I won't use our gas grill because, well, it's gas. I bought an indoor/outdoor electric George Foreman grill to use if I want to grill and DH is running late or out of town. I used to be afraid of fireplaces, but now we have a gas fireplace and I just have to click two switches on the wall to "build" a fire. 
I love that. I think that my main problem with the gas grill is waiting for the swoosh when you start it up. It is scary stressful for that brief second. I guess that I am really weird, because it does not bother me to use our gas range to cook on.
