Admittedly I haven't been stamping as much as I used to but I felt like making a card or 2 last night so I dug out some if my SU sets. I was so frustrated with the fact that they wouldn't stay attached to my acrylic block or my TH stamping platform! I think I ruined 2 or 3 papers when the inked up stamp fell off and landed on my page! I even had put a swipe of adhesive on the back! WTH? I'm so tempted to just get rid of all my SU stamps because they suck andnit shouldn't be this frustrating!

Ugh!, sorry. I agree with you it's so frustrating. I hardly ever cling stamps because of this.

I put a very small amount of Aleene's Tack-It Over and Over on mine, spread it around, and let it dry. Now they don't fall off. If, over time, it wears off, you can do it again.
I also read something about putting some kind of film on the block, and that would help, but I haven't tried that. Maybe someone else knows about that.

SU had to change their cling stamps because of this problem, but djc is right. A little Aleene’s Tack-It-Over-and-Over on the back will correct the issue.

If you added the index stickers to the back, that's the problem. I never had difficulty with the cling, but I also never put the stickers on.

I have the index stickers on so that's probably a factor. But if you don't have the stickers his in the world do you see what you're stamping? Seriously if TH can have rubber stamps that are cling mounted what's the deal?

Seriously if TH can have rubber stamps that are cling mounted what's the deal? If you take the stickers off, then stamp the images on card stock and put that paper within the stamp case.

Seriously if TH can have rubber stamps that are cling mounted what's the deal? Well, I personally feel like I can get it close enough just from the shape/outline of the stamp, but I know that doesn't work for everyone. I usually stamp once or twice on scrap paper to get a feel for how I'm aligned on the block, then take my chances. But I also never found the stickers all that useful because if you didn't get them on exactly right, the image didn't help you know where to stamp anyway. But a lot of people had the exact same response you did. The new stickers are supposedly much, much better at sticking to the blocks.

I tried non-tinted chap stick a few times on the sticker before I put it on my acrylic block. That helped. Didn't completely solve the problem, especially when I'd clean, but much less random dropping off the block.

Before I started using the cling foam on my rubber stamps I used the tack it over and over. It seems like it would work well on clear stamps as well. At least your stamps are usable. I had to throw out a bunch of old ones (not SU) since they got mushy and pretty much no longer had any shape.
