We are looking into Mexico or Dominican for late January. Just exploring options at the moment, nothing booked yet.
But I want to sit my ass on a beach and not move for a week!

We traveled to Aruba in May and Disney World in July. Now we don't have any plans but I am planning to travel in November for my 40th birthday - of course that is if we are not in lockdown by then!

I wouldn't be traveling now anywhere. I'm in MA where we have a very high vaccination rate. We're seeing close to 3k new cases a day, in a heavily vaccinated population. Not a great sign. This virus is going to continue to mutate because we're giving it the opportunity to do so.

Ugh I feel like it is so complicated. We literally stayed home for the last year +, got vaccinated, etc. I have a few adult kids, they complied and have been vaccinated also. I had always said to dh that our biggest risk factor were said kids...and sure enough one of them got it and I ended up with it from her (this was pre-vaccine and only she and I had it.)
Fast forward, everyone is vaccinated and back to work. They work with the public and honestly in a touristy town. So again I feel like they're my greatest risk of getting it. A couple of them have travelled in recent months. We're set to travel next week with friends to their vacation house. I feel pretty safe doing so. I'm not sure i'd want to travel and be in highly populated/touristy areas though. I think Florida is a place we'd stay clear of for awhile.

I have plans to travel in the new year. My mom is a snowbird and will still be going to Florida in January. She has a house with a private pool. As I said to her couple days ago, you can sit here in your house and watch it snow or you can sit in the house in Florida, jump in the pool, sit outside, look at the sun. So I will be going to Florida at least three times and we are always very careful no matter where we go and I’m planning on going.

We miss traveling so much, but the only travel I would be comfortable with now is by car, to a destination that is very now risk, and staying in a rented house/cabin. All outdoor activities, away from other people. Essentially, a state park with a secluded cabin with kitchen and bathrooms. The campsites are super full right now We’d bring our own food, and only stop for gas. No restaurants, except maybe curbside. You know what? That sounds great o need to se if there are any available for when it cools off.
But a trip like the one you’re hoping to go on? ? I just don’t feel like it’s safe or responsible right now,

I have a trip scheduled for England, France, and Spain next summer. I've been paying for it the past 2 years. I hope things are better by next summer- my whole life, every time I have a trip planned to Europe, something happens that forces me to cancel. I'm hoping I can finally make it to Europe, but we'll see.

We took a road trip to Colorado last year. Stayed in an AirBnB and spent most of the time outside. We are flying to Bozeman, MT in late September (hopefully) to go to Yellowstone.

We drove to Austria for a week a few weeks back. Austria’s covid situation is similar to here, as is their vaccination rates. We are both fully vaccinated. All hotels and restaurants there must follow the ‘3G’ rule (geimpft, genesen, getestet - vaccinated, recovered or tested), so we had to show our vaccine certificate to register at the hotel. We only ate at the hotel - it was all-inclusive - and we spent our mornings hiking the mountains around the village and our afternoons on the balcony of our rooms, enjoying the sun and reading. We were thinking of a week in Greece late this month or early September, but DH can’t get time off then, so we are now thinking of Dubai in early November. That will depend on how things are covidwise, but the UAE has very high vaccination rates, so we’re hoping all will be well.

I have to travel, I’ve been trying to leave Korea for 2 years now. First my dad died, then I was scheduled to leave Feb 2020 amd boom covid. I waited and waited but it’s not changing anytime soon so I’m off to Mexico in 2 weeks. So, I have to go from Korea to ATL, then NO to Merida. I have no choice, I have to move.
My sister is giving me shit for traveling in the pandemic but seriously I’m vaxxed and I just cannot sit here any more.

The only traveling we did recently was to MIL's lake house. It's pretty rural and the town's population is around 2,000. That county was one of the last ones to turn orange on the transmission rate map. We had plans to travel to TN in December. That has been cancelled. BIL cancelled his wedding and is moving back to his hometown with his GF. I think they're going to end up eloping. We wanted to go to DS's graduation from basic but no visitors were allowed at the time. DS is due to complete his tech school soon. He's been wavering between coming home for a bit and going straight to his station because of the Delta variant. If he goes straight to his duty station, we might pack up his stuff and take it to him. That will be the only traveling we'll do this year at this rate.
Our plans to spend a couple weeks on a road trip has been delayed yet AGAIN. Nothing has been booked so we're not out any money. We're now talking about waiting until 2023.

