This link from the University of Wisconsin shows she married a Dr. Lawrence Kingsbury from the Orlando TB sanitarium. It looks as though he graduated in 1932 and she in 1928. The alumni newsletter is dated 1938. digicoll.library.wisc.edu/cgi-bin/UW/UW-idx?type=div&did=UW.v40i1.i0014&isize=text 1928 Alice MARSH, Orlando, Fla., to Dr. 1932 Lawrence H. KINGSBURY, Orlando, in June. Dr. Kingsbury is chief resident physician at Woodsmere, the state tuber- culosis sanatorium, at Orlando. I love stuff like this! I just wish it were as easy researching my own family.
Your user name is very appropriate! Look at all the info you found.
This is a fascinating story. I wish you luck on finding out if there are any decendants (how do you spell that word!) who are interested in having them.

That is so cool!! I have been researching my family tree on ancestry and it is so fascinating to find old documents that have been scanned into some archive somewhere. I just scanned through the replies, but I saw some good resources. Familysearch.org Archives.com, ancestry.com. I know ancestry makes you sign up to look at things. I'm pretty sure they have a free trial period. That's exciting, now I want to look on eBay like one Pea mentioned and find something like that to research and return to the rightful descendants.

The other sons' addresses are available but you have to pay to get them - about $20. If you do get to contact one of the sons, please update us!

Linda, are you a member of the Mocavo website? I'm not, no, that was a lucky Google search. I did look into joining Mocavo once - can't remember why I decided against it though

That is awesome. I think I'd photograph or even scan some of the items before passing the items along if you do wind up doing that. Maybe that way you won't miss Alice marsh as much when she goes off to live with her family. I reunited a bible with it's family once, and I jotted down the info inside and took a rubbing of the front cover just to remember it. It was such a neat bible, full of momentos, and I had it for several years before the internet became more popular and I found a family member to mail it to.

Thanks to the info here. I found a relative of theirs (not sure how related but has the last name of Kingsbury and they are listed on his family tree) on ancestry.com
If you want me to tell him to contact you, you can p-mail me your email address and I will send him a message and provide your email to him so you can get in touch with Alice and Larry's family. (Looks like they had 4 children and grandchildren) . Not sure how he is related to them but I can find out. Just let me know.

I loved reading that excerpt from a letter. To tell you the truth, I've never read a love letter before. I was wondering what the ones you have actually said. If you have the time and inclination to share more, please do.
