The scrapping board seems so, so slow. Is there some other place people are heading? I haven't really tried paperclippingroundtable, is that more busy?
I really like NSBR here, but am looking for more scrapping options.
Thanks.

I'm new but i'm staying! scrapbook.com has boards also. I kind of like how here there's no store affiliation so we can talk about shopping, etc.

I've noticed things slowed way down here too. I wish there was a little more scrap chatter, but maybe it's just because people are busy getting back into their fall routines with school starting back up, etc. hopefully things will pick back up again soon!

I'm glad devildog asked because I've been wondering the same thing, too!

I noticed that to. I went over to sb.com and honestly I just don't like the set up on my phone. Hard to navigate for me and here is so much easier.

Natalie - aren't you on the other board? It's been super busy today and will be all weekend.

I have been wondering, too. I like it here, but I think the loss of a gallery and the Garden Girls(and their classes) has diverted people to other places. I must confess that I am still grieving over the sudden closure of TPs. I got so many good ideas from the gallery and loved taking classes, especially Shimelle's. All of the LSS have closed in my corner of the world, and I have a more difficult time keeping up with new paper releases, etc. Change is difficult sometimes.
I am currently working on some big travel albums. What are you Peas doing?

Well, I'm going to a scrap camp next weekend - Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon, and have been making some kits for all the layouts I plan to do. However, last weekend, I ordered some photos and was advised they were in the shop ready to collect. I went down today to collect them, thinking, cool - more kits to make up today and tomorrow - BUT they weren't in the shop (in fact, the staff told me I was mistaken about my email saying they would be ready....) so now, I feel I cannot pack properly now, due to after school stuff during the week, working and packing my clothes etc.... so that is and was my scrappy plans for the weekend.....

I am still here. I read more than I post. I, for one, am actually spending my time scrapping rather than reading boards these days. I do check in to a number of forums, but none seem to be hopping.

Thanks for the dose of perspective, regarding the other forums I mean. I am here and I am staying. I check in with some buddies on the Africa sub-section of Scr.com, but somehow their GS board is hard to love.

I don't plan on leaving here, I really like this forum. But the scrapping board moves really slow, so it just seems like there aren't a lot of people here.
rileyb: Yes, I'm a member of the other board. But, I think I'm still trying to find a place that I can call "home" and feel comfortable and welcome at.
I'm really thankful this board was set up, but I agree with jamh:
Maybe I'm just missing 2Peas a bit lately.

It does seem more quiet. I admit I am on less, but not because I'm elsewhere, just busy with life! I still really miss 2peas. It was my morning go to. I have been going to youtube for my video fix

I tried the Scrapbook.com boards and although I do like them they don't move that much faster than this one. I haven't been over there for a while since I feel more at home here but maybe I'll check it out later. I think that since scrapping is no longer a megacraft many boards have slowed. Sad.

I was more of a lurker at 2P's and I actually post more here. But, it's still not a lot.

I'm still here reading every day, sometimes posting. I think the message board dynamic is one that feeds on itself. If you come here to check in and the board hasn't moved much from the last time, you scan the headlines and leave again quickly. If you come here and there are, say, 10 new topics, you're likely to click through some of them and even comment. You think, "This is an active fun board and I want to participate!" Then the next person comes along and does the same thing, instead of clicking away when it's "dead."
So my thought is: Let's start posting more threads and responses! It'll feed on itself.
PS: What I notice is different about this GS board over 2Peas and other active boards is that active boards usually have 2 or 3 really active people who make an effort to keep things going.

I also think all the sub-boards are a detriment to this being an active board, at least until the board gets really hopping.

I'm still here and no plans of leaving The past two weeks have been busy and stressful so I haven't been around much, but I do remember that on 2Ps things would quiet down at certain times... Back to school was a big one... I'm sure it'll pick back up in a week or two once the countdown to Christmas starts and everyone has projects they want to make...

I am also guilty of reading more than posting. I don't think the paperclipping boards are any more active than here. I have noticed a few people often start new threads and I really appreciate the effort they are putting in.
I agree that it would be nice if there were fewer sub-boards. I used to read PL threads on 2Peas but never go to the separate board here so never contribute to those threads.

I agree with this, just my personal opinion, I think this board slowed dramatically when the sub boards were formed. I want to talk about all those things on the sub boards but I don't go to them. I prefer to just visit one board.

I also think all the sub-boards are a detriment to this being an active board, at least until the board gets really hopping. If it were all one board it probably would make this board appear more active. But would there actually be more chat about scrapbooking? I am a paper crafter but not a scrapbooker. The closest I come is making mini albums and I actually like the building of the album best. I do read this board but rarely post because it is geared to scrapbooking. The questions are usually worded in such a way that it is apparent that the answer should be scrapbook related. And they should be because this is a scrapbook board. If you look at the numbers there are way more readers than posters. Maybe a lot are like me and they don't scrapbook or maybe they just want someone else to post so they can read. I have not been in favour of all one board because I would have to wade through a lot of post that don't apply to me personally but I do that on the RSBR board so I guess I could do it here too. And who knows maybe if it looked busier more people would get around to posting.

That's a good point, and I definitely I fit right into that, lol. I'll make a conscious effort to participate more. Like I said above, I think I'm really just missing 2Peas. I was pretty active over there, and am still feeling lost. I know it wasn't for everyone, but I loved it there, felt comfortable there, etc. It really was my happy place; I just have to find a new one.

I came here after 2P's and am going to stay. I've lurked at other mb's, but this is the place that has the most "2P's" feel, if you know what I mean. I'm trying to do my best to participate, even on the NSBR!

I kept thinking about this, and I think not having a gallery and videos affects it too... Anytime there would be a video posted, there'd always be threads about how, what do you use, can I use this instead, etc... I know with the gallery, if I saw something I liked and wanted to know how to do it, I'd start a thread... There was a lot of subject material that we were all seeing...
