Nope, I didn't disagree with you or dispute what you said. Just pointed out that you conveniently sidestepped the post you quoted and the fact that elected officials and the former president are lionizing him. So what? |

Yes and you very conveniently sidestepped the fact that elected members of congress and the former president are absolutely lionizing him. I can’t get past dumb stuff like this. He can’t be serious, but this is awful. Sure, Congressman. This guy should get his own holiday. He already has his very own t-shirt and white power sign. And then he can intern for Gaetz. Wasn’t it just the other day that Someone (I think pixie chick) said that “nobody is lionizing Rittenhouse”? |

There is something terrifyingly wrong with a country where someone who does what Kyle Rittenhouse did, is considered a victim and is then heroized by a decent amount of people, some of them prominent and/or elected officials. It is one thing to think that he made some really bad really choices and that he still *might* have somehow acted in self defense. It is quite another to lionize and defend it. 😨😵💫 No one here is lionizing him. They are looking at the chain of events and talking about what they actually know. Rittenhouse went to help keep the car dealership and the cars from being burned to the ground. He was putting out fires set by the criminals and that's what set off the actual aggressors. (Like David Dorn who didn't protect himself and now he's dead) Putting out fires is not provoking conflict. They threatened to kill him twice, he was bashed in the head with a skateboard twice, had a running kick to the face, (the guy was off the ground completely as his feet made contact to Kyle's face), they chased him, advanced on him and pointed a gun at him. It was self defense. The video shows that. The "victim"/aggressor/witness for the prosecution testified that he only got shot after he pointed his gun at Rittenhouse. That is self defense. |
