Yes I do. One, a nurse, was in the hospital, then rehab and now home with a very long recovery ahead, and probably never "the same" again. Organ failure among them. Hoping to recover but questionable.
That's what I find extra insidious about this virus, the unknown after effects. I was listening on NPR to a expert/doctor/scientist and that is what he was saying. People are dying now and the after effects are going to be awful and more long lasting than we can imagine. That was his science based prediction. Besides the deaths, the worst is yet to come. Frightening.

I do not know personally anyone who has had it. But my colleague's aunt died of it, she was a nurse. The registrar clerk at our rival school had it and died. She was 42. One of my former students is doing a gofundme right now for her sister, who is in the hospital with it right now. She's a nurse.
We had our first big "prepare to teach virtually" training yesterday. One of the first things they mentioned was that we can NOT just jump into curriculum, because our district is one of the hardest hit places in the world. Literally - the zip code where I work was the hardest hit zip code with cases per capita. We were told that we will need to build community and support for our students because so many of them have family who are sick and family who have died.

Yes. DIL’s parents both have it as well as her sister and BIL. Her father is in ICU but not on a ventilator and received news today that one of his lungs is clear and the other one is better so hoping he will be transferred out of ICU soon. The others are at home.

I’m in Florida. My boss’s husband had it after traveling to Arizona. An employee’s aunt and uncle are in the hospital with it. I tested negative before an EDG procedure.

Down here in FL it's harder to get the truth or details. People act like there's no pandemic (always have), and I haven't heard of anyone we know getting it. Again, this is the "down-low State" where it's all kept secret, so I doubt we'd know...... precisely - I read stuff from friends in other states where they announce that someone at x location or someone who was at y and z locations on this date between these times tested positive or daily/weekly reports from their county health departments etc... and it's pretty much radio silent here. My county (small and rural and super duper RED) - has (according to the state dashboard - which is well known to be less than accurate) 2002 confirmed cases, 10 deaths ((3 in the past couple of days) and the only thing our county health dept sends out is an announcement of death (male/female, age, and if they were hospitalised when they died). They don't announce the number of cases, they don't announce where clusters have been...nothing. But we also don't have mask rules (some stores do - but I have yet to see them enforced) and the prevailing public opinion is still plandemic, fake news, masks make you sick, my rights... as for knowing people - I have online friends who have been sick but I have no idea if anyone locally has been

Yes, I do. A family of 3, all recovered, and someone at my DH’s hair salon, still recovering, but only had mild symptoms.

Our friend passed away this week from covid related complications. He had been in ICU since April. He and his wife are the only ones I know who contracted it.

Quoting myself: “It took another several weeks til she was finally pain free, and is still too weak to stand/walk for more than a half hour per day. She has suffered lasting damage to lungs, kidneys, and liver.” scrappintoee said, “Because we don't know a lot about the AFTER-affects, I'm curious, what was the source of her pain? Hope she's better now!” We are not close so I don’t know for sure. We are more “friendly” than friends. But while she was in the hospital she was posting videos sharing her thoughts. Her breathing was very labored so my assumption was that the pain was in her lungs. But I don’t know for sure. She seems to be doing much better and regularly posts saying she is at PT. I saw her yesterday. She’s has damage to the areas I mentioned, plus she had to relearn to walk. Been going to PT. She has also lost some vision in her right eye. She is no longer able to drive at night. From what she said, and what we’ve heard, it’s not the same for everybody. Some may have little to no lasting damage. She got quite a few whammies.

Several. Lots in the local musician community, with a few deaths. My uncle is recovering after a "mild" case (he's almost 78). My cousin passed away this week at age 55 after being on a ventilator for 3 weeks and multiple complications. She had a massive stroke 5 years ago and was in a local assisted living facility at the time of infection.

Now I’ve been running a fever over the last few days and aches, and I e not been around anyone!!! Prayers to all 3of them!!! As for you, that's how the 3 of us have been feeling daily. Our primary said that we can't get tested unless we have a fever of 100.2. Why we're feeling exhausted, achy, feverish, scratchy throat, is beyond me. DH is kept in a bubble here unless he has chemo or a dr apt. I go out very rarely to get groceries and I try my best to be safe and wash up when I get home. Still, I know it could happen. We're all not getting any worse but this is a drag now to feel exhausted for months and barely accomplish anything. I hope that you are okay and that we all have just a longterm bug. Be safe!!!

My brother had it. He just finished quarantine two days ago. Fortunately, his only symptom was loss of smell. He found out he had it at a doctor's appointment for something else. I'm so thankful he's ok.
I am so sorry for those of you who have lost loved ones due to the virus. These are difficult times, for sure.

My brother has had it and was pretty sick, said it felt like the flu, but is better now. A very good friend and her entire family had it - all have recovered. My friend has asthma and had a longer recovery but is doing well now. One of my employees had it as well. I don’t know anyone personally who has passed from it, but some people that we know have lost family members.

I forget if I've already chimed in.
My middle child's inlaws ALL had it. The grandfather still calling it a hoax and swanning about town maskless even when his wife was in the hospital. All recovered, thank goodness.
My youngest and her fiance had it. He had bad cold like symptoms. She didn't have much but what she described as allergies. Still I got to drop off groceries and essentials for a couple of weeks.
My neighbor is a widow who lives alone. Her son and his family got it, so in May, DH and I were running errands for her since they had been her source of grocery delivery.

Scares me because if I fall I'll, we're all in trouble here. DH has surgeries coming up and DD32 can't drive or basically do much (she's bipolar and really child -like). I'm the one who goes out whenever something needs to be done.

My young 19 year old cousin. She is ok now but had fever loss of smell and nausea for about one week. It was scary as she survived childhood cancer.
I know a few healthcare workers who were exposed got sick but had neg. Tests or did not realize they were sick with covid type illness until they were no longer eligible for a test. But 2 of them had it bad, not hospitalized but very sick.

Yes. My 25 year old cousin had it, and has since recovered. A elderly neighbor had it, but was not so lucky. He was the first person in out town to die from Covid back in March.
