Anyone else have problems having their amazon points show when placing an order?
In the past, for the 14+ years that I have used the amazon card with my purchases at amazon, when I place an order I am offered the choice of using my points or not. I save the points until it is worth my while to use them. Sometimes I have less than a dollar in points and I don't use the points until it is worth my while.
I used all my points on October 2nd. Since then I have purchased about $75 worth of merchandise, which would give me some points, but I am not seeing those points reflected when I placed an order a few minutes ago. I also have a couple of monthly fees charged to this card, so I always get points almost as fast as I spend them.
I spoke with some (idiot) at Chase who insists that I won't have any points available until the end of the billing cycle. ..that I only see those points after a billing cycle.
So, either I have been miraculously lucky and only placed orders between billing cycles or Amazon/Chase have changed their procedure.
Is anyone else having this little bump in procedures?

I NEVER use points for a purchase. Redeem them as statement credit at Chase.
You are using points to pay for something that could have earned you even more points. Let the statement credit pay for it instead.

I have two rewards cards linked at Amazon. Neither is from Chase, but neither one allows me to access new points until the close of the billing cycle. (That is, the new balance doesn't show on Amazon until the cycle closes.)

We have a Chase Amazon account. New points never show up until after the cycle is done. I will use them as statement credit a couple times a year.

I have a Chase Amazon card which is only used for purchases on Amazon. They appear in my account once a month. scrappinghappy these points are different than other CC points. They may only be used for purchases at Amazon. I have a different rewards card which I use for all my other purchases. Those I redeem for travel at a rate of $1.25 per point rather than $1 if I made a retail purchase with them.

My Chase Amazon points do not show up right after a purchase. I see them at the end of a billing cycle.

I have a Chase Sapphire account and those points show up once per month. The Amazon purchase points have shown up on the amazon site every day up until now.

I have a chase amazon card. My reward points only show up after the billing cycle. It’s been that way for years.

My points show up after the end of the billing cycle. Sometimes I have unused points from the previous month.

Here's what I see during checkout at Amazon and then when I log into Chase, next to my balance on the card it says Amazon Prime rewards, see balance. If you click on the "see balance" is pops up your balance and says redeem underneath. Click on redeem and you can choose redeem rewards or shop with points. Choose redeem rewards and it takes you to the Chase Loyalty sight. There you can choose how to redeem your points. Choose cash back and you can add the money to your amazon card or deposit into another acct. Attachments:

I've only ever seen points available to use after the billing cycle ends. I've had the chase Amazon card for years.
ETA: I've never been able to use them in any way other than Amazon purchases. The option for cash back or a statement credit isn't given in my account online.

I have 2 other active cards with chase and both do earn points that I can use for cash back or statement credits. When I click redeem it only shows the points from those 2 accounts. Not my Amazon card account.

I have the Chase Amazon Rewards card and the points only show up after the billing cycle for me. But I also only receive points for the amount of my credit card bill I’ve paid. So if my card still has a balance I will receive those points after I pay more.

here's my balance on Chase loyalty, exactly the same as my Amazon rewards. Wow, you are right. In the past I've tried to use them for cash back or statement credits, and even called to find out how to do that, only to be told I could only use them to shop on amazon. I don't know if different accounts got changes at different times but I can use mine now for cash back. I had to click where it says "see balance" (in my chase online account), then choose "redeem" and "see details". It then takes me to a page where I can choose between shop with amazon, gift card, travel, or cash back/statement credit. I'll probably continue to use them to shop on amazon but it's nice to have the other options.

I have a Chase Sapphire account and those points show up once per month. The Amazon purchase points have shown up on the amazon site every day up until now. Me too!!! I thought it was weird because I ALWAYS have points when I go online and this time I had '0'. So I looked into my account and sure enough the purchases were showing points but they weren't hitting the amazon acct. Thank you for posting this - thought I was going nutso.

Maybe there are different types of accounts? On mine it clearly says that the points I've accumulated since my last statement will add to my account after the next statement. eta: from my amazon account

Must have been 2 types of points....and apparently either amazon or the bank have changed the process.
For the 14 years I have had the amazon card, each time I wanted to purchase, I had a notification alongside the purchase screen asking if I wanted to use my points. If I said yes, the points were applied to that purchase.
Now, no points are showing on the screen.

Another thing missing....I have a pending amount in a gift card, and that is not showing up either. Usually that shows and I am given the opportunity to spend it. Now I will have to copy/paste the card information when I want to use it.