In March this year, we went ahead and booked a Hawaii vacation for this November, going with DS & DDIL and their kids. Things were looking pretty good Covid-wise--numbers down, we are all vaccinated (not kids as too young), things opening up, etc. Even with all that, I really hesitated and am now concerned with numbers heading back up. Will see when trip is closer how things are. I don't feel comfortable traveling right now, though.
I would not be doing any travel to Florida these days--they are one of the worst for Covid.

We have a trip planned to St. John USVI in December. I booked the accommodations in May when it seemed like things were getting back to normal after we got vaccinated before Delta hit. We haven't traveled at all during the pandemic and haven't been on a family vacation in years. Luckily I waited to book the plane tickets and decided to skip our Florida layover (we've been twice before and had a layover in Florida) and instead fly direct from Dulles airport in Virginia (even though it's a real hassle to get to Dulles instead of flying out of BWI which is much closer to us). I thought do we really want to be in Florida even if it's just in the airport? No way if we can avoid it! It's also a much shorter flight-less than 4 hours vs. 7 hours.
Now we are keeping our fingers crossed that St. John doesn't close it's borders and we can keep our plans. There are all sorts of restrictions in place. You have to have a negative Covid test before you can step foot on the island. I'm not sure about getting on the plane but I assume you have to be vaccinated to get on the plane plus wear a mask. I haven't checked out those rules yet.
Once we are on St. John 90% of our activities are outdoors so I'm not worried about catching Covid while we are there. When we are indoors with others you have to wear a mask while on the island.

I'm going to Massachusetts next month for a wedding and as of now I have no plans to cancel. I will traveling on Amtrak from NYC, and plan to choose a seat away from other people - I think that going up midday on a Thursday should make this fairly easy, especially since kids will be going back to school just before that time which means I won't have to worry about lots of families. I chose hotels over AirBNBs. I will be spending a day in a suburb for the wedding, then a few in Boston since I'll be close by anyway. I plan to eat outside as much as possible, and will wear my mask everywhere. However.... the rates in the northeast are much, much different than they are in Florida, Texas, etc. I feel fine with it and I'm following the lead of my friend getting married, because she is incredibly responsible (as is her fiance) and if they don't have strong concerns then I feel okay too. His family is from the area the wedding is in so they're keeping him updated.
Other than that, I have zero plans to go anywhere outside of my own city. Aside from money and time from work being a factor, I don't want to push my luck too much. I've been fully vaccinated since April but I don't want to act like it's a miracle and the end to the pandemic.

We went to Florida the first 2 weeks of June. I will preface this by saying we are a big Disney family. Going to DW is our favorite, go to spot. It truly is described as magical in our house. However, with all the restrictions and things closed we left there not feeling that magic at all. The lines were longer because the ride capacities were reduced. No characters walking around, no fireworks, parades, etc. We knew going there that masks were required and were okay with that. It was our understanding that it was only while inside but it was required while waiting in the lines outside. It was over 100 degrees that day and for most lines it was 1.5 hour wait. My 9yo dd got caught moving her mask down from her nose because she needed some fresh air for a moment and a cast member came over to her and said you need to put your mask up. DD turned to me and said mom I just need to breathe for a minute. The cast member said put your mask up, its really not that hard. It was things like this that took away from the magical experience. I get that they are just doing their jobs but we were talking about a child just needing fresh air not a defiant anti-masker.
Going in December at least the temps won't be unbearable like when were there. I made a comment to dh that I felt sorry for any families that were there for their first time because they don't know what it can be like. Dh said well it isn't better for returning families because they know what it can be like.

We are vaccinated and diligent about masking. We recently traveled for an event cancelled twice previously due to covid. SO and I decided that we would go because we're fairly certain it's going to get worse this fall, and if we were going to go, the window was closing fast.
Our decision was aided by the federal mandate for masks on planes and a vaccination/negative test requirement for attendees.

Did a quick trip a few months back after being fully vaccinated to see my Dad out of state and have a quick road trip to see our kids next month staying in an AirBnB. Feel safe as long as we are out of crowds and off planes right now. Not going to lie - the flight of TX Senators who caught Covid worried me since they said they were all vaccinated, so I would not choose to fly right now even with masks.
Lots of peas traveling to FL and I swear anytime I asked where someone was traveling this summer their answer has been FL for beach or Disney. Makes me wonder how much tourists are causing the case and hospital numbers to go up there. Probably no way to ever know either except everyone seems to be flocking to that state this year.

