So with lots of talk lately about everyone wanting a gallery I wanted to toss out 2 options to see if anyone would be interested.
Option #1- Instagram... I would make a whole acct just for Refugees. Those with Instagram accts will be able to follow the page and see everyone's work..."like" and comment on work. What you would do is upload your work onto your own acct and hashtag using #(name of page) then @(name of page) this will allow me to repost the work onto the Refugee page. This will only work if your Instagram acct is PUBLIC...I can't repost from a private acct.
Option #2 Pinterest- I can make a Refugee Pinterest acct. you would need to follow this page so I can add you to a group board which would then allow you to upload your own work. Once you are following the page you will then see everyone's work on your news feed when they upload.
So that's just me tossing out ideas if anyone is interested.

Both are great ideas!
There's also flikr groups as another possibility. They are free too.

I like Pinterest because then it's easy to pin images to my own boards so I can easily find them later.

I also like the Pinterest idea! I think a lot of people already use it to Pin scrapbook ideas & pages, making it an easy transition to add a "2 Peas Gallery". Thanks for brainstorming and pulling this together!

I came on to post something very similar, just to find this thread I would definitely not recommend Instagram, simply because that relies on the owner of the account reposting, rather than the posters doing it themselves. I know numbers aren't huge now, but if we grow again (as I hope we will) it could become unmanageable. I was going to suggest a Flickr group, but I can see how Pinterest could definitely work. One thing to consider - can a Pinterest account be passed over to someone else intact if the original starter can't maintain it? I know with Flickr that's definitely possible (and i think automatic if the group starter leaves it). On that basis I'd be more than happy to start a Flickr group. As we've got time (unlike when the bucket shut down) it's as well to look at the pros and cons of all our options. I wish I could do more here, but even if there was a way to have a usable format, we'd either have to purge or pay towards extra space eventually, and neither of those are satisfactory. |

I voted for Pinterest because I already go there. I would not go to the others unless maybe someone put a link to something specific. And even then if there got to be a lot of links I would probably skip them.
But with Pinterest when I go on ta da there is everything people would like me to see. And I would look at everything.

Just to add, the more I think about it, Pinterest seems like the way to go: you have the ability to have multiple boards on one account which gives the opportunity for better organisation than any of the others. I know the OP has offered to set up an account, and I don't want to step on any toes but as I already have a 2peasrefugees email address I'd be more than happy to set it up using that. On the other hand, Im delighted if someone else wants to take on the work  |

Unfortunately, I don't use Pinterest, but DO use Instagram. So, it wouldn't be of any help to me to have a Pinterest page. It looks like that is the majority vote, though, but that's okay.

Personally I was leaning more towards Pinterest myself because I having to repost onto IG was going to be a pain for me but I would do whatever group wanted in the end. With Pinterest all that needs to be done is inviting people to group board once that's done on that end then people control their own uploads which I like. admin it's completely you're call. You can start it up if you feel more comfortable ..no toes will be stepped on  or I can if you would rather. I didn't want to put more work on anyone else. I just figured some kind of gallery is better than nothing. If you decide you want me to start one up I was planning on sending you a message with password info in case I do a major hair flip out of this place (kidding lol) you will be able to take over. Or hand it off to someone else. Either way just let me know |

Flickr would be my first choice but Pinterest works too and seems to be the majority vote. I don't use Instagram and won't use it.

I like Pinterest too. Does someone have to compile a list of people? I haven't done a scrapping layout in ages, but I've made cards.
Please let us know how to be included. I have pinned some things, and followed one, although I don't totally understand the following part.
Add me to the list if you're creating one!
