dasmith2 , that is the sweetest layout. I love the distressed edges and love, love, love the stenciling behind your photos. I hope this helps get your mojo back. Wonderful job on this! I caught up with the rest of page 1 and 2 in the gallery.

I have two layouts that I finished from my big crop weekend in September. They are both Quick Quote page kits with some little modifications. I have many photos of just my DH and myself that I want to scrapbook, but they are not really events but will work well for these themed style layouts.

This layout is for the Wacky Holiday challenge - Plush Animal Lover's Day. I used the 'Be A Unicorn' kit by Bella Gypsy, and a Scrapbook Generation sketch. I actually made about 7 of the Care Bear flairs with all the different bears (using the extract feature in Photoshop, which is the digital equivalent of fussy cutting  ) but I ended up taking them off the page, along with a lot of other stuff. If you think it looks busy now, you shoulda seen it before!! Commenting on page 2 and page 3 to here... sleepingbooty , those are really fun cards. Love the inked backgrounds and that bear witch is just too cute for words! Sorry you are feeling down, dasmith2 . Hope that crafting is helping to elevate your mood. The love on that beautiful page is palpable. I like all the layering from the stenciled background to all those hearts tucked in. Sweet photos, too. And that baby LO is darling. Love for page 2 -sleepingbooty I just love those cute little ghosts on card 1 and that inky background on card 2 is beautiful! Love that bear too lol. Whoever is getting all these cards from this challenge are lucky! dasmith2 Wow! I love this page! The distressed edges, the colors, and that cluster. Your photos are so precious! 8 Halloween cards: I started singing this song to myself during Halloween skeleton animal cardmaking last year and then had the idea to make cards of it (a Friends reference that I hope most people recognize!). I will probably add a note inside that says "it's not your fault!" (btw I'm keeping this picture set to private so my friends don't see it on Flickr before they get it in the mail.)  I printed the text using Photoshop and added the cats (Michaels skeleton animals stamp from 2018, cut with SNC). I'm still figuring out which text style I like and what copyright free font/lettering I can use to be able to sell this. Fall cards: sorry about the weird light on these. I made 22 cards yesterday, destined for my shop, once I figure out how to group them. Two sets of 6 cards (3 fall leaf cards and 3 mason jar/mouse cards). The papers are from Doodlebug, an older fall collection I got in a "seasons" bundle. Random inherited cardstock for mat layer.  Fall card sets by jo.blackford, on Flickr left: offcuts cards using leftovers from another set of cards I made. The sentiments are from a cut apart sheet. right: 4x6 cut aparts from the same Doodlebug fall collection that was part of the "seasons" bundle I bought. Slightly trimmed to fit on cards with little scrap banner details. A magazine had an article about recreating photos from our own childhood. Way to late for me to do that for myself, but when we found a photo of my three dgd's from 8 years ago, I thought "Why not?" And the girls were more than happy to play along. I need to learn how to make the insta cube card. You've made some amazing cards for challenge #6 and #7. AussieMeg Those farm photos are so sweet! The plush animals doesn't look too busy, the soft colors along with glitter embellishments is so care beary! dasmith2 Great clusters and you can use flowers while you can. I have a hard time doing so with my sons, very few boy layouts do well with flowers! LOL  |

dasmith2 , I love the flowers on this boy page. I think they look great and boys like flowers too. I love that little pocket with the tag and also the inking you have done on this project. Pretty pages. Your kitty page is cute. I love all the kitty cat papers you have used. I’m sure Moose likes to nap in the scraproom because it’s where you are. Sweet. Linda , I think sometimes we forget that it’s as hard on the younger ones when a sibling leaves home as it is on mom and dad. I’m glad they got some time together before she left. Great page to remember that.~ I love that you scrapped her first time to vote. That will be so important to her in years to come.

Did you mean the Xs that are actually on the edge of the white piece rather than the background paper of Xs? That looks like a kind of stitched/decorative die to my eye. Is that right Dictionary ? I love all the stitched and pierced rectangle dies. They make cards look so classy. |