We started traveling again in Sept 2020 and haven’t stopped.
We’ve been in 23 states since Sept. We’ve been to Vegas, the Grand Canyon, Chicago, Atlanta, the Rocky Mountains, the Smoky Mountains, the beach, and Disney World and Universal. We’ve flown on planes and stayed in hotels. We’ve road tripped.
Between now and December, we have trips planned to Denver for the opening of the new Meow Wolf, Destin for the beach, OKC and Tulsa for some special museum exhibits and openings, Mount Rushmore, and Houston for museum exhibits. We’re hoping to add more.
I will not stay home again.

I'm hoping I can finally make it to Europe, but we'll see. My DH and DS have a trip planned for Scotland (British Open) next June. DD graduated from HS this year and I really wanted to take her to Italy, but didn't book anything. I am reluctant to book even for next year. DH and I had a 20th anniverary trip scheduled for Austria, Swizterland and Germany that was cancelled (2020). He just asked if I wanted to go to Ocean City, MD (3 hrs away) in Sept or Oct for our anniversary and I told him i am really reluctant to travel bc 1. DD is now starting college, and I feel like if she's going to get covid, it will be soon after she is immersed in college life and I want to be at home to help her if needed and 2. I keep hearing that the delta variant is supposed to be a short spike, but how short is short? Travelling when it's just starting to calm down feels like it's stirring it up again. I feel like I'm back in 2020 and can't trust anyone again.

We have postponed everything thru the end of the year, and now we are contemplating a road trip to go see Ds in Boise. We all took his going back to college very hard. We will rent an airbnb and cook our own meals, so it will be grocery runs. We are vaccinated and like our masks.

We went to Disneyworld back in March. Back then you had to wear a mask at all times but I wouldn't have a problem going in December wearing a mask only while inside. My middle DD works at Disneyland and she told me the parks are pretty dead right now, but we think it's mostly because people are holding out on going until the annual passes (magic keys) come back on August 25th.

I don't WANT to have these "magical experiences" marred like that. I can wait until things are better. DW isn't going anywhere, and if I am going to pay that much, I want it to be... as close to normal as possible.

Just returned to US from a 9 day trip to Kenya. 15 hour flight from JFK to Nairobi. Full plane (787). Kenya Airways. No issues with mask compliance going or coming. Had to be tested to leave, tested to get back. So did everyone else on the international leg of the flight.
I felt safe in the air and on the ground. I do wonder why a neg test is not required for domestic flights.

I had planned to fly from Dallas to Denver to visit my 90 year old mother. Frankly, with the rise in numbers I was getting nervous about traveling, but was willing to assume the risk. She called last week and asked me to wait until spring to come. I'm disappointed as I was really looking forward to traveling again, but she feels like it's too risky.

As someone who lives in Florida (Tampa area, not a Covid hotspot), I would STRONGLY advise against any travel to Florida any time soon. PERIOD. There are more active cases in Florida than any other state and our governor is a total twatwaffle.
We are currently in WA, Bremerton for those familiar with the state. DH, DD and I are all fully vaccinated (in March, with Moderna). We're only here because other DD had a baby. Ironically, none of her family are vaccinated and she believes it's all just blown out of proportion. I can't believe I raised her. We are currently looking at going home early as this trip is so physically hard on DD and I. I want my own bed!

FWIW, the Christmas party is back this year and they will have the first parade since Covid. But it is really expensive. I also read yesterday that they are hiring cast members for the Candlelight Processional. Attendance was down so dramatically yesterday that they allowed stand by for Rise of the Resistance. We'll be paying close attention to how things unfold between now and December. I asked the opinion of one of the friends for the October trip as she lives on the Gulf Coast and she wrote a long explanation of how bad it is and from her social and professional observations, how much worse it is than at the height of the pandemic. But she also thinks that the common sense precautions we should all be following are still effective. She says there just aren't enough people doing those things.

Please, please, please and begging you to stay out of Florida. If for any reason, think of it as a self-preservation and humanitarian effort. I live in South Florida and a friend of mine went upstate for work. She said she saw more out of state than local cars, so many from Texas. She also said the beaches and streets were packed with people. In general, there are so many maskless, denying people clustered here. Think about it. This is a place where the governor will take funds from schools if they require masks to protect students and staff. Why would you want to visit this soup of viral activity? No travel for me as a contribution to humanity not to bring my Florida exposed body to other states. My sister is in Florida and said to me "if you even think about visiting me, forget it.. you don't want to be here in this cess pool of crap..." and don't get me started on our brilliant governor about schools and masks.. UNREAL.... (I wasn't thinking about visiting!)
