I have always made up little baskets for them with some candy and little gifts. They are older teens now so I’m trying to come up with something else.

Yep. but now I send them GCs to their favorite places to eat. In the past I've done Domino's pizza, red lobster. Benihana. They love it.

It really depends. This year I invited Chloe over for dinner on Wednesday. I'm making salmon. Jeremy and her fiance don't eat fish so we tend to do so when we get together. And I happened to be at the chocolate store the other day and I did pick up a small box for her that has a valentine theme.
We don't make big deals of holidays like that on the regular. We just pick up things as the kids need them or if we see something cool they might want. During COVID lockdown I sent them big boxes of retro candy and bath products and books and just fun stuff. That's how I tend to do things.

My daughter is extremely hard to buy things for. She’s at school and does not keep snacks or chocolate in her room and she hates gift cards. I sent her a Valentine card and some pink nail polish.

I have 3 boys and no I don’t. I might have once or twice when they were little but they are all out of the house now and have their own partners

Yes.
Usually something like a Lego set wrapped in heart paper.

They are getting a small box of chocolates, the older two are also getting a book, and the younger two are getting a Lego set (the $10 size) and Matchbox cars.

No, generally Valentine here = romantic love between 2 adults.

I find funny cards and put a little cash in it for my sons. They are 35 and 36, but still get a kick out of me doing it.

This is my son's first year at college 700 miles from home. I saw a Facebook ad for a local to him doughnut shop making and delivering doughnut bouquets so I ordered one for him. I am actually ridiculously excited for tomorrow and to hear his reaction!

I don't typically do anything for ds22, but I did find a set of cards of various walks in San Francisco, and it's his favorite place to visit so I picked it up For him. Then I got a message from him a couple of weeks ago where he wrote a limerick about wanting some peanut butter cookies I had made at Christmas. Of course I complied. 😻

I just get bags of Dove heart chocolates and put them in a bowl. We're not big Valentine's people in this house.

Not anymore. Now I get things for my grandsons, and they are very grateful for the chocolate and little toys.

Nope.. unless I just see something when I am at the store.. but typically no. My mom never did.. it's just isn't a thing for us.
Now my husband's birthday is on the 15th. We will celebrate that really instead of VD with the kids.

I have but not every year. I’ll probably make a Valentine dessert for the family since I have to bake for Thankful Thursday for school this week anyway.

No, generally Valentine here = romantic love between 2 adults. That is how I have always viewed it. (Except the stuff you have to do for them in school.. cards/boxes thing).. Even still DH and I generally don't do much. He might get me flowers.. that is a big MIGHT. lol.. I used to be sad about it. Now I don't even care. It's all good.

Yes, but it's usually just a cute, simple candy or trinket or stuffy.

My kids are all adults. My two boys have significant others so I don't get them anything. But my youngest, a daughter, without a boyfriend, I got het a few things. A box of heart shaped macaroons, a cute set of salt and pepper shakers, and a Starbs card.

Well, consider me stunned. I was all set to reply “no, of course not; Valentines Day is nothing to do with children” and then I read the replies where most people say Yes.
Stunned, definitely stunned.

I didn’t this year but he did get a cute shirt to wear tomorrow. Maybe next year I’ll do something he’ll be nearly 3 so way more aware of what’s going on.

Stunned, definitely stunned. I am always a little shocked on this holiday.. since I am not really a partaker... I do remember this kind of post comes up every year so I am now prepared! lol And I am not judging those who do.. I just don't. (or very little)

Stunned, definitely stunned. I'm not stunned, but I don't get my kids things for Valentine's day. We would usually have a fun treat that night when they still lived at home (I'd make creme brulee or brownies for example) but I never bought them gifts or cards for it.

Valentine's for me isn't really just for romantic love. Love is for everyone. I've given the ladies in my office chocolates in the past. Thinking it's just for romantic love is fine for you, but they have kids valentine candies, plushies, tee shirts, dresses, bows, cards, etc. I've never heard it was for romantic love only. That's wild to me. It's just LOVE.
