Seriously. Nothing comes in 2 days. I just placed an order. Everything was in stock. Will be here next Tuesday. WTF? Why?
I was very understanding at the beginning of the pandemic. Now? Not so much. I'm thinking about not renewing my membership. I really don't see the advantage. Am I missing something?

I’ve never had Amazon Prime. I know there are other advantages to having it besides the quick shipping, but I generally always got things in two days (pre-pandemic) without it. It never seemed worth it for the shipping alone.

I’ve never had Prime.
Everything has free shipping at $25 or less anyway. Why would I pay for shipping?

Music.
You do remember we are in a pandemic and shipping on all platforms is slow right?!

Music. You do remember we are in a pandemic and shipping on all platforms is slow right?! I still get everything from target in 48 hours (usually 24) with my red card free shipping. OP, cancel Prime and get a Red Card.

$25 is not hard to accumulate for shipping!

We have Prime because DH likes the movies/shows but that doesn't stop me from ordering, lol. I get photos (12 cents, take about a week) and most purchases come in 1-2 days (and I'm rural)

This I do not have a cable bill. Prime for the year was less than 2 months of cable

I don't have cable TV, so I do watch the movies sometimes. Free shipping on most things is a plus though.

I’ve received so many items same day if I order by a certain time and within the 2 day prime.
But I do think that Amazon should offer a price break on next years billing for prime because a lot of items do take longer now.

Because "next Tuesday" from whenever I order is always my next Prime Day option. Even if I order on the Monday preceding it.

I get everything in two days unless I don’t change the default setting that lets it take longer.

I gave it up in August 2019 (after having it since the very beginning) and don’t miss it a bit. I live in Seattle and even though we are at the center of Amazon, I still had the same problems you are having. I paid for it for 2 months over the holidays last year to watch a few shows and for holiday delivery, then let it go again. I’ll likely do the same later this year as well.
I have slowly been weaning myself off shopping at Amazon. Jeff Bezos’ extreme personal wealth while paying warehouse and delivery drivers and other blue collar workers a pittance bothers me a lot *off soapbox*. I bought a steam carpet cleaner today. Target had it for the same price in the same delivery frame (Monday) as Amazon so they got my $200. I have an Amazon VISA card that i only use at Amazon for the points. My monthly bill is typically 1/3 to 1/2 of what it was when I had Prime. I do SO much less impulse shopping now.
Wow, I guess I really have an opinion about Amazon today 😂

Mine usually comes in 2 days or less. I have a greenhouse that won't be here for three weeks, but in most cases, it is spot on.

She is paying for a service that she is not receiving. If you go to a restaurant and your food is cold is that acceptable because at least you are able to get food? I get what you are saying OP. I don’t even have the option to choose to pay for expedited shipping. This isn’t due to the pandemic as it was happening before that started.

I guess it depends on where you live. I ordered a microphone this morning and got it tonight. It was supposed to be here tomorrow. I almost always get my packages within one or two days, unless it is something that comes from a third-party seller.

I hate prime but still have it. And we have a massive target and they don’t see 1/3 if what Amazon does so it’s definitely no substitute.

I have never had prime. 99% of the time there is a choice to wait 4-5 days for the item and get shipping free. Then, about 90% of the time it comes in 2 days anyway.
Prime does give you the ability to see some movies, so that would be the only value IMO.

Not sure if it's a regional thing or what but I've been very fortunate to have always gotten my money's worth.

I ordered something last night at 9PM and it was here today at 2PM. I did have some issues with orders, but it was a warehouse issue shipping to here. I was super frustrated, but after that got solved, I haven't had any further issues. I also use Prime Video and Music, get the free book every month and have done photos.

I live rural CA. My orders take 3-5 days most of the time to get to me. We have prime. My kids like to watch the kids shows. We've got it for a student price thankfully. I don't think I'd get it if I had to pay full price. Most of the time Amazon prices are no better than target. Granted, I can order a bunch of random stuff from Amazon and have it delivered but I'd have to go to Target, walmart, joann's, hobby lobby, michaels to get all of it so it does save me time and gas. I live 45 minutes from any of those stores so it is a money saver for me.

I don’t really care when most of the stuff I order arrives, it’s a huge convenience for me to not have to go to the store. Most of the time I try to time my orders so they will show up during the week in case we are at the lake for the weekend, and nine times out of ten it’s delivered early on a Saturday or Sunday when I’m not home. A lot of the stuff I order from there are oddball things I can’t find locally anywhere around here so I’m glad I have that option.
DH also likes watching the Prime movies or shows and he listens to Amazon music all the time too on his phone.

I gave it up about 2 years ago now and can't say that I miss it. They weren't making their 2 day mark back then and every time I complained they had some explanation! They price had recently gone up too so I decided to see if I could live without it and i've survived. I group items I need together for free ship and I usually get my order in a week these days (was longer during the early days of the pandemic, but a week now)
I will say my dd's order Target shipping a bit and get it reasonably quickly, under a week. I've done a couple Walmart orders because they had something I needed and they've been the quickest!! All ship free when you order a certain amount, like $25-35ish then free ship. I do not miss the irritation of Amazon Prime at all.
