Eh, the are ok. I never order clothes from amazon, except for my scrubs. They have a lot of polyester in them, and super cheap, so that personally would worry me. But I hope it works out for you! I would normally agree with you and haven't bought many clothes from Amazon. But they all had a lot of reviews that were positive where people showed pics of them wearing them, which I appreciated. Some of the people were short as well so that helped me feel more confident that the length might work. I also typically only wear a dress once so really don't want to spend a lot if I don't have to. Last year my stepbrother got married and I bought a WHBM dress that someone here found. I loved it and was excited to wear it, and thought it would look good in the pics with other family members who were in the wedding party. Well, I didn't end up being in any formal family pics. I am still irritated with that for more reasons than the dress...but, anyway. If this wasn't the same side of the family as that wedding, I would just wear that dress again. As it stands, I will probably never have another occasion to wear it and it was $$$. I will probably keep looking unless one of the Amazon ones are great, but at least if one is decent I will know I have something. With this info, I’d wear the dress again. Even if someone remembered the dress from last year, 5 years from now there won’t be any photographic proof and they will have long forgotten.

There are pictures that were taken with my camera (me and my sisters and me with my stepmom, etc). I assume we would take the same type of pics at this wedding, along with other family pics.

Wear the dress that you have. Why spend the $$ if you already have something in your closet.
Put on a smile and you will look great!

Hell, I would wear the same dress. Do you really think they are going to remember what you wore at the last wedding? and esp since no pictures? If you spent money on it, and feel good in it. I'd wear it. Be Tiffany Haddish!! LOL! Do you remember what other's wore to the last wedding? I agree, but it reminds me of my mother-in-law, who wore the same outfit that she wore to my wedding (June 1987) to my niece's wedding (October 2017).

If it bothers anyone, that's on them, not you. Save your money, rock the dress, and ignore the haters.

OP clearly want a new dress, or she wouldn't be asking for help finding one. I hope one of the ones you ordered works because then you can stress about shoes!

That’s quite a bit different than just one year in between. Maybe she was going for the nostalgia factor!

Macy's, Kohl's, JCPenney, CJ Banks. Those are the only stores in town that carry petites that I can think of. I agree with OP-go to MOA. The Macy's at MOA has tons more dresses than any other location.

My MIL wore a dress to our wedding in 1996 and wanted to wear it again to a cousin's wedding in 2015. I asked her why she still had the dress. It was a prairie print bib collared ugly out of style dress in 1996!

It is probably more of my own issue than someone else's. For one thing, I thought last years dress looked better than I do now that I see the pics that were taken with my phone. But also I just have a thing about not wearing the same dress to back to back occasions that the same people will be at. Would I care if anyone else did that? No. Would I do it if I can't find anything I liked better? Probably. It's good to know that others don't care about this, in case I end up needing to wear the previous dress. And yes, now I need to figure out what undergarments work best (Spanx vs the Target version of Spanx?) and shoes.

I would do everything I could to find a new dress, with the thought of last years dress being there if you can’t find anything else. I’m not technically a petite (I’m 5’4), but my body composition works better with petite. My short legs do me in with dress lengths. I used Amazons Prime Wardrobe to find a dress last year for my nieces wedding. I felt like I could really, truly check the dresses out trying them on at home. Personally, I haven’t found a difference with Spanx to other brands. I usually get my fat suckers (family nickname for them!) from Kohl’s.
