I had a lengthy case of pneumonia that resisted antibiotics, and I had to pretty much stay in bed for four months till they found an antibiotic that would kill it. I read a lot of books, but as much as I love to read, my eyes started to hurt a lot, and even reading got old since I had to stay in bed and had nothing else to do but read, eat, and sleep.
Three weeks wouldn't be as bad as four months, although I think I would have a hard time with the worry about whether or not I would get the disease.

I'm sure I would get a little stir crazy at a certain point, but after 10 days without power after Sandy a 21 day quarantine with all the modern comforts (sans fear of serious illness, as someone else mentioned) sounds doable.

I did it last year with my four young children. I came down with shingles and it put my 5 month old at risk for chicken pox. Granted, I'm a SAHM who homeschools so it wasn't that much out of the norm - but it was not fun. No library, errands, park or social activities for weeks. We did spend a lot of time in the backyard. My husband took care of groceries etc. It wasn't a peaceful escape from the rest of the world. I'm an introvert and I totally get the appeal of that!
Of course shingles/chicken pox isn't Ebola. Thankfully my case was very mild but it was stressful to think about my little baby possibly getting CP. (so grateful that she did not) There was no way I was going to risk putting anyone other babies etc at risk just because I wanted us to get out of the house.

I would be fine - the rest of the family would go stir-crazy. I'm very much a homebody and have plenty at home to entertain myself.

I'm pretty sure that I'd have to have some work boxed up and UPS'd over to me; I can't afford (workload wise) three weeks out of work!
I wonder if "quarantine" would prohibit me from stepping outside onto the patio for a few minutes each day. I think not physically leaving my space for three weeks would be the worst part.

as long as I was in my own home with my scrapbooking stuff and my ipad and could download books from Amazon, and access the internet, I say bring it on! LOL! I also prefer to get paid while in quarantine.

I think I would actually enjoy it quite a bit. My DH and kids would go stir crazy, but I have a list a mile long if all the projects that need to be done around here. As long as we could get grocery delivery and an A.C. Moore care package delivered, I'd be good.

It would be a blessed vacation. I would sleep so much the first 2 or 3 days. I would watch lots of netflix, read, and scrapbook. It would be pure bliss for many days! I have enough processed crap to eat too. It would be awesome if it were only me being quarantined. ETA: I'm not worried about ebola.

I always think I'd like a few days to be stuck at home... until I have a few days stuck at home. Then I start wanting to go and do a lot. Haha.
But, if I had to do a stint like that, I could. I'd tackle some big project to make the time pass easier.

Assuming I was not sick with Ebola, I'd probably enjoy it if I could have food delivered and TV and internet!
ETA - and books!

If someone could deliver fresh food at least once a week, I would probably do ok as long as I have an internet connection, tv I could probably survive. by the end of it I probably would be ready to go places

I'd be fine I have plenty to do, but I'd have a lot of pissed off clients. Unless I could edit files at home. lol. Also our business would go in the toilet. oi.

I was home bound for three weeks after I was hospitalized due to my immune system mimicking leukemia. I couldn't go out because I would have been at risk for catching everything. It sucked, but I didn't dare leave home. However, the worry of Ebola and not seeing my family would be hard.

I'm sure I'd still be required to write lesson plans for a sub. Other than that, I'd be a pretty good hermit.

It depends on whether it's just me or if my family would be there too.

Seriously, I'd be fine. As long as we had food, I would enjoy spending hours and hours on my hobbies. With the internet and books and TV, I think I would really like it.

I'd be fine with Internet and my sewing machine. My DH would lose his mind on day 2--if he made it that long.

Depends on who's quarrantined with me. Three of my sons would be just fine. My 20yo autistic son would not like having his wings clipped for 3 weeks. If my husband wasn't with me I don't know if I could do it.

Depends on the conditions, in our home, with the dogs, access to the back yard (only), a method for getting a few perishables restocked... NOT A BIG DEAL. In a facility somewhere, no access to many things...

As long as fresh food was being delivered we'd be okay. I like being home and can entertain myself.
The only thing that would be hard is not being able to go out to dinner on Saturdays and not seeing friends.

I think I'd be ok. I like my alone time. It's just DH, the dog and me, so as long as the dog could get outside to do his business....
We have enough food in the house to tide us over for 21 days but someone would have to deliver wine. I have lots of craft supplies.
Yes, I sure could do it.

I'd be ok for about three days. That is how long it would take for the novelty of "I get to spend all my time reading and knitting and watching tv" to wear off for me. I love walks, going to the library, and otherwise getting out. I wouldn't go nuts, I do not think, but I wouldn't be happy after the first few days.
Also I do not know how much stuff they will give you to do in quarantine, considering that if you do get sick they may have to nuke it all.

My house would be very clean and I'd have piled to declutter and donate. I'd spend a lot of time scanning photos in case they would be ruined if I had the virus and they had to decontaminate my house.

I took a bad fall down some icy stairs 7 years ago and broke my tibia in a couple of places, tore up my ankle, injured my other leg, etc. etc. Anyway... I was non-weight bearing for 3 months and found crutches to be nearly impossible due to all my injuries. I only got out of the house twice in that time for drs. appts. I kept myself occupied with reading and television more than anything. It wasn't as bad as it sounds and I know I could do 21 days easily. The worry would do me in though!

Not well...unless I'm quarantined in my craft room so I don't go stir crazy.

I wouldn't mind it at all so long as someone was bringing food a couple of times a week. And honestly, I'd prefer to spend that time alone because the rest of my family would go stir crazy, which would then drive me crazy.

Yeah, I agree with you there - the worry would suck. And I'm a major worrier.
