Now I want one, too! I have the Staedtler pens and love them. I think I bought mine at Hobby Lobby. With a coupon of course!

I was just reading the reviews on Amazon. The paper is supposedly low quality and most markers bleed through. There are images on the backs of the pages so this would create an issue. Some have made suggestions on what markers/pens etc to use. The reviewers all said how beautiful the book is and yet most were not happy at all with the quality of the paper. That didn't stop me from ordering 2 from Amazon for my 2 adult daughters. They love to color if they get stressed from work etc. I don't think they will be picky about the paper. * You can be placed on a back order from Amazon. They won't charge your card until the item will be shipped. They will also email you when the item is in. I did it this way being that they will be Christmas gifts for my girls. My daughter and I usually get one book and make copies of the pages. this way we can keep the book intact and we each can color the page. and then later on in years if we want to color it again we have the original book to make more copies. We also like to give each other challenges. with the pages we do. Like we have to use 3 colors or we have to use different types of pens/pencils. We even do a blind pick pen/pencil, the other person picks one. we have come up with some crazy challenges through out the years. Coloring is very relaxing. The best part of making copies is you can pick the quality of the paper. and you don't have to worry about the ink soaking through.

What size are the pages? I'm thinking of removing them from the book to use them on things like my checkbook cover etc.

So glad I ran across this thread! I have a couple of mandela colouring books, but these look fantastic. I checked online and the bookstore near my work has three of the new Enchanted Forest in stock. And according to rave reviews on Amazon, the issues with paper quality have been resolved.

I have both books and love them. Secret Garden has more of a traditional coloring book paper, while Enchanted Forrest has a thicker paper. My markers bleed through in SG but not EF. Good news is the new reprints of SG will have the thicker paper. I'm using Prismacolor pencils and I'm not in love with them. I'm trying to find the Staedtlers locally but haven't had any luck. I love Staedtler's fineliner pens and fibre tip pens! If anyone is contemplating using Tombow's Colorplay pens - don't. They are awful and streak terribly. (I have spent way too much money lately on pens and pencils!)

OK, so after reading this thread, I went to my local bookstore on my lunch break and picked up the Enchanted Forest one. The pages are nice and thick. And as I was paying, the cashier reached under her counter and pulled out HER copy, which is half completed lol. She said it's very popular.

I went in to my Michael's tonight to grab some pencils. I picked up the Prismacolor ones and got sticker shock when the gal rang me up…$129.00? Dang! I had no idea these pencils were so expensive.

Thank you for sharing! What a gorgeous book, too. I am going to stop by B&N tomorrow to pick up a copy (it's in stock, yay!). Nursing school is pushing me over the edge and this will be the perfect "escape" when I need a breather.

I couldn't stop thinking about this all day. I went to JoAnns and Walmart after work, and neither one of them had anything like this. So....I just went to Amazon and bought the one called Creative Cats. And I bought a box of 50 Crayola pencils, because a few reviewers, who sounded like they knew what they are talking about, said they were really good quality for the money. My total expense for these two was less than $15. I'm super excited to get my package from Amazon, and if this turns out to be one of my (many) intense but short-lived obsessions, I won't be out too much money

I print mine off of Pinterest too. I usually use Neenah papers to print them onto. I'm a stamper and have colored stamped images for years. The Neenah paper is perfect for this. I use a light cardstock. My pencils of choice are Prismacolor.

Well, damn! They just did a story on The Today Show about this coloring book and also the author. The Peas are so on trend, but I will probably never get my book now.

I bought Secret Garden back in the fall from Amazon on a whim, as a possible extra Christmas present for someone. I never gave it away so now I'm keeping it for myself! I also just bought another friend on a mandala coloring book and colored pencils for her birthday. I'm feeling "cutting-edge" for the first time in my life! LOL

Darn enablers! I just had two put on hold at Barnes and Noble. I'm off to pick them up! I wish I had these when I was sitting at the hospital with my grandmother. I needed something relaxing to keep me busy.

I'm a doodler/zentangler too and have actually thought about putting some of my drawings together to print as a coloring book. It sounds like now might be the time to move forward with this idea!
