sleepingbooty thanks for that site. I downloaded the xmas plants and hope they have something round so I don't have to make a circle/wreath. Also, sorry everyone for all the posts. My computer has been crazy and I can't do multiple right now. I'm getting a new one!

Jeez Louise sleepingbooty, I think we should put you in charge of creating a digital kit from all the cool designs you find for us. I love it all !!! It's a follow-along kit. You've got to keep up with this thread to get all the elements... Enabling the no spend on a scrap board, who'd have thought? So glad you're loving all the freebies. Scrapbook.com just uploaded a simple stories video Thanks so much for sharing! Jenna did an amazing job and was weaving in product demonstration (and temptation) seamlessly in her demo. I think this was very much on brand for Simple Stories: easy, simple, inclusive and good guidance through the creation process. A step up from Layle, actually. I'm certain this will sell quite a few of the very reasonably priced Simple Stories Christmas kit to crafters.

So I am playing around with DD today and tried out the Pretty Little Studio minc cards. I am really disappointed. I minc'd them like I always do and when they come out, you can see where there is transfer toner on the card. Booo.

So, I was browsing Asos and... A Christmas card that is an Advent calendar of British festive swear words and insults. Do you know how tempted I am to order it just to read what's behind all 24 windows? Inspiration for the turkey tits more *adventurous* December documenters: ETA: They got the scrapbook industry beat when it comes to the Christmas wrap pun designs, too. I need that. Oh my gosh. Love it!!!

So what I think I’m gonna do to salvage the package is scan them in & reprint them myself with toner. Then minc ‘em.

mom Oh, that's super crappy! You should not have to scan + reprint a physical product you bought. Did it work out in the end?

FIVE weekends left until December, m'ladies! Every weekend until December starts, this thread will post a couple of prep challenges for you to get ready in time for "the big month." For those wanting to document through the month, this prep can be a matter of DD/JYC survival. If you've done this month-long project before, you know what I mean. For anyone else, it's a great way to not get overwhelmed after the fact if you're documenting your December 2019 memories next year. Challenge 1: Make a list and check it twice! Take a piece of paper, a pen, your planner or all the emails + invites you've already received and start writing out all the events and special things you'll be attending or hosting this year. Work christmas parties, children's plays, visiting a local Christmas market, going to the tree lot, roadtrip to see the family, Christmas shopping session with a friend, date night, etc. Mark👏it👏down👏 ALL of it. Start getting a feel for how busy you'll be, when you're most likely to have time off weekly (daily?) to work on your album if you'll be doing it through December, which themed embellishments/sentiments you'll need most of to complete your project. Challenge 2: Ordering online? Still want something or hesitant? This is the weekend to start narrowing down your final DD/JYC purchases. If you still want something from a collection, you should think about ordering now before it sells out or before the delivery madness of December begins. Bring all your DD/JYC/December documenting supplies together in one neat pile and take a look at it. Do you have enough? Are you still missing something? Did you take a look inside your album to check your page protectors and whether all your rings are closing well? Any defects with recently purchased items should get corrected ASAP with customer service before the holiday rush. Get your logistics and practical planning cap on!

Darn, I missed today’s Peachy Cheap Christmas embossing folders. Maybe they’ll show up at Tuesday Morning. Lots of cute patterns that go with any paper line.

sleepingbooty - that is gorgeous - I love the kraft and how versatile it is -there are pieces I see using for camping/hiking/wildlife, pieces that'll work for Christmas, and some that'll work for everyday. Good thing it probably isn't available here. I really like the Euro scrap asethetic

I need to get out Xmas paper and make my list of what’s happening in December! There are a couple of events on Facebook that have multiple days (like a play we want to see). This will really help! My daughter is in a ballet/dance show. Very excited to add that to the list. I also need to bite the bullet and buy what’s in my scrapbook.com cart—all supplies I will need. So thank you!

Thanks sleepingbooty for the challenges! I *love* having a list to work off of! I am also adding some to the two things you have given us to work on. I am making it my goal to get Sept. PL done and (hopefully) get October OLW done. Both are doable if I quit window shopping online!

I know Doodlebug's aesthetic isn't the most popular for December scrapping around here, but wondering if anyone will be using their stuff, or wants to? I have some die cuts, mostly the "chit chat" ones, left over from Christmas Town, last year's collection. Since Doodlebug keeps the same colorway each year they should coordinate with the new collection if you're using that. I pulled out all the ones that are intended for scrapbooking (that don't work for my cards) and I'd love to send them to a new home. I got them free in a giveaway, so I'll RAK them to whoever can use them. PM me if you're interested Wanted to give you DD folks first dibs before I make a RAK post on the FSoT board.

It might be cute in appearance but in my experience the chocolate in ‘cheap’ advent calendars leaves quite a lot to be desired even for this milk chocolate loving American. If you get it you’ll have to review the chocolate for us. lol

If you get it you’ll have to review the chocolate for us. lol At $2, I’m not expecting quality. Lol You can carefully open the calendar flap, pull out the tray, unmould the chocolate, clean + properly dry the tray, get your bain marie on, melt a decent-ish milk chocolate like the Lindt Excellence Extra Creamy, pour the melted chocolate into the tiny moulds with a tea spoon, refrigerate the tray until the chocolate hardens and then slip the tray back into the cute packaging. Done. You can be a snob and have your cute Disney sh*t. (very my brand) Ok who is a travel agent? I need to schedule plan my European scrap store tour. I think I need a professional to help me plan lol That's a very niche travel package...

I don’t do countdown calendars but I’m starting this year! You're going to love it. We have our daily chocolate with our morning cappuccino. It's one of the few December things that keeps me going on those dark, gloomy late autumn mornings. That rundown to the first day of winter is so depressing to me so I'll take anything that helps me feel better about those days.

those gnomes are adorable - good thing I'm not near an Ikea
So I bought an album today for DD - so I guess that means I'm committed - now the trick seems to be finding page protectors (I posted separately looking for suggestions). Guess the album was on clearance for a reason, lol.
