So I emailed AE about the rivets coming out not expecting much. Well they are sending me a new album. Yay! I am pleasantly surprised - no hassle, no bull$hit. Wow! That's great. I heard on the FB group that some people were just getting refunds because the albums had all sold out. What a great outcome! Im using the 4x6 album and they still had those in stock so no refund (which I am fine with as I just need an album). I pointed out in my convo with them - the messed up rivets are all across the range of albums, over several years. They apparently have a failure somewhere in their production and AE and Inked need to figure it out.

I hope it's ok for me to share, I've just uploaded the flip through of my 2018 album.
Caveat: I rushed into filming it and didn't really take some time to think about what I wanted to highlight and talk about so I spend more time talking about the events in the album than I would have liked. Ordinarily I prefer it to be more about the products and techniques.

I did send a photo and showed them so there wasn't much room for them to think I was trying to scam them. Im thinking my plan will be to use the broken album as my 'working' album and then when I am all done, switch them over to the good album. I dont want to risk the rivets breaking on the second album before I am done. About time!

I keep the broken albums and have used them to store extra page protectors... I have a 6x8 and a 9x12. Not sure how helpful a 4x6 will be in that respect. I also have a damaged 12x12 for those page protectors from BH... they had a different issue with the faux leather being loose and warped.

You have a beautiful family and I just loved your accent. When you mentioned Perth it made me think of INXS they are my favorite band and yesterday marked the 22nd year of Michael's passing.

Loved how you did an ombre effect on your #23 and love the Felicity Jane star shaker and your version of Amy Gretchen's Pull photo. Thank you for sharing -- so much inspiration!

ONE weekend left until December, m'ladies! UH-UH, you heard me right: next weekend, we'll be stepping into December. Start freaking out! Every weekend until December starts, this thread will post a couple of prep challenges for you to get ready in time for "the big month." For those wanting to document through the month, this prep can be a matter of DD/JYC survival. If you've done this month-long project before, you know what I mean. For anyone else, it's a great way to not get overwhelmed after the fact if you're documenting your December 2019 memories next year. Challenge 7: Test your equipment. Yep, we've all been there and realised a little late something wasn't working, something needed tuning. This is the weekend to give everything you haven't tested or used in a while a workout. Print a photo, check your fuse tool, warm your heat gun, run something through your Minc or laminator, figure out how to use your sewing machine (yeah, I'm looking at *you* and you know who you are ), cut some files, etc. Good luck and don't panic if you hit a bump. The DD group is here to help. Challenge 8: Stay tuned for this special challenge! It's going to be different but also fun and exciting if you decide to play along (you know you want to). Hint: it includes an exclusive 31-day December *Photo* challenge (yep, you're getting TWO doses of December documenting prompts this year!) by yours truly who is now all prompted out.

I hope it's ok for me to share, I've just uploaded the flip through of my 2018 album. It's definitely ok. Heck, we *love* seeing each other's albums in here! Thanks so much for sharing. I just finished watching your video. Loved your album, all the white space and the full page photos showing you Christmas tree lit up with the regular shot on the front and the bokeh version on the back! Great idea. I agree that it would be a bit of a shame to take out the family trip TN from the finished album. Congrats on finishing that chunky book.

Am I the only one who noticed that KP has been MIA from IG for over a week on both accounts? No sneaks for Wednesday and no other heads up about the BF sale. I know we have the info, but it's odd that there's been no action on the shop page. It's so odd. I know she isn't a regular poster on her public KP IG but her KPshop account usually gets regular updates. So I emailed AE about the rivets coming out not expecting much. Well they are sending me a new album. Yay! I am pleasantly surprised - no hassle, no bull$hit. Inked's replacement policy has always been good, one of the few positives from my experience as a repeat Inked customer. Glad they haven't changed that policy and you'll get a new one to work with. But ugh, it's *really* time they fixed the issue. Everybody's going to be left with their SC and AE albums coming apart years down the line. Not good, not good at all.

