No. The local affiliates switch to local programming at 11CST. The larger markets where they're broadcasting from usually have some televised event that's going on that has some variation on a ball drop, so they run that for the 11-midnight hour.

some stations show the local fireworks.. some just show vegas or new york..

The local station cuts to local news at 10 (12 eastern) and then replays the 11-12 hour so thatit runs our time.
If I want to watch the ball drop love, I put it on CNN.

And pitbull's new year eve thing will play from 11:30-12:30 locally, but does not play live

Don't bother with the eastern stuff. The ball rerun is stupid IMO. We watch things that are done relatively local. Fireworks etc.
