Smdh. I'd be getting a refund. Make the school eat the cost.
Why can't people leave women's bodies alone?

OMG. They added fabric to Zoe’s pretty shirt! Terrible decision by the teacher and by the administration.

😱
That is beyond creepy. None of those pictures were the slightest bit inappropriate or provocative.
It isn’t about getting a refund, to me; the people who made the decision to alter those young women’s pictures in that way need to issue them a very public apology and then never be allowed to make those types of decisions again. I could care less about the money and more about the crude and creepy violation of those girls’ images.

Like who went thru all the girls photos peering at their cleavage to determine who gets the alterations? It’s so creepy. Anyone who is *that* focused on the tiny details of teens chests in photos probably should not work with teens. And they might want to talk with a therapist. It’s so creepy

“You’re not only affecting their photo, it’s not just for protecting them, you’re making them uncomfortable and feel like their bodies aren’t acceptable in a yearbook,” said Riley O’Keefe.
This is a quote from the first girl, and is so spot-on.

I hope this goes super viral

I'd be getting a refund. Make the school eat the cost. I'd be so pissed, I would be on the bandwagon to make them reprint the entire damn yearbook, without the alterations! Oh, I'd be pissed. Our local paper made a huge f*ck up on one of my kids' pictures that was printed in the paper. HUGE f*ck up and I was pissed. I went in there and was very unhappy. They were like "oh we are sorry" .. And I didn't take that well. They weren't going to do anything about it. I made them reprint the entire section (it was for the Senior class photos) the next week and get it right. My kid wasn't the only want that had the major mistake. It was a small town and if they proof read it at all it would have been caught before printing. Oh I am still majorly pissed about this 7 years later - can you tell. They then had the nerve to come out a couple years later and ask if they could take some picture for storm damage photos for the paper. I said to go shove it up their butts and I made sure the entire time they were in the area, they couldn't get a good picture of our building without me in it flipping them off. LOL My poor husband has to reel me in sometimes. These look like school photos, that were taken while the kids were AT school, in clothes they were able to wear TO school. No excuses on this one. The morality police need this officer taken down.

A bit of cleavage is going to make those horrible out-of-control men go wild, huh? Because, heaven forbid that people realize that women have BREASTS! And, like someone in the Twitter replies said, things like this happening is how women eventually end up in burkas.

Oh no, not breasts!
I agree with them having to reprint the entire yearbook and replacing them all.

god forbid these teens have lumps of flesh on their chests! the ATROCITY they did to zoe in the purple top, jfc!
if administration had an issue they should have said something prior to photos being taken. if administration had an issue they should have released a statement that went out to students/parents about having.. idk, freaking chests at all??? but they knew they were in the wrong and that backlash would happen, I guess they took the "ask forgiveness later" approach.
reminds me of one of the duggar girls terribly photoshopping skirts onto women in the background of photos on instagram.

I hope there's a class action suit to force the school to pay for a corrected reprinting for every student who purchased a yearbook.

This is local for me. We live in this school district but my son goes to a different HS.
I hope the teacher that did this is fired. She is body shaming those girls for no reason other than her asinine view of girl's bodies.

Someone utterly lost their ever loving mind. I'm absolutely in camp of reprint yearbook with unaltered photos and if school/district loses money too bad so sad.
As a total aside, I did have flashbacks to a dance performance where I was helping out in costume shop and no one realized how a particular costume would look under lights until dress rehearsal and a bunch of parents of 13-14 year olds lost their ever loving minds as the lights+costumee caused serious cleavage and they were NOT happy.

This really pisses me off. Young women are no longer allowed to have a decollette? I want to add a bunch of curse words, but I won't. This country is so messed up.

It's like being in a time warp. Is this 1955? Those girls are barely showing cleavage. There's nothing inappropriate about their outfits. That's insane.

This is ridiculous!
Some females find beards on guys very attractive. So do they photoshop out beards on male students because they don't want to "distract" the females? Or if a boy has gorgeous eyes, do they photoshop them to make them less "attractive"? I bet they didn't photoshop any boys.

I agree! Yearbooks are expensive. I wish they made the people who made these decisions to alter the photos pay for reprinting all yearbooks with their own money, instead of the school budget money (where tax money the girls parents paid will be paying for this). I say make the ones who did it pay for it!

Cleavage. It will be the downfall of the American society.
This is just nuts. It's like it's the start of a new puritan era, where girls and women are to be blamed for men's lack of impulse control. How does a high school in 2021 not see this is taking a step back?

Yeah, I'd be mad at the alteration but honestly I'd feel like my daughter could be exposed to more harm than good because of this viral campaign. Course, you can't unring the bell now. But if it were me I wouldn't be making that much of a fuss over it. I'd keep it internal.

I just can’t believe anyone thought this was ok, and couldn’t they at least do a half assed photo shop job? My cat could have done a better job photoshopping the one lavender shirt.

IDk I saw more than two, then I felt uncomfortable and closed out the article. IDK I think the parents might regret this decision. And who's to say the girls felt okay then but now..cringey? I'd say they let their outrage run away with them. Just my opinion but I think people need to calm tf down. It was stupid to do that yes, they need to revise the policy, don't do it again. Now let's sign year books and move on is my attitude.

Something like this happened in the disabled community not long ago. Someone decided to edit out wheelchairs and equipment and even went so far as to edit a child’s eye so that it wasn’t deviated. They even went so far as to say they wanted the kids to look normal in the pictures. It did not go over well.
As far as these young ladies are concerned there is nothing wrong with the pictures, nothing.
