Corinne, I've become doily crazy. I have downloaded a bunch that I can cut from my Cricut & SCAL, and I bought a couple of doily dies. I love using them on my cards. Not sure why I love them so much, but they really remind me of my mom. I have some of her crocheted doilies under my plants in my living room. I know that looks "old lady-ish", but what can I say, I'm an old lady and they remind me of my sweet mother. LOL!
Nice to see you!

Yes, Pam I would and we would have lots of fun!
Nylene- LOL! what a fun trip that would be. Oh yes, I am still practicing my guitar mostly on the weekends. My fingers are still so tender but after a while I guess they will toughen up. Man, it sort of hurt! Does any of your family play? I got musical genes. My mom, grandma and great grandma were all classically trained pianist. I tried as a kid but wasn't crazy about practice. I would rather be outside playing with my friends than being cooped up practicing! So here I am all these years later with music in my soul. Oh, I gotta give my guitar a name, too. BB King has Lucille and what will mine be called?
Corinne- Thanks for the cheers for my art. Yeah, I love painting the hair and it is a big part of my new found style. It feels so free when I paint it. My favorite part.

Happy Friday everyone! Been super busy, but am now stuck on a conference call covering for my boss and they are talking about things that have NO relation to what I'm working on so I'm playing around Kelly, I love your paintings! They are beautiful, nicely done. I don't have much artistic talent in that area so I admire people who do. I have done a bit of kitting from time to time, but I really like to have all of my supplies at hand. I actually do sort of kit without actually doing it on purpose. The other night, I selected papers, embellies, etc and didn't do any actual scrapping. Depends on the day. So here is are my two layouts that I did on Weds night. The lighting is bad, sorry. By the 2nd page, I was tired so there's not much going on there lol!

Hi everyone, I am definitely pokey! I just finished an album (which took up 2 albums) for my daughter's mission. I finished that in May, and haven't gotten back into it. I'm going to work on a Halloween album next which will include multiple years. Just want to have something to set out on the coffee table in October! My dh goes all out at Halloween and has come up with some awesome costumes. I just haven't gotten the motivation to do it yet. I even got a bunch of fun new Halloween things to make the album. I have a question about posting pictures though. I understand that you have to use a photo hosting site, but how do you get 12 x 12 albums into your computer? My scanner only does 8.5 x 11. I am primarily a traditional scrapper, but would love to learn digital.

I'm pokey! I need to get back into the swing of things. DS is turning 18 next week, and I have year 1 done. UGH! I also have up to grade 4 done. The down side to all of this, is I have 3 more kids to do! My goal is to get as much stuff kitted as I can so when I have time, I can sit down and get pages done. My son is 21 (born in 1993), and I am working on a book(s) just of him (I.e. school pics/Easter Bunny/Halloween/Santa and sports). I am up to the year 2000, so I empathize with you. Plus I need to get some photos re-printed from negatives, from the earlier years. I hope to work on more pages this weekend. Good luck - maybe we can encourage each other!

Welcome, SunnySmile! We are so glad to have you here. I can't answer your scanning question because I scrap 8.5x11, but I know there are Pokeys here who can walk you through it. There are also digital scrappers here who could give you pointers on digi. I'm a traditional scrapper too, but if I had enough computer know-how, I think it would be fun to try the digi stuff. But then I'd have a room full of papers and stuff that wouldn't get used. LOL!
I definitely already own my lifetime supply of scrap stuff.
We'd love to see some of your pages from the album you just finished.

Hi, sbartist, welcome to Pokey Peas. We'd love to have you join us. The whole reason behind this Challenge is to encourage one another. As you are working on those pages, post them here to encourage others. It's always fun to get new ideas.

The book(s) for my son are 8x8's, and I scrap traditionally, so I can be very limited on what I can do. I finished this page up last night. 2000 Ninja

Bonnie, did you do that paper piecing of the women and the car? That is amazing. Love both of your pages. I love the smaller pages that don't need quite so much embellishing. Thanks for posting. So much fun!

Buffy, that DIS board opens a whole new world to me. I will be anxious to spend some time there as I work on my Disney Album. I have done 3 albums for each of our trips and just have this last one to go. I can't think of the name of the Disney Board that Tami ?, and Susan started, but I think I can find it. My last Disney albums was TOTALLY scraplifted from Susan! Doesn't she do great work. I love her sketches and can often adjust them for 8.5x11 which I like. She is so talented.

