I have no tattoos. DH has three smaller sized ones.
My oldest son has none and he was in the military lol My middle has three or four. Her tats are nice My youngest does not, she’s only 14. She will probably never get one. Pain is not her thing.

Yes I have 4 and I love them! I have appointments in Jan and April to get more. My girl does amazing color and flower work (you can see a teeny tiny pic of my forearm flowers (my kids' birth flowers) in my profile). My kids and husband do not have any.

I have 11 large tattoos: 1st across my shoulder blades, both upper arms, inside of both lower arms (1 is 2 tattoos), 3 right lower calf and 2 left lower calf. Not sure I will get more (no ideas of what I might except maybe a sewing tattoo).
My son wanted a tattoo at 17 while we were on vacation in Hawaii, so I signed the permission for him. During that same visit is when I got the first tattoo across the shoulder blades.
Love wearing my art.
Forgot to add that my DH also has tattoos - his first the same day my son and I got our firsts.

DH got a tattoo when in college and has had two of our kids' names added to it. I don't have any. I don't really like the look of tattoos and would definitely not want to put something on my body that I couldn't remove easily. So far none of my kids have tattoos but we will see what happens as they get older.

I have 3. DH has zero and he never will, he doesn't like them. He knows better than to comment on mine
DD23 has 3 as well, each gotten in a different city across Canada that she has lived in. DS27 has zero but I think that's more a financial issue than lack of desire

Not yet. DS (20) has an appointment in Jan for his first. He wants a sleeve eventually. However, after his motorcycle wreck and road rash scars, he isn’t sure he’ll be able to.
I have been wanting one in my wrist. An infinity symbol with 5/30 and 6/25 in 2 of the loops. That’s ds and dd’s bdays (5/30 is also dh’s). I just keep chickening out.
Then I saw one last week that I really liked. It’s the thumb/finger print if 2 people put together to make a heart. I want to get it done with ds and dd’s prints.
Dh and dd have no interest.

I do not. In my age group (mid-late 30s) I'm definitely in the minority among people I know. I admire some people's tattoos and others make me cringe a bit. To each their own.

DH has one on his ankle so most people don’t even know he has it. Technically, I have had two- both from my breast reconstruction. They weren’t well done and have pretty much faded. I considered getting one after I had breast cancer. A lot of women I met through that got one. But ultimately I decided that cancer left enough marks on my body and I had no desire to add to them.
No kids but my three nephews- mid to late 30s- and none of them have any either and neither do their spouses.

I don’t have any nor does my DH. DD is too young but I doubt very much she would ever get one. She doesn’t even want pierced ears. 4/6 of my siblings have them. I’m not a fan mostly because I can barely even commit to choosing a color for paint on my walls that I can change, so yeah. I can’t think of anything I would want permanently etched on my body.
ETA: I’m also pretty thrifty and tattoos are expensive, so that’s another reason why I won’t ever get one. I’d rather spend my money on something I would personally get more enjoyment out of.

I have 2 that I rarely think about, DH has 2, DD doesn't have any I think, DS has 1.
I don't care at all what they'll look like when I'm 80, I hate that dumb argument.

I have 11 (and would love to get more). DS23 has several, while DD16 says she won’t get one.

I don't have any. DH has a full back, getting a full sleeve and a few others.
My daughter is definitely going to be the tattoo type. I hope she waits a bit longer than 18 to start- the things I would have picked at 18 are not things I would still want in my body now.

I have 4 - at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock on my torso. Four tiny dots I got last year when I had my radiation, I'm not a fan of tats for myself so don't have any and never will. Several family members and numerous friends have them and some are really nice, it's just not something I've ever wanted to do.

I don't yet because I'm not ready to get it, but I most likely will someday.
My adult kids don't (yet), but I know at least one has plans to.

I have 4 tattoos. I have daisies going all the way around my ankle. I got it when I was 18 and it is not very well done. It is very faded now and I have thought about getting it covered up. But the back of the ankle is very painful to have done so I've been hesitant. I also have a butterfly on my belly I got done when I was 19. It's fine. No one sees it because my belly is not suitable for public. But back in my bikini days, it looked great. I got this little semi colon bee when Esther had her first suicide attempt in 2019. It is right on my left wrist. And then I got this memorial tattoo done for Esther this summer. These are lines from her favorite song and cosmos are her birth flower.

