Girls, as much as @bergdorfblonde had going on getting ready for surgery tomorrow, plus life happening, not only did she make time for me, she offered and INSISTED I stay at her house when my flight was canceled. I waffled - who wants a stranger in their house for 3 whole days? But accepted because she was so adamant.
As I went to check out I discovered that my room was paid for extra days (I went through hotels.com and there must have been a glitch somewhere) so I didn’t need to. We hoped to get together one more time but weren’t able to make it happen.
I ended up having a grand adventure, making the most of my unexpected extra time in FL. But it made me feel even better knowing there was a friend close by. And she’s offered to be a point of contact for dd.
@bergdorfblonde is an absolute doll and I’m so thankful to have gotten to know her a bit IRL.
And thank God I arrived home today! No issues except my ride to the airport didn’t show up (one of the school employees) and they had to track him down - his alarm never went off! All was well in the end. I got to the airport with enough time to pee and get something to eat before boarding.

jenjie : THANK YOU! You're making me tear up! I felt badly that the timing was crazy for me, but I'm SO grateful we met and I met a new friend. You are a doll, and an inspiration for many reasons!! Glad you're back home, safe & sound, and that you had an interesting week! You do make the best of everything, which is something a lot of us could aspire to do!! xo
