I have no doubt and cannot understand how others can just shrug their shoulders and walk away! well, it's because Zelensky said he didn't feel pressured, don'tcha know? (because after all, he had no reason NOT to answer the question truthfully- it's not like he was a brand-new President of a country at war with a larger country and needed our assistance or anything, right? oh, wait...) And, well, because Ukraine got the money in the end... so who cares about the stuff that happened before, or what anyone's intent was? Let's not dwell on any of that. ---------------------------------------------------------------- I wish the House could include the information from the GAO; they determined it WAS NOT LEGAL for Trump to have withheld the money from Ukraine at ALL into one of the two articles- or heck, why not just go ahead and add a third Article of Impeachment. Oh, so we’re the effing idiots because we took his words literally. WTH. Dershowitz is rewriting Article II of our Constitution. That’s like someone trying to rewrite the Bible. Someone ought to tell him it’s already a done deal. But, he's Trump's lawyer after all-- Donald Trump, the king (no pun intended) of: "that's what I said, but that's not what I *meant* by it..." or the ever-popular: "it was a joke; he wasn't speaking 'literally' about whatever-out-of-his-ass comment he made.")

Sorry, you get the whole thing..... left off last few paragraphs... DOJ tells judge that Congress cannot sue to enforce subpoenas, they say solution is impeachment, but.................... DOJ tells court that Congress can't sue to enforce subpoenasBY HARPER NEIDIG - 01/30/20 02:30 PM EST The Trump administration told a federal judge on Thursday that Congress cannot sue the executive branch, attempting to fight off a House committee's subpoena for documents related to aborted efforts to add a citizenship question to the 2020 census. James Burnham, an attorney with the Justice Department, argued that Congress cannot use the courts to enforce its subpoenas. It can only use the legislative tools it has at its disposal, he said. "If they are enforceable in the courts that would be a revolution in the history of the relationship between the branches," Burnham said. "These cases would multiply like rabbits."
D.C. District Judge Randolph D. Moss seemed skeptical of Burnham's argument."It seems to be kind of remarkable to suggest that Congress as an institution can't enforce its subpoenas," Moss said, adding that, without that right, congressional subpoenas would be little more than requests.Burnham responded that Congress has plenty of legislative powers, from appropriations to impeachment, to provide leverage for its subpoenas. The suggestion that Congress could impeach an official for defying a subpoena is one of several court arguments that the administration has made in recent months that's in conflict with President Trump's impeachment defense in his ongoing Senate trial. His defense team has argued that the president cannot be impeached on an obstruction charge for going to court to fight congressional subpoenas. Megan Barbero, an attorney for the House, argued that it would be impractical to use appropriations as a tool for gaining information from agencies, and pointed out that neither impeaching the president nor holding Cabinet officials in contempt has helped Congress obtain information from the executive branch in recent months. The House Oversight and Reform Committee sued Attorney General William Barr and Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross in November for refusing to comply with its subpoenas. ** thehill.com/regulation/court-battles/480730-doj-tells-court-that-congress-cant-sue-to-enforce-subpoenas

None of this is going to do anything anymore. Republicans have effectively killed off democracy.
Senate Republicans denied the American people a right to the full truth—whatever it was by trashing the constitution with their lies, gaslighting and conspiracy theories.
I fear for most Americans.
Now that Senate Republicans have literally said “we know trump did all these things but we don’t care” it now paves the way for trump to do whatever he wants with no accountability or responsibility and the administration to investigate any American rival in secret for any reason.
Bolton is going to be hit hard by the administration in the next week—they’ll sue him, silence him, prevent his book from coming out.
Now that we are heading for rock bottom, those who voted for him/continue to support him will lose everything that they have by trump killing off healthcare, social security, Medicare. He’s already killed farmers they’re losing everything, committing suicide, going bankrupt because if him. And they’ll be gobsmacked when it happens because they don’t think it’s gonna happen to them.
Senate Republicans will now kill off the Democratic Party, leave them out of decisions (thus has already begun).
I fear for those who have been constantly attacked by this administration.
I’m ashamed of our government.

None of this is going to do anything anymore. Republicans have effectively killed off democracy. ... I fear for most Americans. ... Bolton is going to be hit hard ... those who voted for him/continue to support him will lose everything ... they don’t think it’s gonna happen to them. ... I fear for those who have been constantly attacked by this administration. I’m ashamed of our government. I'm not ashamed of our government. I am ashamed of the people who voted to put them there and keep them there. The government couldn't have done any of this, or what is to come, without the support of their voters. For whatever personal reason they had to vote this way, they did. Doesn't matter if it was to avoid a black president, or a woman president, or a "Clinton", or because their family always votes Republican, or to protect their 401k, or to bring back coal, or because they enjoy hearing others belittled and made the butt of jokes, or because they just really get off on that comb over. Those that didn't want to think about our government because it stresses them out. They just can't think or do even the simplest things in response because it will put their mind in a bad place. Their reasons might make them feel their actions were justified. It doesn't matter. Their actions directly caused this result, and will cause what is to come. I won't waste a second feeling bad for them. This is what they wanted. They just wanted the bad stuff to be for "those other people", not them. I'm shocked in a way, but only because I really wanted to believe the best in people. Lesson learned. Oh but I am thrilled to see the value of Bolton's book going down the drain. Sometimes when you put your own profit above the well-being of everyone else, you get burned. Slick move waiting to reveal information until you can get paid for it. That is going to be fun to watch. Great points. I do feel a little better hours later after posting. I’m so flipping angry—republicans have to cheat, steal, lie, obstruct, move the goal posts to “win” at the cost of every one else. And you know darn well that Republicans and conservatives that remain supportive won’t do a damn thing to curb or correct the lies, or lift a flipping finger to save democracy—and they deserve to lose everything.

