniors and found a half done card that I decided to quickly color and finish. The stamping was done on an Ella & Viv watercolor patterned paper. The Tombow marker I used to color the rose turned out to be really garish - too bubblegum. So I went over it with a muted darker pink and I think it turned out OK. One day I'll figure out how to color that stamp nicely. I haven't had much luck with the layering pieces that came with the outline stamp. I'm on a roll! Maybe tomorrow I'll actually get to the cards I'm supposed to be making for my shop!

@calimom2 - "bigfoot" is so clean and graphic, I love it. "unicorn hair" - my 15 year old would LOVE to do something like that but it's so $$ here and her hair is SO thick we've been warned it would be extra. Love your strips, banner and title treatment echoing the hair and each other. hop2 - your travel pages look like a fun size and layout to make a flip-through of a trip. And the strips you created are really pretty and fun, I especially like the "travel" and "escape" ones! justjac - hoooo-eeee, gorgeous cards! The colours, the embossed birthday/balloons, all so so pretty. 2marbles, I love what you did with "lbjh", the alternating stripes/letters, it's simple but so effective! @craftmom101 - I love both "click" and "sunkissed": the layers, the circle, the scallop and embossed CS on "sunkissed", the chevron arrows and adorable photos of "click", they are really great designs and elements linda - love the grey/red of "soya" and I love seeing these photo stories! I especially like the real-life elements on the one "soya" page (postcards maybe, from the museum?) The black and white and torn pp on "penguins" is super, I bet you had fun making that page. I can tell it was a favourite picture

Thanks I think I'm going to do the daily marker 30 day coloring challenge and learn how to use my markers and colored pencils better. I get frustrated when my coloring doesn't work out how I want, tend to blame my crappy tools, but I haven't really taken the time to learn how to use them properly, so what do I expect?! btw I like that you use your native spelling of colour I've assimilated my spelling. Although I think I usually still want to spell jewellery and aeroplane and aluminium correctly. lol.

Have a few minutes so will try to catch up on comments for page 5. @calimom2, I love your vertical border strips. You always seem to choose the perfect papers to set the mood., and your design leaves lots of space for photos and journaling. Love that geo marker pp on the big foot page. And. That Unicorn Hair page is so perfectly girlie with the glittery letters and banner. I think I need to steal the idea to use washi tape to make the little flags. Sweet of you, joblackford, to do the photo books for your mom’s travel. craftymom101, your boy pages are awesome. That Click page is a hoot! Love the red and yellow together, and how you used the circle and the chevrons. And I am amazed by how you got a completely different feel using different pp combo on the SunKissed page. Cool to see them growing up. Linda, I get tired just seeing all your completed pages! I don’t have time to look at them in detail this evening, but hope to come back to them later. KikiPea, your birthday pages really highlight the fun had by all. Love the happy photos, and all the busy elements.

joblackford, really super cards, I love the subtle differences on some of the 4th of July cards (matting colour, moving the sentiment to better be in a "firework". Love the gem centres on the birthday variant! linda - sweet sweet choice of colours on your ongoing japan pages - the cherry blossoms, swoon, and love the tower at 2 different times of day; and the smokey grey-blue picks up the photos so beautifully. KikiPea - fabulous title work, layers and photos!

Love for pages 6 & 5: joblackford, loving your cards. Love the one you did for the 100 year old man. The fireworks cards are well done too. I think you did a great job on that rose. Linda, I am loving all of your Japan pages. KikiPea, Fabulous title work and excellent title for your nephew's page on the John Deere. craftymom101, beautiful pages. I love the colors and layers on both the camera page and sunkissed. 2marbles, The LBJH pages have great color and composition. I love the music notes and treble clef. @calimom2, Love the cute banner and title on unicorn hair and excellent patterns/colors. That beautiful center striped paper really caught my eye and moved me down the page on Big Foot.
