Right here in my city of Colorado Springs. Close to the mountians.
The house was on TV. Here is a link to an article. Owners are moving to Chicago.
Since her name is mentioned in the news article, I will go ahead a post ther FB page.

There are really no words that fit my thoughts about this house. Modge Podge and a glue gun really ran amuck.

"Circus side show" is right. They might move that sign to the front yard. There are a few clever ideas but it is just too much.

I like a bit of whimsy and color in my decor, but oh my.
What does one do with all those hula hoops?

I wish they included a floor plan, because I can't make much sense of it with all the noise.

I can’t imagine anyone buying that in its current state.

Wow. That’s a WHOLE lotta shag and fur going on in that house. 😬😳 I think it would cost another $560K just to put that house back to normal. Not going to lie though, I secretly kind of liked that mirror with the pompom border. 😆

Feel like this is the very definition of just because you can doesn't mean you should.

That is not a home for crafters. That is a house for an acid trip.
The camera tilt actually made it worse. As if shag carpet and fake fur on the walls weren't bad enough.

Just one word for that house...bulldozer! Way too much that would have to be done to make it livable for the average person.
If you look at the Price & Tax History to the right of that linked page, it seems they have been trying to sell it off and on since 2010. It's always been taken off the market, so obviously not going to be an easy sale in its current state.

There are no words. Call me old-fashioned, but furry doors and ceilings don’t really do it for me. And that ‘installation' of soft toys . Just 😱

I was amazed. I know we have a lot of creatives that live in the city, but never in my wildest dreams would I have ever thought they did their "stuff" to that extent to their homes. I was really curious, so looked it up on the assessors site and the person bought it in 2014. Prior to that, is shows and owner deceased. I think the wife probably was wishy-washy in selling it.
I agree with pp that it would take a small fortune to redo that "mess".
I was even more curious about this person, so I looked up the owners name on FB. She is an art major, married and uses all those hoops to put on shows with tricks and dances.
Shall be interesting to see how long it stays on the market and what the final selling price will be.

How does one get dust, etc., out of furry walls and ceiling? I started wheezing just thinking about it.
I love the outside of the house. I felt dizzy and nauseated looking at the interior photos.

I think I’m speechless at the interior. Setting, and the outside are nice, but OMG, the inside!

It’s very…specific.
The kitchen gave me a bit of a headache.

Whoa.. I'm in SE Denver looking for homes in the Cherry Creek HS district and am keeping my eye out on the market. Let us know of any updates. I'm curious of what will happen. Wondering what my 2000 built home will yield.

Holy hell. I’ve never done illicit drugs in my life, but sure feel like I did once the pictures of the kitchen popped up. Stunning views and setting, shame someone appears to have gone on years long benders with glue guns, paint and modge-podge

How do you vacuum your walls and ceilings? Mercy, that would give me a migraine!

I wonder how much money that person put into all of those supplies to make that decor. And why are they selling? You know the realtor walked in and just went, "shit."
Says it is about 25 minutes from my house. I'll pass.
OP, I don't think you'd even find this house in Manitou.

It looks so ordinary from the outside. The whole time I was viewing it I kept wondering how long it took her to vacuum all that shag carpet and fake fur.

Remember that crazy designer on “Trading Spaces” who was always gluing stuff to walls because she was obsessed with texture? I think this house would be too much for her.
Wow!