Good evening Peas! Boy this thread has been hopping! Welcome everyone! I am Cindy and have been a Pokey Peas ever since I joined 2 peas five years ago. I am a wife, mom, grandma and I scrap both traditional and digi. I also do 12x12 and I photograph my layouts to get them into the computer, then use Photobucket or my blog to link my pages to. If I can help anyone in anyway I will be happy to. I also use a Silhouette Cameo and will try to help anybody with problems with that.
I was working on a badge-hint hint! Today but I am not finished with it. It is giving me a hard time. I want to scrap this evening also. Went walking in CVNP and the beaver marsh. Got some fab photos of a blue Heron! Also water lilies. I need to go back and check out everyone's pages.
Kelly I am sure you heard that LeBron is coming back to the Cavs. He lives not too far from me! And his high school is right across the road from where my grands go to school. Cleveland is going wild tonight-they are all partying! well going back and turn on the other computer! BBL

WELCOME SunnySmile and Bonnie!!! I look forward to getting to cheer for you both. My name is Kelly, married and live in So Cal. I love making cards, scrapbooking and other crafts. Lately I have been practicing drawing and painting. See you around!
Ann- What cute pages! I like the little circle abc's you used in the title. Nice work.
Cindy- YES! I have been watching LeBron watch all week and this morning when I woke up to hear he went to the Cavs, boy I had to get up and check out all the coverage. In fact I am still listening on the radio to all the drama and who the Lakers are getting. Wow, you live that close to LeBron and all the action. Very cool! I know they will be partyin' all weekend. I do like LeBron and happy for him and his family and of course the fans. But this was a shock! Didn't think he would leave his buddy Dwayne and the Heat. So this has been an exciting sports day. Johnny Manziel and LeBron in Cleveland is going to make for great fun.

Cindy- Yes, I read it and it was very well written. It was heart felt and sincere. I do admire him for wanting to be a role model for the youth in the area. Just a super guy! That must of been fun watching him grow up and seeing him emerge at a great star. SO I know he is going to have a restful and wonderful Summer now that this is all over. Plus he and his wife are expecting a baby girl.

Good evening all!!! I have been trying to scrap all day but I got interrupted several times! I have almost caught up my 8x8 Christmas tree album. I need to finish up embellishments. It's very basic just so we can see our tree from year to year. I also created a "Mr. Spell" for DD's dorm door. She is an RA and is doing a Toy Story theme. Nylene -- the links Buffy gave you are full of inspiration. I just love to look over it. I probably have some LOs I need to add to it shortly. Well, I hope to post a LO or two tomorrow afternoon. I forgot we have to take DS13's 4-H projects in tomorrow morning and than back out with his animal. It's going to be a busy week!

Good Morning Peas! Happy Saturday! I'm taking a quick break(recovering from this morning's zumba class) and then plan to go to my studio to play. I subscribed to the Noel Mignon kit and it came in the mail this week...so I have new goodies to play with...yay! Olivia, my oldest dd, is 20 and she loves to sew and paint, so we hang out together doing crafts on Saturday when we can. Thankfully, she cleaned the whole house yesterday for me, so all I have left to do is laundry, which I can do while I scrap. It's really nice not to have to do the housework, I've been working a ton of hours during the week, so I was relieved not to have a bunch of chores to do today. Welcome to sunnysmile and sbartist!!! Sunnysmile - I use Photoshop Elements to stitch my LO's together. My scanner is like yours, but I scrap mostly 12x12, so I scan each half and stitch it together in PSE. I think you can also stitch them together in Picasa...I just don't use that one. I'm sure one of the other ladies knows how to do it without photoshop, that's just how I've always done it. Have a nice day ladies! Tina

Here is my first craft for today: My DD is an RA and she wanted a sign to go with her floor theme... Here is what I came up with. She can slide her whereabouts in and out of the page protector screen! Being new to the boards I hope this posts correctly.

Nan, that Mr. Spell is soooo cute! What a cute way to tell the residents where she is. We love everything Toy Story, ...well, everything Pixar because our DSIL works there.
We have something else in common. I have been a 4-H leader for over 35 years. We love 4-H around here, but it keeps us hopping. Right now I just teach my granddaughters. I taught all the girls (and some boys) the ages of my children as they were growing up. Grandchildren are all I can handle now.
I finished a Disney page but Photobucket is down, so I can't post it. I'll try again later.
Cindy and Kelly, I can tell how excited you are to have LeBron back. He's a favorite of my Cub Scouts. Hope he does well for the team.
We are going to take a ride in the canyon and go to our favorite milkshake spot for lunch. Milkshakes are not on the diet, but we may pretend they are just for today!

Finally got Photobucket back online and then I couldn't remember how to post it. I'm still such a novice on this site. These are 2 of our grands with DSIL and Russell. I made the Ellie Badge and the Wilderness Explorers badges with bottle caps and glossy accents. This is from a Susan Stringfellow sketch. It feels so nice to be scrapping again.

Cute pages and projects ladies! We are headed out on an errand and then we're taking the kids to the pool at my sister in law's. Put together a page this morning while the little guy napped - I love it when a page comes together. Been wanting to do a washi page for a while now. Sorry, you're going to be seeing my 17 month old a LOT, as I'm working on his 1 year album Have a great weekend!