Should be a laugh. *steps in the Cheesy Christmas Movie confessional* Forgive me, fellow bad holiday movie fanatics, for I have sinned... I never managed to finish A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding last year. I fell asleep on three separate occasions in front of it. The Royal Baby trailer looks delightfully terrible but oh my, I'm not sure I'll be able to sit through it (awake, anyway). In my defense, I just watched Netflix's The Knight Before Christmas which is the 2019 Christmas flick featuring Vanessa Hudgens. And it was everything cheesy and silly I could have *ever* hoped for in a holiday movie. I'm in fondue heaven! joblackford Is it me or are the Hallmark Christmas movies this year just bad and bland? I've been thoroughly disappointed so far. Very clunky, terrible dialogue, even decent TV stars like Chad Michael Murray couldn't save their movies. Even the usual Hallmark Christmas movie scenery is extremely disappointing (and overall lacking).

I watched "Holiday in the Wild" last night on Netflix. I don't recommend it, unless you like mutilated elephants in your holiday special. I think it was supposed to be more of a 'Hey, it's a holiday movie + informational movie all in one', but it failed horribly IMO.
I had such high hopes for Chris Traeger + Charlotte York romance, too.

Thankyou so much for all the YouTube / album love everyone! Can't believe it's only a week until December. I am not ready yet. My craft space is still in a state of disarray as I try to tidy up and reorganise everything. But I'm hoping to have it in a semi-functional state within the next few days so that I can start getting my 2019 DD supplies together. I'm still on the fence about whether or not I want to film my process as I'm putting the album together. Or if I just make the album, then share a flip through again when it's done.

Even the usual Hallmark Christmas movie scenery is extremely disappointing (and overall lacking). I felt the same way last year. I have barely managed to pay attention to a movie all the way through this year or last. I thought maybe it was me, but I can watch Candace CB and Paul Walker go on their stupid Christmas Detour endlessly, so I think there's something they're kissing lately. LOL I'm going to leave that Freudian typo in! Giant yawnfest lately, for me. I have the Kellie Pickler 2019 one on right now - I'm not a fan of her, I've seen almost all of it after 3 or 4 viewings now - I tend to wander off in the 2nd hour... Good to know that the Knight Before Christmas is enjoyable. I'm going to try to drag my SIL to Last Christmas over Thanksgiving. She should enjoy the music if nothing else. RIP George Michael We were together at Christmas when we heard he had died, so it seems fitting to see the movie together. I've been thinking about the movie since I saw it, so I'll be happy to watch it again.

I didn't even realise it was a "end of the year holidays" type of holiday movie until a few days ago. I thought it was just safari vacation romance movie... Is the African scenery appealing at least? We lived in South Africa for a bit when I was just born so this might actually be good for my mother to have on in the background while she knits if Netflix included loads of landscape shots. Good to know that the Knight Before Christmas is enjoyable. Look, if I don't spend the rest of the year hollering "old crone" whenever I see my mother, it'll be a miracle (makes me want to go watch some Monty Python now ). This is the first 2019 Christmas movie that made me giggle out loud and where there was some kind of chemistry between the lead actors. It hit some sweet spots for me and Josh Whitehouse impressed with his little looks and the wit and charm he injected into his character. I was also partial to the wardrobe choices in this flick (I'm very superficial like that when it comes to judging Christmas rom-coms ). I'm going to try to drag my SIL to Last Christmas over Thanksgiving. She should enjoy the music if nothing else. RIP George Michael We were together at Christmas when we heard he had died, so it seems fitting to see the movie together. Oh, how I wish I could go see it! It looks like most inner cities movie theatres aren't showing it here. One will but I'll have to go out of my way to get there and I'm just not sure I'll manage to talk myself into the detour during my busy December month. Maybe I will... I'll try! Wishing you two loads of fun for your sisterly movie date. Reminds me I still need to go see Frozen II that has been out here for a few days now. We're in the middle of major bad weather (official red alert for the current Mediterranean storm episode with 1,5 to 2 months of rain falling in just 24h, eep!) so I might not be up to brave the tail of the storm tomorrow to walk to the cinema. Ah, I'm already running behind on December and the month hasn't even begun yet.