No, none of us has them. I am not a fan in general. I'll even go so far as to say that I dont think it looks nice when a woman has an upper arm tattoo and wears a sleeveless dress in a formal setting. I also think face and neck tattoos are not very well thought out. These are my opinions and I honestly dont care what other people choose to do with their bodies, these are just my feelings about specific types.

Neither us do. I don’t like them. I do have 2 very visible unattractive birthmarks, plus a very large abdominal vertical scar from cancer surgery. I would have loved to had the beautiful perfect skin my parents and siblings had. DD has one that you can only see when she wears a swimsuit. It’s a small sun tattoo. She got when she was in college and lived in Myrtle Beach, SC.
I understand the small tribute / in memory of tattoos.
Ultimately, it’s a personal choice, one that I would never choose.

I have one small tattoo purposely placed for underwear or a bathing suit to cover it. It’s just for me… well, and my husband.
Husband has three all on his upper back. Three of the four sons have them (the one who doesn’t says he never will). Only one of the three DILs has a tattoo.

My children are too young, but my parents (and their spouses) have tattoos. I got my first when I was 16, my parents signed the form. I then proceeded to get 5 more smaller ones up until I was about 21 and then money became an issue. Bills, right? I got another one in my 30s and have plans for at least 2 more. When I was younger, I didn't necessarily care what I got, they were mostly impulses and they're easily hidden. In my 30s, I wanted it to be "meaningful" and put it on my wrist. Now, I just want things that make me happy and F everyone else. I hope to get my new ink this upcoming year, but we'll see.

dh & I do not although i'd considered getting one awhile back. My sons do not and I doubt ever will. My daughters do. The older now regrets hers, luckily hers are not visible unless she's in a bikini. Younger dd was advised of olders regrets...yet has probably 8 of them. Can't say i'm a huge fan, but she likes them

I don’t have any. I have commitment issues with art and design. My daughter does not either. She won’t even get her ears pierced.
I don’t love them and I don’t hate them. I’m just glad they’re on other people’s skin. I get distracted if I have a pen mark on my skin.
I’ve seen beautiful tattoos and cringy tattoos. But that goes for clothing, hairstyles, jewelry, nails, etc. too. I love that people are so different and we can all express ourselves in so many ways. I wouldn’t want to be judged as being basic for not having a tattoo anymore than someone wants to be judged as being a “type” for having one.

I have 6 and have had 2 removed. DH has several, most related to his favorite punk bands and one Hemingway quote (he’s a bit of a Hemingway scholar). DS21 has none and I doubt he’ll get any. He’s just not in to that

No one in my family has one (me, DH, 2 DDs). Our oldest is married and her DH does not have one either. Youngest DD has a boyfriend of almost 3 years and he has one on his rib cage of roman numerals of his and his brother's birth dates, and he has a tiger or some animal on his upper front thigh.
I don't care for the look of tattoos and (most likely) will never choose to get one.

I have two tattoos, a Minnie Mouse bow on my ankle and an infinity symbol that says to infinity. My husband has the other half "and beyond". My oldest son and I got our first tattoos together when I turned 50. He now has 3 tattoos now. My 22 year old DS has one. I don't have a problem with tattoos at all. They are becoming more normalized.

Oldest DD has several. Younger DD has one.
I've thought about getting one for my 50th. I have something specific and meaningful in mind. But DH hates tattoos. Yes, it is my body, and no, it's not a controlling relationship, but I'm not sure about doing something permanent to which he has such a visceral reaction of disgust.

Neither me or my two daughters have them and none of us have any interest in getting one. <fixing the grammar on this, eesh! I still think its not quite right but meh, its early and you all know what I mean>
DH has a full sleeve that's beautiful but that's it. Just the one arm, he has no desire for more. He got what he wanted, it's meaningful to him.

I don’t and I don’t think anyone in my extended family does either which seems odd. My 20yo though says he’s planning to get one in his arm.
