I'm working on a album I'm doing of last summer's vacation at our cabin. I was about half done with it then put it aside to work on a gift album for my husband, one for my daughter and my DD. I'm finding it hard to get back into the vacation album though. I'm off work today so I'm planning on working a lot on it so hopefully once I get going it will start to flow again. That's why I don't like to stop in middle of an album or project once I start it.

I'm working on the last 2 pages this afternoon!! I had to wait to get a copy of photo from my daughter! Very excited to be almost done. I'm ready to move on to another project.

It is a very cold day here, -3 degrees, and I got a surprise day off from work so I'm declaring it a stay in my pajamas and scrapbook day!! Planning on getting most (or all) my DD done and make a birthday card for a friend!!

I had a wonderful scrappy long weekend so I finished 14 pages in my DD which puts me just about to Christmas Eve. I am hoping to totally finish the album in the next week or so. I have many other projects waiting for me to work on.

I have remained frozen in 2017. 😊 i am a stress shopper and this past week has been full of stress. Lost my dad 12/26, but he had a wonderful Christmas seeing all the kids and 4 very close friends. We had brought him home just 3 weeks ago, after he had been in a nursing home for 1.5 years (had 2 strokes). We are trying to focus on the positive, he was home, saw friends and family, veterans were at the cemetery with salutes, guns and flag presentation to my mom. As a WW2 navy vet, he would have been so honored!!! The day he was buried, my 4 kids took our 12 year old boxer to the vet to be put down. He had a stroke. Please forgive the long post, but it feels quite cathartic. Because I had originally decided to freeze in January, and then everything happened, I now have orders from Jillibean, ACOT and scrapbook.com coming. i had taken scrapbooks for the viewing and they were enjoyed by many. i have a picture of my dad when he was around 4 years old which I will scrap one day. Pictures are treasures, aren't they? [ So sorry for your loss. And you're absolutely right, pictures are truly priceless. |

Day 1 and you might know that I would run out of adhesive. Go figure! I did go get some at Joanns but can proudly say I walked in, grabbed the adhesive,paid and left the store!! I did want to get the adhesive though because I am on a roll and finished 8 pages in my DD this weekend so far!!!

After finishing my daughter's Christmas album, I'm just glad to be back working on my DD. It kinda took a backseat to my other Christmas projects. It is nice to look back on our busy, fun month though.

I kind of did. My hubby surprised me with a new laptop computer and my DD gave me a printer to go with it. I was very surprised because I never mentioned wanting or needing one!

The album I was making for my daughter and her boyfriend for Christmas is done, wrapped and under the tree!! Now off to the kitchen to prepare my lasagna so we have a meal to eat!! They should be here for the weekend about noon today!! YAY!!! Merry Christmas everyone!!

Last year, my daughter and her boyfriend (who are Christmas fanatics) had a holiday party. It went great and everyone had a wonderful time. For Christmas, I made them a scrapbook of the party. They loved it!! This year they again had a holiday party. Unfortunately, it wasn't as great and there was some family drama. I was planning on making them another album but now I'm not sure what to do. There was some great parts of the party. And I got some amazing photos but I'm not sure if I would make people uncomfortable with the album?? Just a quick update on this situation. It turns out it really wasn't a big deal at all and everyone is over it! YAY for family peace! Good thing I had started the album since I am going to give it to them for Christmas. Now I only wish I had more pictures but I was too busy helping with the food. Oh well that was much more needed at the time. |

nancydrew can you possibly just make a couple of pages to add to last years album? That's a great idea! I may do it that way after discussing it with my daughter. I know I won't give it to her on Christmas if I do make her an album. I don't want to make anyone more uncomfortable then they already are. |

Can you set up an album for this and future Christmases, maybe do a cover page, and then just a couple of pages for this year, and then leave the rest to be filled in each year? Might even lead off with a couple of pages about last years function? That's a really good idea. I'm going to ask my daughter today what she'd like me to do. I may do what you suggested. I love the idea of a December thread! Hearing what everyone is working on inspires me! I just finished decorating mason jars for a cookie exchange I'm involved in. Tonight I'm starting a mini album for my daughter of her annual holiday party she and her boyfriend have each year that was this past weekend. Since it's a Christmas gift, I better get busy!! I'm also working on my DD.