marg, tfs the printables! Ugh, why don’t I listen to sleepingbooty when she gets us started? Thanks for keeping us on track, anyway! I am so not ready! Going out of town for a week at Thanksgiving. DD is having health issues so I’m going to take care of her in Portland the following weekend. Probably nothing serious, but I want to be there for her just in case. Other sucky things are going on, along with lots of good too. I’m trying to stay positive! I can deal with the negative stuff after Christmas. I don’t even know how I’m going to decorate, let alone do anything creative. Maybe once all of this traveling is behind me I’ll be more in the mood. Love seeing what you’re all creating!

oaksong Oh no, I hope things calm down over the next couple of weeks. Your poor DD, being sick during the holidays is extra sucky. Fingers crossed she feels better soon! Don't worry too much about decorating. There is enough pressure already. Take care of yourself, your loved ones and enjoy every moment you can. The holidays should be about being in the company of your favourite people first and foremost. It's 3AM here and I'm bowing out. We've had such a bad "Mediterranean episode" (heavy storm, winds and rain, typical of the autumn season around the Medi sea border) but fingers crossed we make it to the end of the weekend in one piece. We're fortunate to have the electricity still on, no mini tornado or evacuation (contrary to other folks). It's been worrying and stressful but it looks like the worse is just behind us (here's to hoping I didn't just jinx us!). Red alert, 2,5 to 3 months of rainfall in 48h, a couple of people people missing but things should start getting better in the next 12h. I don't think we can handle much more, to be honest: On the upside, I've done loads of work for the daily December prompts and am caught up on all the bad Christmas movies!

The bad elephant scene is at the beginning, so you once you get past that it's okay. I think the start of the movie, between the surprise divorce and then the poor elephant just set the tone for the whole movie for me. I can hold a grudge. Oh, fun fact, I watched "Knight Before Christmas" last night and the Netflix episode he's watching? "Holiday in the Wild"! My husband and I both yelled "we can't get away from that horrible movie!" I'm hoping I can find my all time favorite Hallmark "Hitched for the Holidays" on tv soon. I missed it last year.

Another good Peachy Cheap deal - $12.99 (snagged one - I know, I know....I said I was good, but...full size stamp sets get me EVERY TIME!) Naughty @zingermack! Have fun with your new goodies and double-check your puffy phrase stickers since AC have had quite a few faulty sets recently (adhesive + chipping "foil" paint issues). There is some beautiful scenery, but it's mostly Chris + Charlotte. I refuse to call them by their real names at this point. The bad elephant scene is at the beginning, so you once you get past that it's okay. I think the start of the movie, between the surprise divorce and then the poor elephant just set the tone for the whole movie for me. I can hold a grudge. That movie really unleashed your inner Grinch. Such a shame since Chris and Charlotte was a very swoony pairing. I'm still going to give it a go at some point, I think... Likely just to vet it before recommending it to my mother. Oh, fun fact, I watched "Knight Before Christmas" last night and the Netflix episode he's watching? "Holiday in the Wild"! My husband and I both yelled "we can't get away from that horrible movie!" Haha, there was some serious cross-advertising happening, I agree! Did you like this movie better than the mutilated elephant one or did your magic box not make any merry this weekend? People who like something a little more dramatic à la European storytelling (tagging joblackford), there's a new German Netflix limited series (just 3 episodes) called Holiday Secrets. It's about secrets in families and their effects on the different generations, how big they grow over time and become known to all, matrilineage, coming home for the holidays. Recommend the original version with subtitles if you don't mind.