Bolton is going to be hit hard by the administration in the next week—they’ll sue him, silence him, prevent his book from coming out. The truth will come out sooner or later. There’s no stopping further revelations simply because there are people who have copies of the manuscript in their hands. They will not out themselves but they will leak. Minutes ago the NYT reported another leak (bolding mine): WASHINGTON — More than two months before he asked Ukraine’s president to investigate his political opponents, President Trump directed John R. Bolton, then his national security adviser, to help with his pressure campaign to extract damaging information on Democrats from Ukrainian officials, according to an unpublished manuscript by Mr. Bolton. Mr. Trump gave the instruction, Mr. Bolton wrote, during an Oval Office conversation in early May that included the acting White House chief of staff, Mick Mulvaney, the president’s personal lawyer Rudolph W. Giuliani and the White House counsel, Pat A. Cipollone, who is now leading the president’s impeachment defense. Mr. Trump told Mr. Bolton to call Volodymyr Zelensky, who had recently won election as president of Ukraine, to ensure Mr. Zelensky would meet with Mr. Giuliani, who was planning a trip to Ukraine to discuss the investigations that the president sought, in Mr. Bolton’s account. Mr. Bolton never made the call, he wrote. ********** Note two very important revelations: More than two months before the call, several people already knew Trump's intent was to have Ukraine investigate the Bidens; and Cipollone was amongst them...the same Cipollone who headed Trump's defense team.

the same Cipollone who headed Trump's defense team. Who lied in front of the Chief Justice many times and law license on the line! ** Cipollone's involvement in meetings about the pressure campaign on Ukraine would place additional scrutiny on the White House counsel. While leading Trump's defense in the impeachment trial, Cipollone has insisted there is no evidence of wrongdoing by the president and argued that the Senate does not need to hear from Bolton. ** thehill.com/homenews/administration/480898-bolton-says-trump-told-him-to-set-up-giuliani-meeting-in-ukraineHe was in the meetings!!!

Nothing this crooked and connected through secrets and lies can stay controlled for long. Can you even imagine trying to live a healthy life while in the middle of this mess? What a miserable existence. The hearts and souls of these people are so broken.

And our wonderful, NOT, Devin Nunes appears again!! MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace explained that she thought the House managers did an exceptional job, but who disgraced the Republicans was Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA). “I mean, is it possible that John Bolton just didn’t want to sit in front of Devin Nunes, who may be another thug, another Lev Parnas figure in the entire smear campaign?” Wallace asked.** “Yeah, but I think we’re going to find out that Bolton knew some of what Nunes was doing,” said Jolly. “Maybe that’s why he didn’t want to testify. But I’ll tell you, Nicolle, it struck me, the more we talk about John Bolton, and this reporting today from the New York Times, that Bolton was in the room and Bolton knew about this. You know who else was in the room at one point, and learned the same things? The whistleblower. And he went to Congress. You know who else? Lt. Col. Vindman. And he went to Congress. Fiona Hill, went to Congress.” He went on to say that Bolton has got to do the same because it’s the only way his story can be entered into the record. ** www.rawstory.com/2020/01/bolton-may-have-known-about-devin-nunes-and-thats-why-he-didnt-want-to-testify-in-the-house-ex-republican-rep/?utm_source=&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=3632&recip_id=304309&list_id=1

No one will be held accountable for their wrongdoing— Hopefully they will in November, in the voting booths across America. I hope enough people will be pissed off enough to get their butts to the polls and VOTE in numbers like this country has never before seen, to *actually* drain the swamp.

White House Counsel Cipollone was named White House Counsel by President Donald Trump in October 2018.[11][12] He succeeded Don McGahn who left office on October 17, 2018. [13] Emmet Flood served as counsel until Cipollone's background security check was completed.[14][15] Cipollone officially assumed the role on December 10, 2018.[16]
In his role as White House Counsel, Cipollone has been the public face of the White House response to the impeachment inquiry into Donald Trump. In October 2019 he signed an eight-page letter to Democratic House leaders stating that the White House would not cooperate in any way with the inquiry. He laid out a broad view of executive authority and said that Democrats' actions violate "the Constitution, the rule of law, and every past precedent".[17][3] In December 2019 he wrote two letters in response to an invitation from Jerry Nadler, chair of the House Judiciary Committee, for the White House or Trump himself to participate in its hearings. He said the White House and Trump would not participate because the planned hearings do not "provide the president with any semblance of a fair process" and the inquiry is "completely baseless".[18][19] On January 14, 2020, he was named to the team of attorneys representing President Donald Trump in the impeachment hearing case.[20]
On January 31, 2020, it was reported that Cipollone was present at a May 2019 White House meeting where President Trump directed his national security adviser John Bolton to "extract damaging information on Democrats from Ukrainian officials."[21]
Personal life Cipollone is a Roman Catholic, a founding member of the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast and a board member of the Catholic Information Center.[22] Conservative commentator Laura Ingraham credited Cipollone with helping her convert to Catholicism in 2002.[23][24] He has ten children.[25] One of Cipollone’s daughters worked as a booker for Ingraham’s show on Fox News.[26]
BTW: his income is listed as 6.7 million dollars (2017-2018) Wikipedia.org
