I can't believe I just spent 2 hours tonight and over an hour last weekend on 1 layout. How lame is that??!! Oh well I need to just accept that I am a slow scrapper. At least I like how it turned out.  |

I keep a recycle trash bin as well as a regular trash bin in my scrap room. It serves as my upstairs recycle bin so I don't have to go downstairs to throw it in the recycling bin. I have both a regular trash bin and recycle trash bin in my scrap room also!! Very convenient!! |

Today starts my 4 day at home scrapbook retreat!! That sounds like my kind of retreat! If you have a minute tell us more about it. Did you cook ahead of time? Are you watching movies, listening to podcasts, or enjoying the silence? Is your family away or did you put a dead bolt on your scrap room door? Give us the goods so we can feel even more jealous. I am an empty nester so it's just my hubby and me. He is crazy busy at work right now so he won't be home much at all. We normally have very simple meals so cooking isn't really a issue. And I love silence so no movies or podcasts for me. Just me and my scrapbook room for the next 4 days!! YAY ME!! 😀 |

Today starts my 4 day at home scrapbook retreat!! I am starting my 2015 (yes you read that right, I'm 2 years behind) photos for my family album. Hoping to get at least 25 pages done this month. I would be very happy with that. I got very close to that many done last month. I also need to make 3 birthday cards for my nieces and nephew. Happy scrapping everyone!!

I have been using WRMK and I do love them although I was just looking through my albums this weekend and noticed that some corners were bent from sitting on the shelf. Do you have your albums sitting horizontally or vertically???

Funny you should ask this. I have a 4 day weekend next weekend and I have an opportunity to go to a 4 day retreat but I would not know anyone. The not knowing anyone does not bother me at all as I go twice a year to retreats where I don't know anyone well. The thing that's holding me back is the packing everything up. Also, I usually work on a specific project when I go to a retreat. Right now I am working on our regular family album so it would be painful to pack for it. I will probably have a stay at home retreat weekend. But I think you would enjoy going. When I go without knowing anyone, I do get my own room even though it is more expensive.

This month I hope to: -finish our summer vacation at the cabin album (near done, about 6-7 pages left -start working again on our family album (I used to do a separate album for my DD who is 25 but now I'm going to start doing just my family album as she also scrapbooks and as an only child she will someday inherit all my scrapbooks anyway -I was going to list print photos from December but I stopped after work and got those printed!!! -make Valentines card for hubby and DD (and her significant other) -hoping to finish 25 layouts Finally finished my summer vacation album. It took much longer than I thought to finish it but it's finally done. Now I should get back to DD/family album but I really want to do a mini album of a short day trip my husband and I took last fall to Madeline Island. |

Serenity is awesome -- my favorite BB line ever, and I too had vacation pictures that were just perfect for this line! and katmandu my friend has a small LSS/hairdressing shop and she hasn't ordered scrap stuff in a few years now. But she has tons of Bo Bunny stuff. Serenity is one of lines she has. I keep telling her she needs to list her stuff online because there would be people looking for vintage stuff they wish they could get their hands on. [That would be wonderful if she sold online!! I'd definitely take some Serenity off her hands!! |

I bought this last weekend and used it for the first time today and WOW I love it!! I also had the CM one that is VERY similar but mine is well used. I've been using a ruler too but this is way easier!! Best 10.00 I've spent in a long time!!

One crop I attended was at a large hotel and event center . There was a wedding happening on the same weekend as the crop. One young man, who had had way too much to drink came into our crop room and started dancing and doing a strip tease. Thankfully, he didn't take off all his clothes.

I'm happy to have this thread. It's fun! I am really excited to see new scrapbook supplies in person this Saturday. There are no LSS in my area any longer, so I've been an online shopper. I'm making a little road trip with 2 friends Saturday. Me too!! It is my birthday next week so my DH surprised me with a weekend away to where my favorite scrapbook store is (it is 2 hours away so not that convenient to go to!). I can wait to see all the new things in person also!! Enjoy your road trip with your friends!! |

Every since I was young (about 8 years old), I have been an avid memory keeper and photo taker! When my daughter was young, I really loved the idea of "modern day" scrapbooking but didn't pursue it because I knew once I started, I would become obsessed. And that's exactly what happened. That was about 15 years ago. Since then, I have worked and taught classes in my LSS (which unfortunately has closed) and was a CTMH consultant (which was definately not my thing). But I continue to love this hobby and I know I will also be a memory keeper of some sort.

I completed my Paper Wishes order today. One of the new items had popped up in the store but the other two are delayed again for another 2 weeks. A lot of what I ordered was Christmas/winter specialty papers and dies, and I want them to either use soon or pack away until card making time in October, so I decided not to wait. I received my January/February kits from Scrapbooking Fanatics this week. Today I took out the invoice so I could mail her the cheque, and I saw a balance of $0 dollars owing. You know, like the Master Card ad... I emailed Sandy to let her know she had made an error and she told me that my dd had purchased my WHOLE YEAR'S KIT FOR 2017 as my Christmas/birthday gift!!! Dd had said she had purchased me a subscription, but I thought it was to a magazine. But it was for 12 monthly kits!!! Merry Christmas to ME!! SaveDoesn't need a thing but because I'm me and tend to over place product, I'd be putting some enamel dots or snowflakes in the lower right in the space above the journalling space. I think it looks perfect the way it is! Very cute!! |

It is all about Doodlebugs Cream and Sugar line for me, this will be the first time that I ever buy a whole line. I used to bake for cafes and decorate cakes and my husband and I work together in the coffee industry so this line feels like it was made for me haha. Would like to get some of the oxide inks in the future but I am in no hurry to get them yet. I got the complete kit last weekend at my LSS (it's actually 2 hours away so not so local). It's even more adorable in person! I was going to go back with my daughter this weekend but I've ended up with hypothyroidism and pneumonia so probably won't make it 🙁 |

That is so funny that some of you others have forgotten your photos. I totally did that once myself and thought I was the only one who had! Thankfully I was only 20 minutes away and could come home to get them. Have fun at your retreats! I'm so jealous! I usually go to 2 every year but this past weekend I went to a yoga retreat so decided to hold off on going to my annual spring retreat..bummer.
