My fellow Christmas crafters, it is with utter disappointment in myself and my calendar-keeping skills that I must inform you all that we are already a day late with the December Daily MEGAAA thread this year. The shock, the horror! (I know *hangs head in shame*) Please pass the smelling salts to your fellow sisters and try not faint before they make it to you... Time to get our jingle on and start saving ALL the pennies to buy new Christmas scrappy stuff. Because whose Christmas stash isn't already overflowing and taking over the craft room, right? As usual, this thread will be updated as the sneaks are revealed. I'll do my best to keep up with all the information but please, don't hesitate to give me a shout in here with any news regarding December documenting kits and products that I might have overlooked. For traditional SB lines, take a look at the 2019 Christmas collections thread. Anyone documenting Christmas is welcome here. Whether you're doing a few LOs, a full-on December Daily album, a TN insert, a mini album, just looking but not buying this year, this is your place for all the hot December craft gossip, motivation, encouragement, decision-making, silly Christmas banter and whatnot. Get your Starbucks seasonal drink and find a comfy spot to come type and chat away with us. I LOVE this thread. I have been cleaning out my scrap-room. The ONLY papers I had a hard time getting rid of were some of my Christmas papers. Trust me, I still kept plenty. I am wanting to make my own book this year. I will be using the Heidi Swapp Winter Wonderland collection as well as some Pink Paislee Together for Christmas. Book I want to make is at the 3:40 markAlso, I was VERY disappointed in the Together For Christmas 6x8 pad. The 12x12 papers have the most beautiful deep blue color. All of the vibrancy of the deep blue was taken out in the pad and you are left with a very dull, sad blue IMHO.

Question: How do you get Youtube videos to show? All I could do was link it. Thanks.

They tend to be good when it comes to shipping out replacements just in case it's a printer error. I do know there are often problems with washed out colours in the smaller paper pads compared to the 12x12 pads and individual sheets. It seems like they're sourced from different printers. Re: embedding videos. Click on the "Reply" button in the upper right corner of the "Quick Reply" option at the bottom of the thread. A larger reply window will appear with more options to choose from. Click on the video icon (little black clapperboard) and a little window will pop open. Paste your video URL and hit the "Insert video" button. Voilà!

Yay, I'm excited!! I really love a couple of the holiday collections (Heidi Swapp and Photo Play), tempted to just use those with an album from one of the above. So torn.

I’m so ready for this. I didn’t buy new stuff last year and I’ve used up a whole bunch of Christmas stash.

I have bought small pads in the past and know the color isn't as vibrant, but this pad was overly non-vibrant.

First Ali Edwards official DD sneak, these large (bottle cap-ish) matte (I assume) embossed puffy stickers (pardon my literal French for the screenshot ): Also, PSA to remind everyone that Simple Stories releases a yearly large spine "universal" 2-ring 6x8 album that is compatible with loads of 6x8 page protectors (Simple Stories, Becky Higgins, Echo Park, etc.). This year's is a very classic holly wreath design from their new Country Christmas line (expected in August): Heidi Swapp is releasing a cheap alternative ($8) for DD this year with a holiday album kit in her Winter Wonderland collection. Here's a video in which she shows you her prepped December album using this kit:

It looks like the Tim Holtz Santa face.
I typically like rubber pieces, but these are an easy pass for me.

It looks like the Tim Holtz Santa face. Except in this version, a serial killer with a knife cut-out fetish has been to the North Pole... It looks like Santa's cheeks are about to fall out. The horror remake of the Nightmare Before Christmas (paging Dr. Skellinton ).

I think Santa face is the same art that has been used in previous years, it just looks a little different in rubber cut out form. I agree, the Santa is an easy pass. I do like the other pieces, but I'm not thrilled about large rubber pieces because they never seem to be great quality. I also am bothered that the "May your days be merry and bright" one is an arrow... it looks like a mistake, like it should be a rectangle. Too bad because I like the colors/sentiment on that one.
ETA: You can see the previous use of the Santa icon here. It was in a chipboard add-on for 2016. Scroll down to "stamps and coordinating products" and there is a small image but you can tell it's the same Santa.

I think Santa face is the same art that has been used in previous years, it just looks a little different in rubber cut out form. For anyone wondering, this vintage Santa is one of the vintage "jolly Santa" faces that are free of any copyrights and scanned + offered for free by the Graphics Fairy back in 2009. It's been used by several folks in the scrap industry since. If you want to download your own version for free to make your own die-cut, card or creepy-looking rubber piece, here it is (just use the erase tool in Photoshop to get rid of the arm):

I think you're right about it being a mistake. The first of many, Im sure. I checked again and lasteve1's right: the "Merry everyting" is properly centred for the entire red arrow. "May your days [etc.]" is centred to fit the rectangular box shape sans extra arrow ending. Good catch!

I have no idea what I’ll do for Christmas. I have easily 200 or more photos and 3 albums half started. It’s a project I can never fully commit to and complete. Maybe this will be the year I find my groove. But I’m here for all the hoopla that awaits us with sc/ae/dd.

I'm going down the December album with several years in it route. It's not as tedious or big a project as a single DD album (and cheaper too) but still as much fun (and you get to buy a new collection of goodies yearly anyway). I just document the memories from December all the way to the end of Epiphany as they happen without worrying about the daily aspect or the "finishing the album" routine, make my own page divider and start a new chapter in the same album the next year.

I'm not buying any paper stuff for DD! I'm just hoping that Geralyn comes out with some cute digitals this year. I have one set of IACB digital elements from 2015 or so, but I don't care for the other ones she has in the shop now. So crossing fingers and toes that this year's ones go well with the ones I already have. Maybe she'll do a collection for FYC too.
I'm excited that I don't have to worry about buying anything until Black Friday. I'm already having trouble with the idea that it's August!

Yay I'm excited to see this thread thanks sleepingbooty. Shouldn't buy anything this year because I have quite a large Christmas stash but might get tempted by an album and maybe some embellishments - definitely not that creepy santa though. Thanks for sharing the graphic sleepingbooty - maybe I'll make my own stickers and embellies.
